NYX Professional Makeup Butter Glosses Review

I purchased this recently after one of my workmates was raving about them. I purchased the Vanilla Cream Pie colour, as it seemed like a good place to start judging by the online swatches (I got mine from makeup.co.nz in their 15% Off sale).

When it arrived, I was super keen to try it so wore it immediately (but had to wipe it off when I got to work because sadly we do not sell the brand, so I am unable to wear products we do not sell), and I was not disappointed. The smell is to die for, and the texture is, as the name suggest, lovely and buttery.

My colour is a lovely soft pink, so definitely a good choice for a first Butter Gloss, and the colour payoff is sheer-medium, which is nice as it can be worn alone or over a brighter lipstick.

I am very keen to eventually purchase all of the shades and add these to my kit. I do believe every girl should own at least one!

I'm a big NYX fan, I have a small collection of their products and am slowly getting that collection bigger! I'd been wanting to try this gloss out for a while as it has such great reviews but I'm not the biggest gloss fan as I hate stickiness. Anyway, I ordered this off beauty joint along with a few other goodies not long ago. I got the colour Eclair, a pretty light pink. I like the tube, it's compact so would easily fit in a wallet or pocket and the colour of the tube is a pretty good match of the colour inside. It smells good, really sweet and gives a light sheer colour that is not sticky at all. I have worn this alone and over lipstick and I like how it looks both ways. I definitely want more colours to try out now. It's not hugely long wearing, but lets face it- what lipgloss is???

As someone who isn't a fan of lip gloss, I was super hesitant to try these when a friend gifted them to me for Xmas. My expectation was that I wouldn't like them, despite my friend's insisting I would. She was right ;)

I received 3 of these as part of NYX's Pure Decadence set. The shades in this are; Red Velvet - a deep red Tiramisu - a pinky nude Devil's Food Cake - a dark purple.

The packaging for these is beautiful as well as functional. Each tube is clear so you can not only see the colour of the gloss, but how much product is inside. They have a doe foot applicator which is easy to use and the glosses smell like cupcakes.

Each of the three glosses has medium pigmentation - they aren't 100% opaque but they definitely add colour to your lips. All of them are extremely comfortable to wear and don't feel sticky, heavy or gluey. They have a lovely shine to them which makes your lips look super luscious.

As these are glosses, the wear time of them isn't that great (maybe 2 hours on me), but this is something I will overlook because they are no fuss and easy to apply without a mirror.

Overall I was really suprised I like these and I would absolutely recommed giving them a go.

All over instagram I've seen this Nyx brand. Its an American drugstore brand that seems to be quite popular amongst make up artists. I've had this line on my wish list for a while now and I've been wanting to give them a try. I was very fortunate to win a Nyx prizepack online. Almost everything I had been wanting to try is in this pack.

The packaging came to me fully sealed. I opened it up to find that I was given Tiramisu. I like how the packaging identifies the type of coloured gloss. This packaging is made of plastic , has the cool Nyx design on it with a brief descrpition of what this lip gloss is like. I open it up to find a wand with a soft applicator sponge. The texture of this gloss is slightly sticky. This gloss smells like sweet caramel . So yummy. The colouring of this gloss is a nude. On my lips it looks very opaque.

When I apply this with this sponge applicator it feels smooth on my lips. I can smell the sweet caramel scent and try to stop myself from eating it lol. It doesn't last very long with eating and drinking and you will need to apply more on.

Overall its such a cute gloss. From the pakaging through to the scent. I'm not really a gloss person but I would definately use this one. I think at eight dollars its fairly priced, I think I've seen it being sold for more than this price online. So far I've gotten plenty of uses out if it. I'd happy buy it.

I really wish I loved these as much as everyone else does! I find them far to thick for everyday use & I'm yet to find a colour that looks good on me.

I have tried so many times to use the 3 that I have & I always end up wiping them off because I can't cope with the way these feel on my lips.

I also find that the coverage is never even, they settle into lines and look patchy after a few minutes. I'll stick with my NYX matte lip creams. They're incredible!

I'm not normally a lip gloss person, but these may convert me! I bought one from beauty joint.com recently to try out, because I have heard a lot of hype lately, and I think they deserve all that hype!

The gloss has a nice creamy texture and does not feel sticky on the lips. The colour is fairly pigmented and very natural looking - my lips but better. I love the sheen this gloss left on my lips, they looked very pretty.

The colour lasts a little while, and is easy enough to reapply without a mirror. I don't normally wear lipgloss to work because I like my lip products to last most of the day. I wore my Butter Gloss to work yesterday and didn't actually mind having to reapply it a couple times. It lasted a couple of hours or so without reapplication - and that's including me sipping on coffee the whole time.

As with every NYX product I have ever bought, I am very happy with this gloss and am going to be purchasing more.

I bought this in the colour 'Strawberry Parfait', and I do like the colour. It's a nice, somewhat bright pink colour. The gloss is basically just like most other lipglosses I have owned over the years. It looks lovely at first but disappears once you eat or drink. It is fairly cheap, and I'm pleased to see it's not tested on animals as I'm trying to move towards cruelty free products.

I bought about 7 of these, after reading rave reviews about them. I love the smell, and the colours are very pretty too, I use them on a daily basis on top of my lipstick to add a bit of shine. They aren't too sticky, and the range of colours is amazing, I find them a bit sheer without a pencil or a lipstick underneath, but all in all I love these glosses. They are such a reasonable price, its always amazing to me to find such good quality cosmetics for such a reasonable cost, it means you can buy them all!

Firstly I have to start by saying I usually hate lip glosses....but I believe NYX lip butter has converted me.

I first learnt about these products through you tube gurus and I have to say they really are amazing, the packaging is simple but effect and the applicator is soft and disposes just enough product.

The colours I currently have are Cherry Pie and Apple Strudel and they are both absolutely gorgeous. Cherry Pie I believe is the most vibrant Butter Gloss and is a beautiful cherry red colour. You can really experiment with intensity with this one. Apple Strudel is a pale peachy pink and looks great alone or over your favourite nude for a bit more shine.

In terms of how it feels on your lips I would say buttery and very moisturising . My lips do not feel sticky when I wear them and I also find them to be fairly long lasting.

Definitely going to invest in more.
