Favourite concealer!!

This concealer is just awesome, I have the colour 'natural' and it perfectly covers my dark under eyes. Has great coverage and is a really nice consistency. I find it doesn't crease much at all and is really long-wearing. The only dislike is the packaging is kinda annoying how you have to squeeze it out onto the little brush, however you definitely cannot find any better for the price!!!

My fave product for highlight/contour

I got this in medium bisque and warm sand for high light and I got beautiful bronze for contouring. The first two I bought from beautyjoint for $1.99 and the bronze I bought from a dollar store for $5.

These were my first highlighting concealers which I bought 3 years ago and I still use them. Comes in a tube with a brush on the top. Goes on creamy. I find that it blends out more easily if the product is still wet. I use a damp beauty blender because its brush doesnt do much for me. I only use the brush to curve out lines for contouring. Than I just set it with my highlight and contour powder and Im good to go.

Its a bit thick and creamy but you really wont notice after blending it out. And it has great coverage. Wish I could have the whole set. Have ordered the orange one as well. Looking forward to using it when it arrives!

Tips: The product separates after awhile if you dont use it frequently. But just squeeze and roll the tube between your hands to warm and mix it up and its all good. Just remember to put the cap on before you do this!

Great formula

I have the green concealer which is used to take away redness. The formula works perfectly. It is the first thing I apply after primer and it takes away most of my redness that still shows through after applying my base.

It blends really well and you only need a small amount of product to cover all areas (I do most of my face really).

The only thing I really don't like is the applicator. You squeeze the tube and the formula comes out of a small brush type applicator. Doing this straight onto the face is really hard - you don't know how much is coming out and then suddenly it comes out in a huge blob. This is easy enough to fix though, I just squeeze it onto my fingers so I can see exactly how much I'm getting and then put where I want it and blend it out with a sponge. Because of the great price this probably wouldn't stop me from buying it again.

Tips: Squeeze onto your finger/hand first and apply from there!

wow for so cheap!

I got this in Yellow to cover my under eye bags.

I'm impressed! I'd read so many fantastic reviews on this & for such a cheap concealer it really is very good!

The yellow is to counter act purple & it certainly does. This completely covers the darkness & actually works quite well on red too!

It's a fairly thick formula so it requires a fair amount of blending out & you don't need a lot of product. I have found when I've been heavy handed with it, it does crease up quickly & kind of globs into the inner corners of my eyes.

It's water resistant, it has stayed after some cries.

I don't like the built in brush applicator though, it's hard to gauge how much you are squeezing out, and as the product is so thick you do have to squeeze quite hard. This would be so much better if it was just a normal nozzle.

I'm off to get some more colours this weekend!

Cheap

Love love love , for the price. Its a good product for so little money. however i do feel that you have to set it with a powder or it might crease unless its just me.

Almond

I have the shade Almond which I bought from Makeup NZ for $12.00. I initially bought it to brighten and highlight the undereye area but unfortunately online swatches aren't always the best indication of what you'll receive. Almond turned out to be the same colour as my skin (reference: MAC NC42-44) but I wasn't disappointed at all because I've now found a more affordable concealer that performs exceptionally well.

It comes in a small plastic squeeze tube with a brush tip - nothing fancy just simple and compact. I've been using the product for more than 3 months over blemishes on my face. Using the brush tip can be unsanitary but I prevent this by putting the product on the back of my hand and then going in with a clean finger or brush and applying it to my face.

I was extremely surprised to find that I only needed a very tiny bit of product to dab in the areas required - for a good month I kept using too much (but to my eyes it's generally a very small amount!). It has a semi-thick consistency that's easy to blend out while still wet. The concealer can be full coverage if you build up the layers before the previous layer dries. I have no need to build it up because Almond is so similar to my skin tone I can make do with just the one layer.

What I love most about this concealer is that it doesn't move or slip after a couple of hours of wear. I have oily skin and I do find that a lot of concealers I've used in the past start out very promising but within 2-3 hours the concealer starts to break away. I don't have this issue with this product, in addition to that it looks very natural on my skin. I would happily recommend to those looking for affordability and quality.

I do believe that I'll be saying goodbye to the more pricey concealers I own and exploring more of the other shades from this brand. When you weigh up the prices of high-end concealers $30-$60 compared to $12 concealers that performs just as well if not better it's pretty clear who will come out victorious.

Tips: If using the product to conceal - keep the brush tip sanitary by applying the product to the back of your hand or palette and then apply to your face using clean finger or brush.

LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer

I LOVE this concealer. I use it for my under eyes, it does a great job of hiding my dark circles. As long as I set it with powder I find that it does not crease and lasts a long time. I have multiple shades, I use natural and creamy beige as under eye and highlighting shades and toast as a contour shade. I also have the correcting shades, orange, green and yellow. the green is great for correcting redness around my nose, yellow for brightening under my eyes, and the orange corrects any dark circles. I only use the correctors for special occasions. They are very creamy and easy to blend out. I don't like the applicator as I think it is unsanitary, so I have removed the brush tip and I just decant the product onto a mixing palette and dip my brush into it from there. I would definitely recommend, it is a great product at a great price.

Tips: Can be used for multiple things, such as: an eyeshadow base (set with powder before going in with shadows), use it to clean up under the brows and define them a bit more, liquid highlight and contour, great for cleaning up and sharpening the lips. Spot concealing, obviously, concealing the under eye area.

Good value

I use classic ivory which on my skin appears quite peachy and bright. I use it to cover up under-eye darkness. It does the job well enough. Not difficult to blend. Good value for the price. The applicator distributes a lot quickly so I need to be gentle with it. Sometimes I accidentally add way too much concealer because of the applicator. I only need to use a little bit so it's really lasting me a while. I'll most likely repurchase when I run out.

Like... but not my holy grail

I don't mind this product. I love the wide range of colours they have, the fact that they have great coverage but are still breathable, and that they are really bendable.

My only thing is that I've found other products that are just as good and are less expensive (that is, given the price to product ratio) than the $11-$16 price tag (I've never been able to get it for less than $11).

Would I buy this product again? ... Yes if it is on sale.

Would I recommend it to others? ... Ultimately I would because it is still a great product and has a range of colours that would suit HEAPS of people.

So many shades, so versatile

I never used to wear concealer partly because I'm lazy and also because there was a lack of shade selection. Finally when I saw this, I knew I had to try it. I have never seen such a wide colour selection for concealers. There is a lot to like about this concealer. The price is definitely a plus. Of course the brush is not ideal, but there are ways around it (transferring it into a pot). I find that I don't need to use too much for my undereye area. I do however use the orange concealer as well (which I love). I also have a darker shade for cream contouring. The only issue is creasing under my eyes, but with a little setting powder that can be remedied.
