Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick - Couture

I originally used Revlons Colorstay Soft and Smooth Lipcolor which I really loved using on a day to day basis because it was long lasting, had a creamy finish and was non drying but unfortunately they discontinued that range last year and replaced it with this new range. They claimed this newer range of Colourstay lippies would be better because it would still be long lasting and that it would not transfer, so when you take a drink the lipstick would stay on your lips and not on the cup. I purchased two colours as soon as they became available, Fashionista and Catwalk. The colours are perfect as is the packaging but I found that when I wore them after maybe two to three hours they looked gluggy on my lips and so I had to remove it then reapply. Yes there was less transfer to my morning tea cup which was a win win for me but I don't like it as much as the previous range. Feels nice and velvety when you first put it on but it does change it's consistency throughout the day. I guess I have a love hate relationship with this one and seeing that I have already purchased two (I paid $27 each for mine), I will continue using them because I still class them as a good lippy , just not as good as it's predecessor.

I was extremely excited to try this product after picking it up at a beauty sale as I generally LOVE Revlon products. However, I was extremely disappointed with this product. It applied beautifully and the colours were lovely, BUT it made my lips go dry and flaky within half an hour. The more product I applied, the worse it got. I would definitely NOT recommend these lipsticks because of this, despite the beautiful colour selection.

I brought this when they first came out, as I do love new lippys. I have to say the only thing I don't like about it is that it does dry my lips out further than normal and if I reapply during the day it goes cakey I have tried putting a lip balm underneath and this has helped a bit, I do love the colour range that they have in farmers and if it was more creamier I would buy more of them

I bought the couture from a makeup sale to try and in all honesty I wasn't so impressed. While it went on smoothly , it soon dried up and went clumpy and tacky looking on my lips which wasn't a good look at all. Was really hard to come of to which was frustrating after it looked horrible. Was not really pleased at all and have since put in my unused pile of makeup

I purchased this in the colour 095 Finale. I found this lippy a little drying. It does not last long on your lips at all. And the smell, although it doesn't smell bad, personally I didn't like it. The "ultimate suede" name is a little deceiving.

Love this range! Super good colour choice! Brught and vibrant colours.

I find they can be a bit flakey after a full days wear and need some re-application.

Formula goes on creamy and yummy though.

The name of this product is not at all suitable! I have 005 Muse, I purchased it as I thought is was a vibrant pink. The colour is very sheer and does not last at all. It goes on very smoothly but quickly dries out and becomes clumpy. I would definitely not recommend this product if you want a long lasting, strongly pigmented lipstick.

I purchased 085 Trendsetter while on the hunt for my perfect red, one coat looks great as a sheer lipgloss, anything more and it dries and goes flaky but feels tacky to the touch.... super weird. I found it didn't last long at all either. Definitely not what it's made out to be and certainly wouldn't buy it again.

I was given this as a present, and tried it on straight away. What impressed me first, was the amazing colour. Being only a few shades darker than my own colour, it filled my lips out perfectly, and went so well with my skin and hair colour.

It glided on easily and smoothly. very easy application. It has quite a thin texture so rather than just sitting on your lips, your lips easily soaks it up and become plump and full.

The colour lasts ages. i apply it twice daily while i go out and it sticks even after drinking and eating. It's great for windy weather because it's not sticky anough to make your hair stick to your lips.
