Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner Review

I do like this gel liner, it is nice and dark and goes on easily. I find that it also lasts all day/night however this is when I use a good eye primer/Mac paint pot underneath. I found that it did smudge slightly on the top of my eyelid, however I do have quite hooded lids. I don't particularly like the brush that it comes with, that is the only thing I could say that they do need to improve on.

I bought this product shortly after my mac gel liner ran out, and I was not disappointed, it goes on a breeze and the little brush is shaped to get the perfect flick, It does take a little longer than liquid liner to dry, but lasts so much longer. Defiantly a big fan!

I heard such amazing stuff about this product so i decided i would give it a go. Having never used gel eyeliner before I was sooo intimidated however, its been so easy to use. I love how it comes with a brush , and yes, it might not be the best brush but I havn't had any trouble using it. The colour (I got blackest black) is exactly that. I normally struggle with eyeliner transferring after a few hours and smudging and all that. I find this isnt 100% smudge proof however I don't find it transfers unless I touch it. It is really reasonably prices and will last you aaaaages. I find this is perfect for winged liner beginners, like myself,as its easy to clean up and perfect your liner with some concealer. I love this liner as it is perfect for a strong bold wing liner or a smudged out one.It can be pretty much used for anything.

Awfully fiddly and it's a lot harder to get a thinner line than what you would with something like liquid eyeliner. Gel liner looks so awesome and lasts (provided you let it set). If you don't, it goes everywhere and is such a hassle. Blackest Black doesn't exactly come across as heavily black soo.. Hmm.

I got given one of these from an aunty of mine for Christmas. I think this stuff is so good! It lasted me for so long and I'd wear it everyday. Although, on the summer the gel eyeliner would melt on my eyes and smuge which put me off this so I started using liquid eyeliner. This stuff is super good just not so good when its super hot or if you sweat a lot :p

I've been using liquid liner since the 90s, so I was intrigued when I saw this product. I haven't used any other gel liners, but compared to liquid liners this is amazing! My biggest problem with liquid liners is I tend to get the eyeliner on my eyelashes, which then tends to cause a bit of a mess.. this short brush, and firmer product gets around that problem. I can get the eyeliner exactly where I want it, with relatively effortlessly and it doesn't sting my water line.

Any kind of look or effect can be created, its so versatile. For a more subtle look, I use a pencil eyeliner on the bottom line.

I can even do my upper waterline, just underneath my lashes!!

I had seen heaps of Youtubers using this, so I gave it a go.

I seriously shouldn't have brought into the hype.

Packaging is nice, it's like most other gel liners, no off putting scent or anything.

Dependant on how you're using it can depend on the results.

For an all over eyelid base for other eye shadows it's good, but for tight lining or just lash lining. I didn't think it was all that great. I found it very tacky and hard to work with.

Overall I'm not a fan and wouldn't get it again.

But I think that's just because Gel is not for me.

Great stuff !! Not just me, but my best friend and I use this daily. It's easy to apply and the brush is decent. Especially great for nights out drinking, we're you don't have to keep re applying every time you go to the bathroom. I'd does however put an eyeliner print on my eyelid but I just wipe it off.

So I got the grey colour as I thought it was something different but it is really faded and I don't like it at all!! Although it was super easy to apply and the brush it came was is really decent. One thing I noticed is that afer a couple of hours the colour would always go up onto my eye lid. It didn't sting my eyes or anything. But having that smudge does not look the best. I think it is because my eyelids are quite oily and I wasn't using any primer. I really don't know what the fuss is about. Maybe gel liners aren't for me

wouldn't use any other gel liner! Black, Black, pure Black! makes my eye shape larger and such a smooth dense gel! i dont use the small brush but I've used it time to time for lipstick x
