MAC Lipstick Review

I braved entering the fantastic new MAC counter in Riccarton Mall (Christchurch). I was a woman on a mission. I was after a lipstick - Not just any lipstick, something Fabulous for my wedding day! I had a rough idea of what shade I was after so I explained to the store person what I wanted. "An intense Pink that will last almost all day!" After 5 minutes I had fallen in love. My colour of choice.... Candy Yum Yum. It is a Matte almost highlighter hot pink, I practically had to wipe the drool from my mouth upon finding it in the store. I almost died when I was told the price, but I just couldn't walk out of the store without it. My wedding isn't until October but I have been wearing it regularly every chance I get. It's like velvet on my lips. No smelly odour just a light natural scent. Not waxy. It keeps my lips supple and moisturised at the same time making them POP and look fabulous. Success!!! And the comments I have had on this shade.... they speak for themselves..... "WOW, omg.... what brand is that?? I want it....." the list goes on. Never, Ever again will I buy any other branded lippy. And after our wedding is over (and our budgets not tight) I will be marching ... or skipping with joy...... back into that glorious MAC store to buy even more items! MAC has changed me, for the better. When I am wearing this lippy I have no fear of the dreaded lippy on the teeth or chapped looking lips under my lippy. Just confident and ready to take on the world. Fabulous.... Simply Fabulous xx

MAC lipsticks are my current obsession. No joke; I've purchased 20 in the past month. I know what you're thinking - holy crap that's a LOT. And it is. I know. Thank goodness for YouShop and American prices!

Anyway I LOVE MAC lipsticks. BUT I don't love all of them! My favourites are the Amplified Creams, Cremesheens, Amplifieds, Satins and Mattes.I don't like Lustres or Frosts as I find them old fashioned and unflattering on my skin.

MAC lipsticks are creamy and pigmented and they have a very light vanilla scent to them. There are so many colours to choose from so there's something for everyone. They're also cheap when you buy from MAC USA ($16 each) - even cheaper than the drugstore lippies over here!

My favourite shades are Blankety (holy grail nude lippy for pale skin)

Rebel - The perfect berry shade for all skin tones!

Faux and Twig - Muted deep pink shades - so flattering and universal

Impassioned - The most amazing neon pink for daring ladies!

All in all I love the majority of MAC lippies. If you can I would recommend heading to a MAC counter and having a play with them to find out which formulas and finishes you like, the girls at MAC are lovely and you can play to your hearts content!

Love the variety of colours MAC offers, the formula is amazing ! They are so easy to apply & the staying power is amazing ! Definitely repurchasing this lipstick. They are quite pricey but so worth it !

I just love my Mac lipsticks. Viva Glam II and brave are my faves with their satin finish. This finish is the best, so velvety and moisturising, I wear mine everyday. Love the colour range but always prefer satin textures and keep coming back to these two favourite colours!

These lipsticks are to die for!! I have three of these so far but i plan on purchasing a lot more in the near future! Personally, I like the cream sheen finishes the best, just because I find that they are more creamy and some of the other finishes can be slightly drying These lipsticks are a little bit pricey but I believe that they are defiantly worth the price if you find a good shade that you will get lots of use out of! xx

These are by far my favorite lipsticks of all time! The shade range is beyond amazing, there is a formula for everyone, and they are great quality…like most Mac products! My Favorite Formulas

Matte- Drying but last for ages on the lips..i'm talking around 4+ hours from personal experience. My favorite: Please Me- A super wearable pink for all skin tones.

Retro Matte- These are VERY drying, and tricky to apply, but the result is amazing and they stay on forever! Super opaque…like none other! My Favorite: Ruby Roo- A vibrant red, that I'm sure you have all heard about.

Satin- These are fairly matte but a lot less than the matte and retro matte range. This is one of the best in my opinion, as they last along time on the lips, without being to drying, and give a little bit of sheen. My Favorites: Myth- THE BEST NUDE EVER ( but very nude..be warned) Rebel- Looks great on so many people, and is by far the best deep purply, plumy color I have come across.

Amplified- These colors are super bold! Very opaque and fun, but I do not believe there are many shades in this range available. My favorite: Impassioned- A bright pink…more on the reddish side. The only vibrant pink that I love!

Amplified Creme- These are amazing! Smooth, pigmented, glossy! Don't last to long on the lips, but that is to be expected. My favorite: Vagas Volt- A great coral orange! If you like corals you will love this one!

Cremesheen- Everyone loves these... they will not fail you! Really pigmented, and glossy! Can not go wrong with these. My favorite: Creme d' nude- Really nice wearable nude, one of my everyday lip colors!

Honestly the best lipsticks I have tried! Slightly pricey but I don't mind treating myself every now and again! The shades are incredible, perfect for every occasion and skin tone, and its really handy that you can swatch them in store too! I own a lipstick called Neon Orange: it is a beautiful orangey/red (not actually neon). I find it does have a good staying power when on the lips, but you will have to touch up the odd time, especially after eating, drinking and talking too much (:

Can't go wrong with MAC! These lipsticks are just perfect. The packaging looks super high end and classy and just wonderful. Nothing looks as good as a lipstick holder full of MAC. and the wear, uuuh. Its hard to find matte lipsticks that dont crease or flake or dry your lips like crazy. But these are like putting cream on your lips, and its matte! and there is soooo many shades to choose.

The price, not so pretty :/

I love mac lipstik. The colour choices are absolutely amazing and the texture feels smooth. It always stays on for long periods of time without having to reapply all the time. i would use mac lipstick if i could every day if only they were cheaper :)

When my stepdad came back from Thailand he got he 2 mac lipsticks from Sephora. Ruby Woo and Saint Germain. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!! the colours are very pigmented and lasted very long with not much need to reapply. I would buy their whole collection if it was cheaper.
