Max Factor Elixir Lipstick

This is a lovely hydrating lipstick that is highly pigmented. It applies nicely and gives my lips a wonderful plumped appearance. The formula is beautifully creamy which makes the lipstick glide on effortlessly. It has a nice soft fragrance and I find it does not dry my lips out, my lips stay soft and well moisturized through out the day. The lasting power is pretty good although I do need to reapply after eating. I received this lipstick in March's beauty box and I am so glad I did as I will definitely be purchasing more shades in the future.

The packaging is very beautiful and this lipstick does not settle in the lines in my lips which is wonderful.

Raisin lipstick

I got the colour "raisin" in my March BRBB.

The packaging of this lipstick is more on the elegant side. When all together it is a long square tube, the lid is gold and this is most if the length, the remainder is clear plastic that has the colour of the lipstick on it and in it. Handy if you have several of these you can just look at the end without opening it up. This is a gorgeous lipstick. It is highly moisturising on the lips even a while later if you press your lips together you can still feel the moisturising of the lipstick. It goes on really smoothly on my lips. The colour raison has a slight metallic to it, just enough to stop it being a matte lipstick and is a dusty rose crossed with a cranberry is the best way I can describe the colour. The colour lingers on the lips once the moisturising part has finished so eating while not the kiss of death for the colour you will still need to reapply. There is a slight smell to it, nice but a little undefinable.

I do see myself purchasing another one or two of these.

Now I'm Addicted

I got the shade English Rose in my BRBB for March and I fell in love with it the instant I swatched it. It's sooo creamy, doesn't stick to dry patches on the skin, is exactly the type of shade the name suggests (a rosy pink) and the staying power is pretty decent. In the tube it looks like it's going to be pretty metallic and frosty, but it's just got a beautiful shine to it on the lips. It's got a lovely, sweet, vanilla fragrance to it but it doesn't taste of anything. There is some subtle shimmer in them but you can't feel it on the lips and the individual "glitters" don't stand out or anything like that.

The packaging is beautiful and gold with the Max Factor logo on the side, then a little clear part at the bottom that shows the shade of the lipstick inside. It also has the shade name at the bottom in gold writing which I really appreciate because I hate it when it's written on the packaging that I end up ripping off and throwing in the bin. Overall I think it looks like a high end lipstick.

I loved mine so much that I got 2 more shades and will be buying even more in the future. I have Flushed Fuchsia, which despite the name is actually a really pretty pinky nude shade. It's a little more sheer than the other 2, but easily buildable. I also have Pretty Flamingo which is a cooler toned "Barbie" pink and is actually a little bit more frosty than the other 2. I love it anyway. I paid half price for the 2 that I bought but I would definitely pay full price for them.

Tips: Max Factor is often on sale, so try to hunt for a sale if you haven't tried these before and aren't sure of them.

Lovely colour - RAISIN - that lasts

I received this lipstick in the March Beauty Box and was really pleased as I had never tried a Max Factor lipstick before. I would normally not purchase a lipstick that is promoted as 'intensely moisturising' as I find many brands to be greasy, with no staying power and taste terrible. However, this lipstick is none of these things. From the start I was impressed with the classy packaging, the colour 'view window' at the bottom of the case and the size of the lipstick. The 'X'embedded in the lipstick itself is a great touch. The lipstick is moisturising without feeling greasy and the colour, - RAISIN - once applied, is even more gorgeous than it looked in the tube. It gave great coverage with one stroke and lasted well, and even after eating there was still some colour. And there is no nasty, chemical taste. I still slightly prefer longer lasting lippy but will definitely add this to my shortlist of favourites. Can wait to try more colours.

Tips: great moisturising winter lipstick

Nah, nope, no, definitly Not

This was a product i was lucky enough to get in the beauty box. Yay. I was pretty excited because I love lip products, and had never tried anything from max factor so was looking forward to this lipstick.

The packaging is really pretty. This come in a rectangle shape which has a beautiful gold finish. The top pops off to reveal a beautiful pink lipstick which has a sheen to it, and a shimmery quality, which drew my in straight away. Plus the lipstick (the actual product) was adorned with a imprinted x for max factor which i thought was a really nice touch.

This lipstick applies so smoothly. Like it actually feels good when it goes onto your lips, and feels hydrating. Awesome. And that's where the positives end because unfortunately for me, this colour (angel pink) just looks terrible on me.

The colour is like pink that just does not work on dark skin tones, or at least my skin tone. It washes me out, and its just a bad story. I would not use this lipstick again, but would consider trying another colour from this range because the colour is where it went wrong, not the formula. Although i cannot comment on how long lasting the formula is, because i couldnt bare to leave this on my lips for long enough to test it, but i will edit my review when and if i try other colours.

Max Factor Elixir Lipstick

I was lucky enough to get Max Factor Elixir Lipstick in my Beauty Box.The colour was Sunbronze 837.

The packaging is really flash in gold and makes you feel you have a quality product even before you open it.. Max Factor Elixir Lipstick comes in a lovely gold tube. You can see the shade of colour at the base which is great when you are in a hurry. The lid comes off easily and when you put the lid back you can feel it grab.

Sunbronze is a lovely, medium shade of frosted brown/bronze. and is true to colour when you use it. The Lipstick applies smoothly and has a slight shimmer. It is a really moist lipstick which is lovely for me as I have dry lips and feels lovely a creamy with out feeling thick and heavy. I usually have trouble with lipstick staying but this one seems to stay on a lot longer so you don't have to keep on touching up all day. The colour is really nice as usually I wear reds and picks but this looks really nice when I wear Brown.

Tips: The usual price is $25 which I feel is reasonable for a quality product however often Farmers have specials on cosmetics so would be a good time to buy.

Love it!

I had a few of theses before we got one in the beauty box but I have always loved the thick creamy formula and the colours show up true to what the are and last a long time.

Tips: Lip liner is a good idea for the brighter colours

Love it

I just love this lipstick, the packaging is really elegant, and love how on the bottom you can see the shade of the lipstick. Its soft, creamy and glides on easily. Its also very moisturizing on my lips. It lasts ages on my lips, but once it does wear off it still looks like I'm wearing a lip stain which I like. Really excited to try other colours.

What you see is what you get

I was lucky enough to try Max Factor Elixir Lipstick in Angel Pink 610.

I love the classy packaging. Max Factor Elixir Lipstick comes in a sturdy, elegant gold tube. I like you can see the shade of colour at the base.

The lid is easy to open and the lipstick is embossed with the Max Factor Trademark "X". Max Factor Elixir Lipstick Angel Pink is a lovely, delicate shade of frosted pink. What you see in the tube is what you get on your lips.

Max Factor Elixir Lipstick applies smoothly and has a slight shimmer. The lipstick feels light on my lips and is not drying. In fact if my lips are on the dry side before applying Max Factor Elixir Lipstick, luckily it isn't attracted like a magnet to the dry bits.

I do need to reapply often as I am terrible at licking my lips and I drink a lot of water etc throughout the day.

I am very keen to try Max Factor Elixir Lipstick in other shades.
