Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Diamond Shine Base and Top Coat

I love Sally Hansen products but this one didn't blow me away. It peels of quite easily and doesn't shine anymore than the normal top coats I have used. One thing that does make all Sally Hansen products amazing is they dry real quick and solid.

I really like this top coat - I find that it makes my nails last a couple of days longer than some other top coats, and is especially good over glitter polishes. The only negative is I find this takes quite a long time to dry - maybe I just apply it too think but it takes forever!

This is my go-to product for clear polish, base coat and top coat. It has a nice finish on my nails, goes on well and is nice and thick. It lasts well and doesn't chip. I particularly like to use it as a glossy clear polish to make my nails look shiny and healthy.

I ordered this wee baby from the Beauty Vault, and while I haven't been disappointed with it - It definitely hasn't wowed me either.

I find it a fast drying and good performing base coat. I don't use it as a top coat because have others I prefer.

I have noticed however that it is great to apply under Nail Wraps (which I wear frequently) as it gives the glue a nice base to adhere to (and makes them easy to remove) so I would repurchase it just for that.

I picked one of these up from the beauty vault and I am seeing some good results so far!

The packaging is probably the weirdest part of the product. Its a a nice shiny silver which is a cool feature but i can not figure out whether it is glass or plastic.. it almost feels like its glass with a plastic coating around it which cheapens the design a bit. The lid on mine also detaches from the brush sometimes but it screws back on easily so not a biggy.

Now on to the actual product. It goes on so easily, be extra careful to tap a bit off because a lot of product comes of the brush and its quite runny. I like that its runny because I find some of the OPI polishes go gluggy very quickly.

Drying time is reasonably quick, i'd say 2minutes tops and you're set to go with the next coat. I like that it is a multipurpose base and top coat too, super convenient. Make sure you use the push and pull technique when applying it and be extra careful that you don't apply too much as it has a tendency to bubble if you do.

I think this product definitely live up to its name "diamond strength" My nail polish is lasting days longer than it usually would and its all because of this stuff! Its making my nails incredibly strong and more durable.

After using this product I'm excited to try some more Sally Hansen stuff!

I was lucky enough to score one if these from the beauty vault. I found that the packaging was quite plain and not really appealing to me. I find that the product goes on easy and dries super fast. I have been using this product for two weeks and I have found that it hasn't improved the strength to my nails. It also peels off which is really odd. I have used this as a base coat for my nails and also as a top coat and have found that whatever color or range of actual nail polish I wear last longer. I sadly wouldn't repurchase as it hasn't improved my brittle nails.

Sally Hansen are a great brand and reliable, this is why I decided to try this. I was erally happy with it, good shine, if I wanted clear, did help build strength up, but you have to be consistent! happy with it as a top coat, but would not use a base coat, can make polish peel easy.

Sally Hansen is a great lower priced brand of nail polish. So when I saw a buy 2 get 1 free deal at Farmers I couldn't resist trying Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Diamond Shine Base and Top Coat.

The bottle is a mirror-like colour which clearly 'reflects' the name Diamond Strength Diamond Shine. It's easy to open and the brush is a great size, perfect for nail application. The polish glides on easily but be careful as to how much you put on the brush as a little goes a long way.

The end result is a spectacular diamond shine that keeps my nail polish colour from chipping or cracking for up to a week.

Pros: Great shine, Reasonably priced, Conveniently located (Farmers, Chemists), Long wearing, A little goes a long way.

Cons: Bottle is made of a weird material.

Overall: Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Diamond Shine Base and Top Coat is a great addition for any nail polish kit.

The packaging is clever, and is a glass bottle with a silver coating to represent the ‘diamond’ aspect of this product! In saying that, I think the bottle would have felt more expensive without a cheap coating, but I understand the idea behind this design.

The texture of this product began quite thin and the thinness of this product made it really quick to dry, which is something I love, since I hate waiting around for my nails to dry (I’m not very patient. After a while of using this product it slightly thicker, im not sure if this is normal but it did not create any problems and the product was still easy to use. However, when the bottle starting getting empty, I find the brush did not reach down enough to get the remaining product out of the bottle, leaving the brush with little product, and my nails with streaks! However, this is actually a problem I have with most nail polishes so I’m not that surprised by it.

I brought this at Farmers, and it sounded like everything I needed! A top and bottom coat, that would make my nails strong. Yes this product was a good base coat, and yes it was a good top coat! But I don’t think it made my nails any stronger! Regardless, I would still use it as a top and bottom coat, so I would recommend this product.

I use this whenever my nails are flaky, damaged and brittle. Always, always use this product after having acrylic or gel nails on for a while. It instantly makes my nails harder and stonger and is fast drying. I personally have never hasd the pleasure of 10 day wear though - but I think that is down to the individual, it proably lasts around 5-8 days on my nails.
