Love the large range of shades that Mac lipstick have to offer. They glide on nice and smoothly and have a nice creamy texture. They are very wearable and long lasting but a bit pricey

MACs sin lipstick is the perfect 'grunge' colour. It's a super deep berry/red that has a matte finish. This was generously gifted to me by my bff - I hadn't ever seen the shade and was delighted to try it.
It has extreme pigmentation - one swipe across my lips provides perfect opacity. As this is a matte it is a little drying but it definitely isn't the driest lipstick I have tried. Even though it's matte, it doesn't pull or skip on my lips when applying it and you can build up the colour easily enough if you wish to.
The staying time on this is around 5 hours for me with a lip liner. If I am wearing this to work I will take it with me and reapply throughout the day. Overall this is a beautiful lipstick and it is easily one of my favourites. I love it.
I brought this colour coming through duty free, so it wasn't as pricey : ) I love how pigmented it is, and it is long lasting - almost becoming like a stain if not reapplied. Though find it is a little drying than i would like. Its more of a pinky-red than orange or blue based.
The packaging could have been better. I have bought a few mac lipsticks in the past and while all have had great colour intensity and fairly normal lasting time, however the tubes often break: usually with the internal casing containing the stick itself meaning that it is lose inside the tube. This causes the lipstick to get blunt and wasted against the sides of the tube.
Tips: When using the matte shades its better to apply the product with a brush and it may take several coats to get a decent level of coverage (the stick is quite hard in the matte shades.) Also ensure that you have done a lip scrub first to get rid of dead skin so it doesn't cause a lumpy finish.
I had the matte fawn colour, freckle.and I found that it was a very pretty and full covering lipstick. It even smelled great! The only downside it that it's slightly drying and a little bit sticky when applied.
I love Mac lipsticks. I only have these two shades but both are very pigmented and will slightly stain lips. These lipsticks are long lasting. I naturally have chapped /dry lips, and mac lipsticks are not that hydrating . I always have to prep my lips by exfoliating and wearing lip balm before and after applying the lipsticks. I love these lippies regardless!
Tips: Lipliner will help make these lipsticks last even longer!
I have this in candy yum yum (fluorescent pink) and it is such an awesome colour.
The lipstick has really good staying power and lasts on your lips for hours!
It is nice and smooth and easy to apply, however it makes my lips look dry and flaky when they actually are not. I guess this is because it is a matte shade.
I currently have MAC lipsticks in Russian Red (so far, my favorite), Candy Yum Yum and Tangerine Dream. I love MAC's staying power, I don't have to retouch often and it stays even after eating/drinking. Russian Red is very classic. Candy Yum Yum screams attention. But, Tangerine Dream is a big flop - at least on me. It made me look pale and "made-up". And, the color doesn't seem to stick to my lips. Tangerine Dream was a total loss of money.
Tips: MAC lipsticks can be really drying so I usually put on some petroleum jelly during the night so when I wake up in the morning, my lips are smooth, moisturized and primed for some MAC beauty ^_^.
The thing I love most about MAC lipsticks are the wide variety and the colours are beautiful! I find the matte ones stay one a lot nicer and longer than other types. But overall always happy with my MAC lips :)
Tips: For non matte types I put a subtle nude underneth for full colour potential
It's easy to see why the MAC lipstick range has the reputation it does. They're always smooth, creamy and pigmented, with good staying power. There's such a vast range of colours available, there's something for everyone. I tend to stick to nudes - I particularly enjoy MAC lipsticks for work wear for the above reasons, as well as how moisturising they are. My ONLY gripe is that I have had a couple just break off at the bottom. ARGH! Otherwise I'd give them 5 stars.
