I have loved OPI since becoming obsessed with nail polishes a few years ago...and now I have such a huge collection! What I love most about OPI is the range of colours they have available, colours that you just don't find anywhere else. For most colours one coat usually does the trick, but I like bold colours so I tend to do at least 2 coats. What I dislike about OPI is the fact they are so expensive! For this reason, I'm branching out and trying polishes from other brands to see how they compare. As well as this, OPI chips a day after I apply it (literally) so for me, I know if I don't want to go through that process, I won't wear it. Lastly, I dislike how the different collections almost always are limited edition, so you have to stock up on your favourite colour!

OPI Nail Lacquer Review
Reviews
Tips: I have weaker nails, so this may be the reason OPI chips so easily for me. I wonder if it works better for those with naturally strong nails?
OPI as a brand are renowned for their epic nail polish collections, and lets not forget the quality of their polishes. Every single polish I've used and owned from OPI have never failed to deliver - high, beautiful colour intensity, a nice formulation with the polish consistency being easy to work with and the manicure usually lasts a while before chipping. I really like the fact that you can get OPI in mini's as well. I just received an OPI "It's My Year" bottle today, a colour I'm completely in love with at the moment.
Tips: Always use a base coat to give the polish a nice surface to glide onto and a top coat to finish the look.
This is the second liquid sand I have tried and I just can't get over how fabulous they are!
The colour of this is just beautiful. After one coat I was thinking hmmm this is a bit weird but once the second coat goes on it really pops. The base turns into a really luxurious black and the red sparkles through.
This is such a good nail polish for a night look as its really glamorous but it is just as easily played down in the day because it is a subtle type of glam.
My favourite part about liquid sands is that they are so hard to chip! It takes a good few days before they start to wear and they are so easy to apply without stuffing up!
Liquid sands continue to be winners in my eyes!
I love using OPI nail polish, it's abrand I can always trust.
Te colours are amazing and so much variety, and the mixture is not too thin & runny like some of the cheaper brands. I can build layers, or just use a couple. It's also quite hard wearing and stays on until i take it off myself.
Bottles are also easy to grip when your nails are still wet and the brush is easy and doesnt streak.
Tips: Use a good treatment once a month to keep nails healthy!
I love these polishes, my favourite formula by far - they go on really smoothly and I haven't had one that's needed more than two coats. The brush is good too! Lincoln Park After Dark has got to be my favourite colour.
Tips: Make sure you use a base coat otherwise you could stain your nails (especially with the darker colours).
OPI nail polishes are the best polishes I have tried by far! They are so pigmented and glide on so easily. I love that they have a thicker brush so it makes it so quick and easy, and you only need 2 sometimes 3 coats to achieve the perfect colour. My favourite color by far is I Eat Mainly Lobster-one of the most amazing coral/orange colours I've seen
Tips: Definitely recommend a good base coat- I used a super dark purple once without and my nails were stained for days!
Everyone know's and loves OPI that's a given, but I almost feel a little bit guilty about throwing every OPI colour into the same "review basket"...
On the whole I have had great results. The colours are always stunning, the glittery ones are a must have, really the selection is great! But the price for NZ is ridiculous. I have a massive nailpolish collection and if I spent $24.90 everytime I'd be broke. Prices in the US for example are way more reasonable for OPI so maybe hunt around :)) On the whole great products sure, a tad pricey, is it worth it? For your fav shades sure, a juicy red, a nice midnight blue... but I wouldn't splurge regularly.
Tips: Using a matte topcoat over some of the brighter more intense colours gives them a really great bold look.
Affair In Red Square : This is BY FAR the best red nail polish Ive ever used. It is the perfect deep red and looks super sexy on! OPI is my favourite brand of nail polish and worth every cent as the colours actually last and very chip resistant. Love the huge range they have too so there is a colour for every occasion!
Tips: Looks even better when you use OPI's base coat before you apply affair in red square and lasts that bit longer too.
Opi is my favorite nail polish brand. The have a huge range of colours and glitters so never at a loss for a colour. They wear grate and last well. They don't take to long dry.all thumbs up from me. Price is ok always good to stock up on buy one get one free.
I love this nailpolish!!! Its the best out, Ina range of great colours and witty names it makes an ideal bday pressie too- HOWEVER my partner brought me some minis for Christmas- a 12 pack and they were shocking! Chipped and came off like a $2 shop nailpolish- i was really disappointed and thought maybe another supplier makes the minis? Has anyone else had this problem?
Tips: I would personally stick to the larger/ normal sized OPIs rather than the Minis.
