intense staying power

these are incredible!! application is key though for these. exfoliate, moisturise and apply properly and neatly. when this is done it will stay on my lips for hours with no touch ups what so ever. the colour range is to die for.

Tips: proper preperation and application is key

not for people with dry lips

i was interested to try the rimmel provocalips however upon trying i wasnt entirely impressed nor disspointed. in my opinion the product is simply meh. the stay power is good however the product seeps into fine lines on your lips and makes dry skin on lips stand out. this is not a very moisturising product at all and the colour range is poor.

OOOMMMMGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!

So I have so much to say already and I have literally only just got it in my hot lil hand today!! First impression: The colour is to die for and so my cuppa tea! It's cute and I love the fact that it had gloss at one end that I didn't even know about until I read the label properly. I was very skeptical about 'Kiss proof' promise because quite bluntly put no lippy I have ever tried or own have that power......enter Rimmel Provocalips - Kiss Me You Fool to prove me completely wrong and to put my skepticism at rest!

At first application I thought 'WHATEVER something this wet and gloss like can't possibly have stay power like it says'. It took about a minute to dry which felt like a bit too long and felt like yucky drying like glue on my lips but once I got past the initial drying period I had a shock horror moment when having a drink there was no lippy transfer!! I then rubbed my lips and NOTHING was on my hand and thre was no smudging. I made a video to prove it and posted it to some BR girls who are sold on what it promises! Honestly I have never seen anything like it, it's like magic! I wonder how easily it comes off though.....more research to be done so to be continued.....

10 days post use.......

It still blows my mind about how kiss proof and food and drink proof this liquid gold is! The staying power is so strong that it didn't come off with scrubbing with lip scrub, wiping, scratching and washing. It was like my lips were dyed red. Although good for lasting power, annoying for wanting to use other colours without scrubbing my lips with a wire brush almost to get the colour out. Still in love with though.

Tips: Allow to dry fully before testing the 'kiss proof' theory!

Best Red I've Ever Owned !

This was another lucky product I managed to get in the beauty vault. I was so excited to try this. I love bright lipsticks but I love the feeling of lip gloss on my lip ( I really dislike the dry lip feeling). This seemed to be the perfect product. I made sure before applying this I primed my lips well as sometimes the long lasting colours can be a bit drying so I exfoliated and primed my lips. I was a little bit nervous to apply as its such an intense red. The wand is quite small so it wasnt too tricky to make sure you got the colour inside your lip lines. Took a little bit of patience to get the colour on right but it was well worth it. You had to wait until the colour dried properly without touching it and then applied the second step which is a clear gloss designed to set and lock in shine. I tested this out on a night out and I am so pleased I did. The colour was highly pigmented so one coat for me was definately enough a very vibrant red but I loved it. I made it through a night of drinking, eating and catching up with friends and it never budged at all !!. I was sure there would be some wear and tear (some fading in the middle or something) but nothing when I got home it looked just as good as when I applied it. I even had one of my friends ask how my lipstick hadnt moved all night !. There was no rub off left on my drinking glass and no smudges. This was a little trickier to remove then a normal lipstick or gloss but Im happy with that compromise for the staying power. I will be buying more of these wonderful lipsticks for sure !.

Tips: Make sure you prime your lips and let the first coat dry 100% before applying the lock and shine.

Kiss me x1000

Since joining Beauty Review I have taken so many makeup risks, I have tried lip colors that I normally wouldn't try as I am normally a nude lipstick kind of girl, and this would be one of those makeup risks.

I had purchased this one plus Dare to be pink (dusty pink shade) from the recent Beauty review vault and I was beyond nervous to try this shade. It took me 2 weeks to build up my courage to just try this shade. I had swatched it many times but getting it to my lips was a different story. The red is the brightest and boldest red I have ever seen, the color on the outside doesn't match up to the color on the inside.

One day I was feeling daring so I pulled this lipstick out, applying this to my lips felt like glossy butter. The formula was thicker than Dare to be pink and alot easier to control because of the consistency. The applicator made it easy to line the outside of your lips and fill them in easy, I couldn't believe how pain free it was to apply this, what was I being so nervous about! The pigmentation is crazy! So opaque and bold, the boldest colour I had ever used. I applied the top coat once the first coat had set and I was ready to take a step back from the mirror and see. I was so happy and impressed with the color, I fell in love with this lipstick the first day I tried it on.

It didn't move when I kissed my babies on numerous occasions and I even forgot I was wearing lipstick unless I caught myself in the mirror. Drinking from straws and eating was easy, there was no trace of color what so ever.

Thinking back I cant believe how I made myself so nervous over a color I had never tried, and now its my most favorite lipstick I have to date!

Tips: If you make a mistake with your lips be sure to clean up the edges as fast as you can as it stains your lips quickly.

Kiss me you fool

I was lucky enough to receive this from the last beauty vault.

Firstly, I think the packaging is super cute and skinny. I love how it has kisses all over the sealant side. This shade is very true to the tube and is definitely a 'true red'. I personally tend to wear red lipstick during the night time as I think it is too harsh for me for the daytime.

The formula of this lip stain is very different to the other shade I got which was 'dare to pink'. This one is more opaque, thicker which makes it a lot easier to distribute the right amount of product on your lips. The applicator is the perfect size to fill in your lips without much hassle. I found that this shade lasts me all night when I wear it and doesn't look bad if it does start wearing off due to it having heavy staining power.

Tips: I would recommend using a lip liner to line your lips as it will make it easier for a flawless application. Also, beware this dries quite fast.

stays on your lips!

I bought this after watching some swatches on youtube and so I went out and purchased it. it's double sided, one side is the color and the other is a clear gloss! The packaging is really cute, it has kiss marks all over it and it's easy to store away :) the formula of the actual colour is very smooth at the start and then as it dries it get gets really matte and you can feel the product on your lips. I personally like the matte look so I don't use the clear gloss but either way the lip stick stays on your lips all day but when your eating it does come off and I feel like I need to take the whole thing off and then reapply, I feel if I put more on top of what's already their after eating just makes it really thick and starts to flake..

Tips: Use a lip balm underneath to so it doesn't feel tooooo dry :)

Good and Bad

Good: The consistency of this product is beautiful to apply, it is a little runny but makes applying it very easy. The colour is bold and opaque, no need to re apply to get a deeper colour. The lipstick doesn't budge (I kissed my hand like a thousand times throughout the day).

Bad: When applying you have to be very accurate because it is very hard to remove when you have made a mistake. After a few hours I noticed the lipstick starting flaking in the center of my lips (most contact with food, liquid, saliva). I could always 'feel' the product on my lips and was always conscious of it. Product is very hard to remove, I ended up using coconut oil, but I still had little bits left on my lips afterwards.

I would definitely use again but perhaps use a lighter colour where flaking in the center isn't as obvious.

Disappointing formula

When I first got this lip product, I was very excited because of the acclaimed long-lasting formula. I have this in one shade darker, but I find my experiences fit for all of the colours, since I have also tried lighter shades. I have tried it several times, with or without exfoliating my lips before and on days with or without events/training, and I experienced the same: When applying, it was very slippery and hard to apply. Definitely needs a lip liner. When drying it stuck to my lips in an uncomfortable way and it felt very heavy. The gloss to put on top had a very sweet smell and was thick and clingy. When wearing it, I constantly felt it on my lips and after 2 hours it started flaking and falling off in to my mouth and transferred in little flakes to my clothes and glass of water. The only reason I wear this, is because I love the colour. Once i buy a new lipstick in this colour, I will not wear this again.

Please note that this is only my experience with two of these lip products. I could have gotten extremely unlucky and had two faulted products, yet I think not.

Tips: Exfoliate before applying and wear lip liner.

By far the best long wear lipstick formula EVER.

I was gifted this red one by a friend, I wore it that night, and the next day I ran out to buy the hot pink from the same line and now I want all the other colours. This has got to be the best formula of long wear lipstick I've ever used. At first when I put on the coloured end and let it dry, I thought, oh no, this is going to be uncomfortable and flake off. But to my surprise, it not only was very comfortable and didn't flake off, but it stayed absolutely PERFECT and even stayed glossy for a very long time as well. I can eat, drink, talk, even kiss through wearing this and it doesn't budge. I was so shocked at how perfect it stayed and how comfortable it was. As a test, one night I took all my makeup off except the lipstick, just to see how it would last overnight. Woke up - PERFECT. haha. I did find it a little hard to remove with a makeup wipe, or even micellar water, I've found you need an oil based remover to get rid of it, that's not really a con, since I already have oil based removers but just something to keep in mind. I hope they bring out more colours!!!

Tips: Use an oil based remover.
