As I love my nails painted at all times, I use a lot of nail polish remover.
I came across these nail polish remover pads in a pharmacy and thought I would try them. I am always worried with nail polish remover I might tip it over or spill it, it is nasty stuff on your surfaces.
These little cotton rounds are nice smelling [not like liquid nail polish remover] and clean your nails well. I usually use two. One cleans the bulk of the polish off and the second one just finishes off. They leave your nails clean and the skin around your nails nourished and they do not dry out your nails or skin.
I love these as they are totally mess free and you cant really spill them.
I got these in a Swisspers value pack with other things I needed like cotton buds and rounds. I was interested to see how well these would work, especially since the pads are very thin. I found that one pad was good for removing the polish off two nails. I could make the pad work to take the polish off five nails but that would require more rubbing and after doing it once I found buffing my nails with the thin cotton pad to take all the nail polish off took awhile. The pros of this product, is that the nail polish remover doesn't have a really strong smell and the container is spill proof and small. So really handy if you are going away for a week and you know your manicure might start to look tacky and need removing while you are away. The main thing that I used this for was to sort of sharpen the lines of my French tips I would fold these in half and buff it against the top of the French tip to even the line out. It worked well for that. It was nice that pad was thin and had nail polish remover on it already but not tons as it just removed enough nail polish to straighten and sharpen my French tips. I think this is good for if you get nail polish around your nails while doing nail art or something these already have nail polish remover so handy to use to just remove what got around your nail. However if I am going to use it for its intended purpose to completely remove my manicure I find that nail polish remover and a cotton round does a better and easier job. So I'm not sure if I am going to repurchase these unless I was traveling.
Tips: This is handy for wiping around your nails if you aren't super good at painting your nails. Good for traveling if you're going to go away for a week and want to travel light and you think you may need to remove your mani before then. When before I am going to use these, before I start painting my nails I like to separate the two few pads or however many I think I'll need from the stack so I can easily grab them particularly if I am painting my nails and don't want to mess up my manicure trying to separate the top pad from the stack. After you use them make sure you screw the lid back on tight otherwise they'll dry out. For every day home use, you'll get more for your buck out of using a bottle of nail polish remover and a pack of cotton rounds.
