I own this in the shade 'ever red-dy'. The lip color comes in a simple transparent tube with a white lid. I loved the shade which is a classic red, and I found the shade really flattering. The lip color has a pleasant fruit scent. The product has a doe foot applicator, which wasn't really appropriate for this as I found it made the lip color apply very streakily. When I first apply this, it looks super pigmented and a stunning colour. I found this very messy too apply, and very wet and sticky. The stickiness meant that while this was drying, it would move around my lips and transfer and bleed, then dry streaky. This was really drying, and emphasized cracks in my lips, despite the use of lip balm and lip scrub. I found before the use of the balm, this would semi dry but stay sticky in some places. This bled, but also flaked off. This doesn't last an hour without the balm, but the product gets even worse when used with the balm. The balm comes in a grey-white tube. I found it odd to have a clear balm to apply on top, as obvously the balm gets covered in red product. The balm made this bleed more and tended to smear the product around, making it more streaky. The balm however did set this and make it last more than an hour. However, the balm made my lips feel even drier. This was very uncomfortable to wear, all day my lips felt horrendously dry, with the lip colour fading and flaking off. My lips resembled sandpaper, with red crumbs off product peeling off. This was made even worse whenever I had to eat, which required this to be fully removed, as you couldn't just reapply after eating due to the sandpaper like texture. Even without eating, this colour barely lasted two hours and definitely did not look good during this time. I loved the colour and would have loved for this to work, but it just did not. I am glad I got this cheap on clearance as I would not use again.
I was always skeptical about products like this one, as I didn't see how a gloss could make the colour last all day - but it truly works! This baby doesn't come off until I use oil to take it off at night! The lip colour goes on smoothly - much like a matt lip cream - but beware, just like those, it dries quickly! Once on and dry, the hydrating gloss goes over top. It creates a beautiful sheen and brings the moisture back to your lips. I would highly recommend this to anyone that can't get away to re-apply their lipstick during the day, or for a night out. The only reason why I don't use this more often is that I find the colour doesn't suit my skintone.
Tips: This will need some sort of oil or oil-based remover to get it off. Also, don't eat oily foods with it on!
i am not a massive lip stick fan because I don't like having to constantly re-apply lipstick, so when I saw this for $3 in a bargain bin I thought I would give it a go.
You get the two tubes in a pack; one is a thick tacky lip gloss type product that you apply to the lips and wait one minute for it to set. The other is a white balmy stick which put on top of the colour to add moisture and shine.
When I first put this on I was really impressed, it worked just as it said it would, and the colour did really seem to really last. It actually smells really good too!
On the box it says of the balm stick "During the day use it like a lip balm to refresh your look and feel". It doesn't state that this is a very important part of the 'all day colour'. If you forget to put in on every few hours your lips get very dry and the base colour goes flaky and starts to peel off. This for me was a bit of a deal breaker, because if I wanted to re-apply every few hours I could just use a regular lip stick.
Tips: So long as you keep applying the balm, this really works!
The balm/ gloss is nice and I have kept that but the colour liquid no its not good just cracked didn't matter how well preped my lips were just could not get this to work for me and were off really bad even with reapplying the balm in my opinion if you were to try something like this the one from loreal is fantastic. It's a no from me
