Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Review

I hate to have to make a negative review but I think it's important to be honest. I have tried using this in every way possible. Hands, beauty blender, stippling brush, foundation brush but NOTHING works for me. I've tried using primer before hand, or just moisturizer or nothing but it still doesn't help. The fragrance is sickening, it's very strong and I'm not particularly fond of foundations that have scent. The formula is nice and creamy and it applies well but on me it's very oily and looks 'wet'. The lasting time is average, it wears off very quickly but lasts a little longer with powder on top. I can't use blush or contour when I wear this because it slips off and starts caking up and flakes off. My skin is normal/combination and I have never had a problem like this with other BB creams or foundations. It looks very dirty on me, it seems to build up and flake very easily. I really did try to make this product work however I couldn't. One positive thing I could say is that the coverage is very impressive (medium). But that's it. Big thumbs down from me!

Having already tried a few BB creams and not finding one I like, I was excited to try this from Garnier since it already has good reviews. I liked it but have found it too oily for me, I dont know whether putting powder on top would help but by the time I apply, then powder I might as well just use foundation as I find this dosent give an even coverage unless I apply perfectly to my face with a sponge. I would however use this on a holiday or at the beach etc but not for daily usage.

This BB cream is good for the price bracket and performs very similar to another one I have used which is double the cost. It does what is says by providing a tint and improving skin tone, dark circles etc. I would call the coverage sheer to mid and I would not say it makes you flawless though, that may be going to far. This is a good product though kind of a tinted moisturiser with a bit extra. I would buy it again because of the price and would recommend it to a friend for the same reason. It is good for a busy Mum like me who often doesn't have time for full foundation. The consistency is thick but not too thick and easy to apply. I feel like the product lasted for most of the day.

After using this BB Cream for a week now I would highly recommend it, I found it so easy to use! I didn't even need to moisture before applying as it went on so smooth and evenly, I still had to use a concealer as it didn't cover all imperfections but it definatly does what it states and gave me healthy glowing skin, ill definitely continue to use and buy this fab product its the best BB cream i've tried and I love how it leaves your skin feeling as though your not wearing makeup!

I received the "normal skin" BB cream to try. The majority of my skin is normal, however I am quite dry in the corners of my nose, and my chin is prone to pimples so in certain areas "normal" doesn't really apply.

The BB cream is very think, but thins out when you put it on which I liked, however once on my skin it felt very greasy. This disappeared after a little bit. The first time I tried it I had moisturised before hand (forgetting I had the BB cream to use!) so the greasiness stuck around a bit. It is easy to apply - I just used my fingers to blend like I would my normal moisturiser. There is a slight smell to it which wasn't completely off putting but luckily you can't smell it once you've blended it in - otherwise I wouldn't want to smell that all day. I felt that this didn't give me much coverage like my normal foundation would, I still needed to use concealer and I most definately needed my powder - infact I think I used more powder than I usually do. The BB cream did seem to make my powder last longer, however I know finishing sprays can do that too so I would rather use one of those instead of more powder. I found the BB cream made my dry nose spots very oily - and my T-zone was oily all day. Maybe I need the oily skin one? The packaging is ok but I didn't see any improvement in "signs of fatigue, dullness, imperfections and blemishes" like it says on the pack (it even says immediately but I never thought that). Overall this isn't for me as it doesn't provide enough foundation-like coverage and it left my face feeling greasy.

This is an interesting product, I was excited as I have only ever tried one BB cream before by Bourjois and it was fantastic if a little too dark. But I was surprised at the difference between the Bourjois product and the Garnier BB cream.

The Garnier product does smell fantastic, if slightly too perfume-ey. I often have the pretense (false or otherwise) that perfumed products contain ingredients that may not be fantastic for my skin. But it wasn't unpleasant. I do think that the coverage is nice, but the solution I find is really thick in comparison with the Bourjois product. I am not sure what that means in terms of unnecessary products I am putting on my skin but I tend to steer clear of 'thick' solutions as they can lead to an oily consistency if you put on slightly too much. This was easily fixed by applying with a sponge but in my mind I want to use a BB cream if I am in a rush as it is a multiple use in one product and if it doesn't feel nice when applying a small amount with my fingers then I am not completely sold.

I used the medium colour and found it ideal for a semi pale to slightly tanned skin tone (would hate to think how pale the light version is)...Applying a little more ensures that you achieve a more tanned look if that's what you're going for. All in all, it does look nice - I am happy with the final result. But for the price I would probably revert back to using a decent moisturizer with a little bit of liquid foundation squirted in as long term this seems much more feasible and applied nicer - and will feel like a less heavy liquid.

I have been using this for the past 4 days (since i received it) it has quite a thick consistency but applies nice and smooth, it doesnt feel caked on when i use it and easily washes off at the end of the day. I found it good for everyday use as it gives you a slight coverage without looking like you have any make-up on at all. In saying that though i do have a lot of freckles which i do like to cover up, especially when i go out, even with an extra layer on it still didnt give me the coverage that i prefer, so would still rather use a foundation. Over all i found it to be really good for everyday wear, the medium shade suited my skin perfectly, and the packaging is nice and easy to take on the go. Another tick from me for Garnier!

I’ve been a long time user of BB Cream so I was keen for an opportunity to try something outside my usual brand of choice. RRP on this product $17.49 which is around same price I usually pay. Packaging is fairly plain and to be honest reminds me of fake tan packaging. I also compared to the Garnier Anti ageing BB Cream and have to say I much preferred the cream for Normal skin. The consistency was creamy compared to the anti ageing cream. This surprised me as I thought it may be the reverse. The colour was fine and I also got away with wearing it like a tinted moisturiser. I used around a small pea size dollop and applied with fingertips. I thought the coverage on this one was a little better too. Stayed on all day even after exercise. Again I didn’t notice any significant difference or improvement in my skin. I am not sure how long I would need to use this to see the result of the claim on the pack - “Miracle Skin Perfector” I do prefer my usual BB cream of choice but I thought this was ok.

One of the better BB creams I've used! I didn't even wear foundation I thought my skin was looking great with just this as a base. Not too oily or fragrant it lasted well, applied well and a little went a long well. I think it's great value for money. I'd definitely recommend to a friend and I think I'll add it to my own shopping list too
