I personally love it! im actually wearing it now! (Alcatraz rocks) although i find it chips quite easily (i don't apply top coats). the colours are amazing!

Tips: apply more than one coat :)

Great

I love the sand shades - adds a whole new dimension to your ordinary nail polish. The few things I have found though are some shades are better than others (have better colours so shows effect more) and unfortunately you can not put an top coat on these so they sometimes start to flake. Overall though I love them.

Polish perfection!

Words cannot express how much I love these polishes. They go on so easily and only need about 2 strokes per finger and that's it! Only one cost needed. I get so many complements on these polishes, especially the blue shade. They are very hard to remove though, which means the colour lasts a long time :)

Tips: DO NOT apply top coat :)

Great effect

I now have a collection of liquid sand polishes which seem to be multiplying unintentionally- I just can't resist them! OPI liquid sand nail polishes apply very easily- a little goes a long way and the colours I have used are well pigmented so 1-2 coats is more than enough. The polish dries quickly which is perfect for when you are in a rush. The polish has a great texture- kind of like fine grade sand paper. You don't need to use a top coat either, which is another bonus!! I have found these polishes are fairly chip resistant- I can get a good 2 days before I need to do touch ups. One problem I have found and have seen from other people reviews, is that they are pretty stubborn and take some work to get off.

Long-lasting and quick drying!

OPI's Liquid Sand polishes are a really cool invention. They have a different texture to any other polish and have really different finishes.

They are a bit trickier to apply due to the formula being very thick, but they dry quicker than all my other polishes and last a LOT longer.

Wear time for these is a week easily, and that's with using my hands day in day out. They don't chip, they only wear signs they show are tip wear over time.

Removal however.. THE HARDEST THING EVER. Seriously though, this polish is practically bomb proof. You need to soak your nails in remover and scrub to get these off, which I find makes my nails dry and a bit peely for a while afterwards. This is the trade off though for such a long wearing polish I suppose!

Tips: Don't ever use these without a basecoat!

Love them!

Love the colours and the ability to wear with or without top coat, I do find this chip quite easily so may not be best for people wanting paint their nails once a week and be done with it but I do get about 4 days of wear if I add a top coat, this takes away the sandy finish and the matte look though.

My fave colour I have is Jinx from the Bond girls collection, I wore it fairly regularly over summer and it's an awesome bright coral with tiny gold glitters... Love it!!

OPI LIQUID SANDS

I love the liquid sands and I have a few of them; The Impossible, its a pinky red colour with stars! Pussy Galore a soft pink, All Sparkly and Gold, Emotions which is black, from the brazil collection, Samba-dy Loves Purple, I'm Brazil Nuts over you (pinky red), What's a little rainforest? (teal blue), You're so flippy floppy (yellow). I love the texture and feel of these liquid sands, the colours are great and you can either use with or without top coat depending on what look you are after. Overall i would recommend these!

OPI Liquid Sand Nails!

My OPI Liquid Sand polish is called Tiffany Case and is a sparkly deep blue that reminds me of the beach - it's an ocean blue colour with the texture of sand. For some people the texture of these polishes can be disturbing, but for me I think it feels pretty cool. It can be a little annoying sometimes, as it's rough, gritty surface can get stuck on fluffy things and materials.

I really love OPI nail polishes for their easy application bottles and the brush isn't too skinny, it's really easy to swipe the colours on in three brushes. I've worn my Tiffany Case nail polish on my toenails a few times, and the one big thing with these polishes is that they are SO hard to take off! While their liquid formula goes on so smoothly, the grittiness of the liquid sand when it sets hugs on really tight to your nail! Without using nail polish remover, it literally took months for this polish on my toes to start chipping. If you're wearing it on your fingernails however, because you use your fingers in every day life a lot more than your toes, (I hope!) it does chip away pretty quickly. To get everything off your nails does take some time, I hold a cotton ball partly soaked in a good nail polish remover for as many seconds as I have the patience for (try at least 30 seconds) onto my nails and then rub firmly up and down.

I bought my one and only OPI Liquid Sands nail polish on special for under $12 I think, but seeing the regular price for $23 I'd rather buy a cheaper nail polish brand instead of this, even though I love OPI, it's an awesome brand, or only get it again on special.

Wearing a nail polish with a sandy texture is a really cool change from your ordinary smooth polish, I do really like my one and I think YES it is pretty amazing. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something new, fun and exciting - this is it. OPI has a really awesome range of pretty colours to suit whatever mood you're in. I do love OPI, I love their colours, their long-lasting quality and their smooth, evenly applied coats; but I have to agree they are a little over priced. I will totally buy more OPI when they are on special, can't wait to bring some new guys home to join my little family of polishes, but not when they're selling for the full price.

OPI Liquid Sand is definitely worth looking into and yup, I think they're everything they say they'll be.

Tips: These polishes are really stubborn, and are tricky to get off. You'll need to press hard with a polish-remover soaked cotton ball for at least 30 seconds on each nail, and then scrub it hard!

Gritty glitter

I was lucky to recieve a set of 4 of these for a birthday (I believe it was the Mariah Carey set) containing a black with red glitter, a blue, a red and a purple OPI Liquid Sand polish.

Like all OPI polishes these are a good consistency, with a good brush (even in the mini size) and good coverage.

The point of difference to these is the liquid sand aspect - the best way I can think of to describe it would be as a matte glitter, which makes no sense but is what they are. There is some sparkle, and (with a clear topcoat) a bit of shine, but the true glory lies in the texture and the crazy depth of colour that is somehow made possible by the tiny 3D 'sand' particles.

You DO need a few coats of this to build up the depth, but once you have it it's really quite striking.

This polish wears well - almost too well as it can be a nightmare to remove, requiring soaking of nails (or a trip to the salon for them to do it with their magic liquid ;) ) but it's really quite cool to look at, so I persevere.

A word of warning though - this does leave your nails super rough - it's a little like you've been building sandcastles and haven't cleaned the sand off your hands - so watch delicate fabrics, hair, baby skin etc as they can be a little abrasive when fresh.
