Ohh i was skeptical about them wee gems. I always wonder what the hype was with mac products, as ive never really been fussed to buy any.. (with those price tag, i like to think of myself as a bargin beauty shopper) After my frieind left one of her mac lippys in my possetion I decided to trial it, and WOW. Such amazing colour pay off, a lip stick they stays, all night long. I cant wait to grow my little collection, these are well worth the price. The girls at MAC will even help you find the perfect shade to match your skin tone.

MAC lipsticks are classics. Right from walking up to the MAC counter, you are immersed into this world of lipsticks, with so many colours and finishes laid out in front of you.
I originally was looking at a Matte lipstick, but ended up with a Satin one. The lipstick goes on creamy and smooth, but retains a relatively matte look. Like most lipsticks overtime it can get a little drying, but overall this lipstick does a decent job at not affecting lip hydration.
The lipstick also last a reasonable amount of time. Maybe around 4 hours.
In terms of packaging, its nothing exciting, but is a perfectly functional bullet lipstick.
What I love most about MAC is their huge range in lipsticks, what I like least about MAC is the price.
Tips: If you or your friends are going overseas check the duty free and overseas prices.
I love this shade of lipstick. I wear it on a regular basis as an everyday colour as it isn't too out there and can go with most makeup looks. I love the nude colours but it doesn't give you the 'foundation lips' look as it is a slightly darker nude. I will definitely be buying this again when I run out.
My first time ever visiting M.A.C was earlier this year. Right?! What took me so long!!! A friend said to me 'you need to buy a M.A.C lippy, you will love it!'.... Sure sure.
Well I never! I now own 2 and have a wishlist of 13 of them. I have Dark Side which is a deep burgundy and comes in the amplified finish. A creamy stick which glides on perfectly and is super pigmented. No need to build the colour up as it's there from the first swipe. This shade bleeds a little but match it with a lip pencil and it works beautifully.
I also have Rebel. This is my go to shade a perfect plum purple. Looks amazing on its own or with a full glam makeup look. Creamy and soft, beautifully pigmented. This comes in the 'satin' finish.
I find they aren't long wearing, especially when you're eating and drinking etc so make sure you pop it in your purse/handbag to take with you so you can do touch ups when necessary :)
I love these lipsticks, I'm super thankful to my friend who introduced them to me! At $40 a pop my collection will grow but slowly lol.
Only have 1 colour but it vibrant goes on smooth and wears well. I do prefer liquid lipsticks but would repurchase. Quite pricey though!
Favourite matte formula by far!! I find that when I apply it, there can be some rough edges but nothing a lipliner can't fix. Can be overly drying and tends to crumble a bit.
Tips: Scrub your lips ! ! ! ! !
These lipsticks last so long to the point where if I don't take them off at night, they'll still be on in the afternoon the next day. I am in love with this lipstick and would recommend to everyone. It's not streaky and you don't have to apply too much, therefore giving value for price
Ruby Woo is currently my first and only Mac lipstick. It sticks really well, but can be a little drying. Using a good lip conditioner before hand and also a lip scrub can make it last better.
When applying (as with any lippy) make sure not to accidentally smudge it on your skin, otherwise it can be rather hard to take off!
I will deffo be getting more!!
Tips: Can smudge a little bit, make sure to use a lip-liner and blot it!
I love MAC lipsticks, the simple black packaging, the colour choice is huge and highly pigmented, they are creamy and moisturising and easy to apply with out a brush. My favourite thing about MAC lipstick is there is no cakey makeup smell to them. Would highly recommend.
Tips: Wear a lip linner to stop and bleeding or colour.
Well everyone knows MAC lipsticks are the bomb, I was sceptical at first thinking maybe it was just a name drop but when I tried them I was in lipstick heaven. My favourite is the matte lipstick in velvet teddy, you can wear this colour with any outfit and look fab! Although I find it does dry my lips out if I don't put on a hydrating lip balm before applying the lipstick.
Tips: Match it with a MAC lip liner and apply that first, colour in your lips and it tends to prolong the wear of the lipstick, also apply a hydrating balm before applying and let it soak in before applying.
