Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner Review

Have these in both black & Brown. I find this long wearing, and easy to apply. I use an angled brush and use it to create a winged affect. I usually set it with a matte black shadow to make it smudge proof but this one is pretty long wearing all on its own. Great colour payoff and the black is super intense.

I've sworn by the black one since it first came out. I always use an angled brush to get nice and close to the lashline and get a great winged affect. I have found that the product does tend to dry out in the pot. But it lasts all day on the eyes and doesn't smudge.

After reading what everyone else wrote I think I got a bung one... My gel eyeliner dried out superfast, to the point where it wouldn't apply evenly... and in the end, I binned it!!!!

I wear a cat eye almost every day. I've had this little pot for months and it barely looks like i've even made a dent, nor is it drying up at all. I get a super smooth, opaque black line every time. Incredible, affordable product.

This product works really well and has good staying power. I much prefer it over pens and pencils. It is easy to build different thicknesses and works well with false eye lashes.

The brush was ok to start with as it was my first eyeliner attempt but as I watched a few more tutorials and practiced a bit more, I ended up buying a thing angled paint brush instead.

The gel is a nice consistency, could be a tad softer. One coat is a dark charcoal but adding more layers makes it black. Stays all day..unless you forget your wearing it and rub you eye...which is easy to do as it feels like skin once set.

I bought this because I was curious on what difference would it make. It actually lots lots better than the pencils because it doesn't smudge easily. It last longer and you don't have to sharpened it to get a good result as you do with pencils.

I wear gel liner most days. These were the first gel eyeliner I ever used. They are very smooth and easy to apply and get a clean line with a bit of practise. The brush that comes with this product is awesome! And the only thing I use for my gel eye liners. But I find after a few hours this eye liner does tend to slip a little on my skin and it bleeds along creases and doesnt stay where I put it. So I use the black if I want to blend and make a smudgy black eye. I now use the bobbi brown gel liners if i want a clean defined cat eye. It is more expensive but super staying power. It is a thicker product and slightly harder to apply and dries alot faster than the maybelline so not as easy to blend out or smudge. I use the brown gel with a brow brush as a brow filler. Works great! So I will continue to buy the brown for my brows. And the black to blend out for a less defined look. But if the bobbi brown gel isnt in your budget. These are the next best thing.

After using MAC Gel eye liner, shiseido creamy eye liner, I thought giving the maybelline a go since it was cheap and was easy availability (Countdown). It's really easy to apply, soft and creamy in it's texture. I have got blackest black and the brown one. I often found myself using the brown more to make my eye colour stand out. I loved it! Then 2 months later, I opened this pot and found it dried out on me. I guess it was time to say RIP. How long does the eye gel last any way?

I use this alot, the texture is very creamy, alot easier to apply than liquid liner which is what i love about it. The down fall is the color fades, another great thing is it does last you a long time, ive had my 2nd gel liner jar for a year and i have heaps left. The brush is pretty average. I need to set my gel liner with black eyeshadow to make it stay put or it creases onto my eyelids. But overall good/great product
