There is a lot to love about these pencils. They are so convenient! Line and fill and you're good to go - no chance of mistake and perfect colour match!
In terms of size, the pencils are not as fat as a chubby stick, but they're also not as thin as a traditional pencil - I love the size as it works perfectly for both lining and filling - not too big and not too small.
The pencil goes on very smoothly, and feels fantastic. Not at all drying, it lasts for ages and the colour is very vibrant.
I find using these pencils to be so much easier than the traditional line and fill with lipstick - typically lip liners are too drying to get away with filling, but not with the Nars pencil.
I bought as a set - Cruella in the Matte, and a second colour Rikugien in the Satin. I actually prefer the Rikugien (for the colour, it's a more browish-red, whereas Cruella is very red) but both pencils are amazing, I would absolutely buy again.
I have two of these and yes they're both red. Different reds. I am in love with these. I will cry when they run out. These set the bar for matte lip products.
Dragon Girl is what I would call a poppy red. It's got blue undertones and a slight bent towards pink.
Cruella is a classic blue red but a little on the dark side.
As for staying power, these two have it in spades. Dragon Girl has survived a large takeaway mocha, sushi for lunch and yoghurt for a snack. Minimal touch up required. The same applies for Cruella. I get so many compliments when I wear either of these.
As an aside, the satin lip pencils are also just as good but don't have the same longevity. I have Rikugien and its my perfect MLBB shade.
Tips: Buy the NARS sharper as its the perfect size for these pencils (why can't all pencils be the same?!?!?)
