This lipcolour is shaped like a crayon which makes it super easy to apply - you just draw it on! It has a lovely creamy texture which dries to a lightweight matte coverage. Afterwards my lips felt super soft! The pigmentation is very intense, just one sheer layer is enough for a colour that stands out and lasts. This lipstick was given to me by a friend so the colour isn't something I'd normally wear ('Fierce Redoubtable' - a sort of brick colour), but I do feel fierce when I wear it :)

Tips: This is creamier than the usual drying matte formulation. I usually use a moisturising balm under those drying types of lippie, but this one doesn't need it at all. In fact, it would probably slip straight off :)
I have always been a big fan of Revlon kissable balm stain and I'm also in love with this line. This is a must-try if you want to have smooth yet matte lips.
The size of the packaging is pretty much the same with the older line (kissable balm stain) but guess what, it's in matte too, so cute and easy to distinguish when you own different shades.
The price is very affordable, I bought mine off ebay for 15$ incl. shipping but you can buy from Farmers when they are on sale for about 18$. And of course, it lasts for ages.
I bought three shades: Audacious (neon tangerine) , Shameless (purple) and complex (nude). Much as I love shameless and complex, audacious did not work really well for me. It's the shade that Emma Stone wore for the campaign but the balm just doesn't stay on my lips at all.
I really love the texture ( except for Audacious), it's very smooth and hydrating your lips quite well. The lippies are matte but they don't dry up, you just need to apply the lipstick and have the matte effect immediately.
In terms of longevity, this line does not stay as long as balm stain but can last for at least 2 coffee.
Tips: if you want the lippie to stay longer, apply the Revlon balm stain of same or close shade before this to lengthen the wear, up to half a day ;)
Is there anything cuter than a crayon lipstick? It could teeter on the edge of cutesy, but Revlon have created a crayon that manages to be adorable, whilst still being sophisticated. Yes, I do like the packaging.
I own one of these in the shade 'Sultry', and the colour is stunning on my skin tone. Every time I wear it I receive a compliment, and who doesn't like that?
But do I like the product, apart from the packaging, and the colour? Yes, mostly. The balm goes on so smoothly, and the crayon makes it really easy to define and fill your lips. It glides on, feels moisturising, and the colour payoff is intense. It also has this really yummy minty smell - it doesn't hang around, but it does make for a delicious application experience.
Stickability? It has it. It's often still on my lips after a few hours, however for some reason I end up with the lipstick sticking around the outer rims of my lips (up until about .5cm in) and the the inner part of my lips becomes bare very quickly, (and it happens whether I'm eating/drinking or not at all), and I end up with an unfortunate two tone effect. This may not happen for everyone, this could be a Kellie-quirk. But it's enough for me to stop giving it top marks, as I don't generally have the time to touch up my lipstick every hour, which is why I prefer either a lipstick that fades evenly, or one of those amazing new lipsticks that you need makeup remover in order to get it off your lips.
It's that one little thing that stops this being a lipstick that I reach for on a daily basis. I tend to use it now only when I'm off for a quick client appointment. Still, I'd recommend this matte balm, because it really is rather fabulous.
I got this in the shade Elusive as part of my Xmas present thos year and I'm absolutely obsessed with it! Id been lusting over these in Farmers for ages now and I'm just so in love. The color is soft yet vibrant, the matte finish looks classy and satin without appearing dry or too dull, and most of all it feels so smooth and soft to wear. I love the concept of crayons, they're so easy to use and are super comfy to hold. The staying power is great although I have tried my best to avoid eating and drinking when wearing this. Overall an awesome matte lippy
This lip crayon completely surprised me, I was looking for a bright pink lipstick and tested this in a drugstore, only to find that not only was it super soft and hydrating, but also the colour was so pigmented and strong! I have to admit, I didn't really have room in my budget that week, but I couldn't stop thinking about it so I had to buy it! First of all, the application is surprisingly easy despite the broad tip, although I can imagine as you use it more you may have to be a bit more careful, or use a lip liner. Secondly, the colour is very matte, which I love, and very long-lasting, as it claims to be. Even when it does begin to fade, it fades quite naturally so that it doesn't look like you haven't reapplied. You also don't need to do too many coats to get a nice, strong colour, so in terms of price its well worth the cost. Since its a balm, its also very hydrating and doesn't dry out your lips. Everything about this product is a hit for me, and I absolutely recommend it to everyone, especially if you have trouble applying traditional lipsticks and want a less harsh product for your lips.
I have shameless and it's long lasting and pigmented and a great product and I would buy it in a more neutral shade but the only issue is the damn smell. It smells horrible and it's the one thing I don't like about it.
I really enjoyed using this product and loved the particular colour I bought! I had been trying to find lipstick where the colour would stay put and not rub off easily but after buying many 24hour long lasting lipsticks I gave up as none of them really worked. I chose this product because it had a matt finish but was still nourishing. I find it lasts a suitable amount of time before needing to reapply and I loved the colours available. Most importantly for me it was in my budget!
Tips: Definitely need to reapply after eating - especially, if like me, you're keen on kebabs, nachos or sugar covered pastries!
I got the darkest plum colour they had and I absolutely loved it. Great color, coverage and texture. Can be hard to get a clean line as the product starts to wear down which can be a pain but I loved the colour so much I put up with it. When mine runs out I'll definitely be replacing it!
I am loving these for everyday wear. I have now purchased three of the colours (Standout, Sultry and Shameless) and I've been wearing them almost every day both for work and partying. The matte finish is the biggest drawcard for me as I'm not a fan of shiny lips and I love the fact that it's a balm and doesn't have that sticky, drying texture that a lot of matte lipsticks can have. The staying power is better than I expected for a balm and I tend to only need a serious touch up after a meal. Another added bonus is the subtle minty flavour. Of all the colours I have bought, I seem to be getting the most mileage out of Standout right now. It's an excellent shade of bright red. I'd love to see them add more dark colours to the range.
I've been putting off this review for so long because I wanted to get another shade! My first purchase was in the shade "205 Elusive" which is like a Barbie pink, but more muted. The second shade I have is in "225 Sultry" - a sort of maroony-plum?
First off, the scent is peppermint, and if you're very sensitive to smell, it does linger a little. I'm not fussed, so it's never been a problem for me. Secondly, it is so moisturising! When applying it on your lips it truly feels like a lipbalm and even when rubbing your lips together. Which comes to my third point, although it feels like a lipbalm, the pigmentation and appearance of it is very much like a matte lipstick.
The longevity is normal in comparison to other matte lipsticks, transfers slightly, and does fade when eating anything oily. But the good thing about reapplication is that it's the same as when you first put it on aka it doesn't appear patchy or like you've obviously reapplied. Brownie points to you, Revlon!
All in all, I highly recommend this range especially for girls with dry lips who need that extra moisture/stray away from dehydrating liquid lipsticks.
Tips: You can also easily mix colours together as they don't react to one another and are so blendable.
