Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner Review

I bought this solely because I had not yet found a pencil eyeliner that would apply nicely to my tightline.

I don't use the brush it comes with, rather I apply it with the angled brush from the Real Techniques starter set as I find the shape of the brush is better for getting in to the inner corner.

The formula is very creamy and pigmented. It's properly black, not a dark grey colour like some other Maybelline eyeliners are.

Once on it lasts all day (though it does smudge initially into my waterline) and gives great definition. I have not tried it on my upper lash line, largely because I am not feeling eyeliner on the lash line lately.

I use it every day and cannot see it running out or drying up any time soon! Love this stuff.

I am so happy that I got this product because I have always struggled with applying liquid eyeliner and this gel liner is so much easier to apply yet it gives the same bold liner look that is achieved with liquid eyeliner. It still takes me a little bit of time to apply as I am still getting use to lining my upper lash line therefore I cannot wear this on a daily basis and need to set aside time in my routine to add this eyeliner.

The brush that it comes with is great to apply this gel liner with. I have also tried using my own brush that I already had and that works well too. It really depends on what is easiest for you to apply with. When I run out I will definitely be repurchasing this product as it has not failed me yet.

i have both this gel eyeliner and the Mac fluid liner in black track and I find they're formulation and application very similar, only difference would be price in my opinion! Love the maybelline one for a thick wing liner and it can also be used as a brow gel if you have dark eyebrows like mine ;)

This eyeliner has got to be the best eyeliner I've ever used!!!! It stays on all day, and the colour doesn't fade! I've always been 100% satisfied with this product every time I wear it out. I would definitely suggest anyone who loves their eyes looking bold and flawless all day to buy this :)

I couldn't have enough good things to say about this product. I have had this for so long (would rather not say, should have chucked it probably) and it still has not dried out! I find this is one of the only gel eyeliners that have managed to stay reasonably black all day and does not tend to dry up and crumple off. I did find the formulation quite thick and found the type of brush i used was important but i did like that about this product... AMAZING :)

I purchased this after my holy grail gel liner stopped doing it for me. I am totally in love with this liner and I even love the brush it comes with. It goes on smooth and creamy, dries fairly fast and is rich and black(I have the black obviously!). It also survived a whole night of me drinking(which can leave some eyeliners messy) and even a night of sleep(a big no no I know but showed the staying power) as it was still perfectly in place the next morning. So rich, intense and long wearing. Will be re purchasing!

This is the first gel liner I have ever used and I absolutely love it! Unfortunately my eye sight is rubbish so applying eyeliner has always been an absolute struggle for me but this!!!! Wow, the applicator it comes with is fantastic and the product itself is creamy and awesomely pigmented. Applying this is a breeze, and I have personally found that the staying power is perfect. No transferring or smudging, just sits nicely where I apply it and lasts right up until I wash my face in the even. I would definitely recommend this for beginners!

This is a super affordable gel eyeliner that has a lovely thick consistency that lasts all day with a nice finish. It comes with its very own brush that makes it super easy to apply and its small enough to carry with you.

Yay for gel liners that make your life easier! I am a fan of this product due to how easy it makes winged lines! The product is super creamy and easy to apply, and I was stoked when I found this. The only downside I have to this product is the lasting power. As soon as I go to curl my lashes, half of my wing is removed just from it being touched. I'm not sure if it's just me this happens too, but liner doesn't seem to stay well on my skin. Overall, I really like this liner, and it's a great value also.
