NYX Professional Makeup Butter Lipstick Review

I have this in a peach shade. I find these lipsticks are very creamy and soften the lips when using, usually lipsticks dry my lips out days after Ive worn them but not with this. The shade is more pastel like on me and glides on easy. The case is nice, and has a clear strip to see the products colour, very large sized for a lipstick so you get a lot of bang for your buck. I paid $10 off a makeup selling page on facebook.

I got 3 of these a couple of weeks ago. Hunk - which is a bright slightly purple pink, Fun Size - a peachy neutral shade which I'll never wear in public, makes me look sick; and my favourite - Licorice which is a dark pinkish purple that has a vampy 90's feel to it. First of all. The packaging colour and the stick colours are different to how they actually look on the lip so I'll never buy another one based on the outer colours. The packaging is a very classic lipstick tube. Nothing special really but happy that the lid stays on in my handbag. NYX Lip butters are butter soft and I would definitely agree that they keep my lips nice and soft. I found after an hour of application when I rubbed my lips together, they were still soft unlike some other lippies that will feel dry. It goes the lip a little inconsistently but rubbing the lips together or smoothing over with a brush fixes that ok. I found the colour comes off on quite a bit so I wouldn't wear these when malloMr wears the white shirt And they do require quite a few touch ups throughout the day. overall though I really like the 2 pink/purple colours I got .

These are highly pigmented, they feel not creamy but moisturizing on the lips. I brought 2 shades Razzle fiesta (hot pink) and hunk beau gosse (plum) I usually wear a matte lip but when im hurry I just slap this on. as with most nyx lip products the color of the tube is the same as the lip product, which is always a good thing. super affordable, decent product.

I ended up trying these when I received it in my ipsy bag. The color I received was HUNK which is this real pretty purple color. It was highly pigmented but could also be worn sheer if Applied with a light hand. It is light and smooth made my lips feel great almost like a silicone feel I would compare the formula to mongojongo lip balm. Over all I really enjoyed this product and would purchase it in other colors.

I have this product in the colors Candy Buttons and Snow Cap. Both are definitely buttery, smooth and subtle. The colors are beautiful and feel lovely on the lips, I don't notice a smell.

This product however cannot be used alone. If you want a lippie that you can swipe over your lips and it will stay all day this isn't it. If you use it on bare lips you probably wont be too wowed. Because it is so buttery it will slide off.

BUT!!!! If you prep your lips with concealer and/or lip primer, with a matching lip liner, you will love this product. I find them the perfect compliment to the NYC Soft Matte Lip Creams, which can be drying (but have gorgeous pigment!).

These lipstick come in a standard twist-up lipstick tube. I keep them in my handbag and I find that the twist mechanism is a bit loose. Sometimes the lipstick twist up on its own which can damage the lipsticks and leave stains in my bag. The colour of the packaging matches the colour of the lipstick. It makes it easier to pick up the right shade from my lipsticks drawer without having to open the it.

Most of the shades are very wearable. They don’t seem to have a smell or a taste. The formula is a cross between a lip balm and a lipstick. They literally feel like a lip balm, so hydrating and moisturising. These lipsticks are beautifully pigmented, I am very impressed with the pigmentation.

They apply opaque even with only a couple of swipes, does not look sheer or light like some other lipsticks. The lipstick glides on beautifully across my lips without tugging, my lips feel super moisturising and smooth. That is the “buttery” feels on my lips with a gorgeous satin finish look. These lipsticks last up to 5 hours without eating or drinking and starts fading and drying out a little bit after that.

Overall, NYX Butter Lipstick are excellent quality at an affordable price. I would definitely invest in a few more and would highly recommend it.

For months I've been watching these on trade me and looking at them on different websites. But I never brought them not sure why. Anyway I entered a competition and was lucky enough to win a Nyx prize pack. All my nyx dreams full filled. I had my eye on sweet tart, hunk and many others.

I was given Snow Cap. This comes in a smooth lipstick holder thats the same colour as the lipstick. I really like the Nyx labelling looks current. This colour is a very pale peachy nude. I do enjoy peachy colours too. There wasn't any scent with this, that didn't bother me. The consistency is so smooth and lives up to its Buttery name. I've not felt a lipstick this smooth before. The colour is bright, I didn't have any patchiness at all.

When I applied it , it just glides on smoothly. When I rub my lips together it feels smooth and soft. It did come off with eating and drinking. I did need to apply more after this. I expect it to come of with most lipsticks though.

Overall this is a winner of a lipstick for me. I really love how it feels on my lips. I will be buying more colours. Their priced affordably and the pigmentation is incredible. I reccomend this as a must have in your make up.

Very creamy and moisturising, the packaging is adorable and I love how it is the colour of the product which makes it easy to grab the right colour if you are in a rush. Not overly pigmented, so needs lip liner under colours you want to pop and be better lip coverage.

So i have three of the nyx butter lipsticks. I purchased the true love nyx lipstick and in that set it came with three lipsticks. It came with snow cap, taffy and candy buttons. Taffy is a nice pink colour, but the other two are pretty sheer. I also feel that this lipstick enhances the cracks and fine lines in ur lips.
