I have really weak nails, especially after getting acrylics (anyone who has had them will definitely understand). I wanted a semi-natural way to strengthen my nails without a huge amount of effort.
I used revitanail for a week as instructions recommended on the back of the product. You are supposed to apply two coats firstly, then one coat every day after that and after a week you are meant to remove and complete the routine again - I wasnt very impressed without sounding bitchy.
The texture of the product is very similar to clear nail polish, perhaps a little thicker. sets, dries and looks just like clear nail polish would. I mean it definitely strengthens my nails but now thinking about it I think clear nail polish would have done the exact same thing.
If I hadnt got it for free from the awesome beautyreview crew, I dont think I would personally purchase it but since I did, I will use it to the end of its use :) but like I said, very similar to clear nail polish (which can be purchased for as little as $2 gals)
I got this nail strengthener in the 'We Love Nails' beauty box.
I got going trying it as soon as I could as I really like the idea of strong nails.
Does it work? well, straight away my nails looked and felt better. I only used it for a few days, which some might say isn't long enough to know. Well, the problem is, I would've loved to keep going, but the smell was making me feel ill, and in the end I had such a hideous migraine, that it had to go. Such a shame, but it can't be helped. I don't like using varnish or nail polish remover for the same reason (acetate/acetone?).
If these smelly substances don't bother you, then by all means try this product, as from what I could see, it does work.
