Maybelline Define-a-lash Mascara Review

I use this mascara when I want my lashes to be darker and slightly defined. This mascara is ok for the day time but for the price you could get a better mascara that defines, adds volume, and length for the same price. One good thing about this product is that it doesn't clump.

This is a great every day, staple mascara for those days when you want to look yourself, but better. It does exactly what it says on the tube- defines your lashes, including those tiny little ones around the corners of your eyes. I was pleased it did not clump and it dried quickly. I think this is a nice mascara but when you consider the other options on the market which define, add volume and length, I would go with the competition.

I use this daily and althought I don't have short lashes they're not long either and it makes them stand out and as it says - defined.

It doesn't clump during the day or even with a second application.

First of all i will say that the product does do as it describes. But unfortunately it is not recommended for people with short lashes...only because it doesn't provide any volume or thickness. Personally i don't get my desired look that im hoping for as my lashes are short and i want them to look more full as well. However i love how the rubber brush keeps the lashes separate and of course leaves no clumps like most mascaras do

I find that this is a great school or work mascara, it just defines your lashes without looking thick and clumpy, relatively natural for school and work. It has a good consistency and doesn't leave clumps of mascara on the lashes, it applies evenly which is great. Seperates the lashes well! It lasts all day, doesn't smudge, And is easy to remove in the afternoon, heavy scrubbing isn't required :) If you're looking for something with a lot of volume, thickness and length for something like a night out, I wouldn't reccommend this unless you want to apply layers and layers. It's just a good every day work product :) does the job well and is a good price.

I love this mascara, I find one coat is amazing for during the day as it really separates my lashes but builds volume and length too. 2 coats works awesome for night time, it does not clump easily, so layering the mascara is not an issue.

The brush is well designed and the rubber tips are very nice for separating lashes.

Define a lash mascara, does exactly that! It separates your lashes and makes them black as black. Extra volume? No. Extra thickness? No.

I use it for an 'everyday mascara' when I pop out to supermarket, or my daughters music class, where I want to look like natural, this mascara achieves that look.

Nice consistency, not watery, not too thick either. Stays on pretty well, it doesn't flake off during the day. I personally like the wand it is a rubber texture with smaller bristles around it.

I love that this separates all your lashes and coats it with the product which makes you look like you have a few more lashes, but it has never ever given my spidery lashes which I despise!! Really lovely for the bottom lashes aswell.

In conclusion: I like this for an daytime natural look to enhance my eyes, but wouldn't be able to wear this for night time sultry/dramatic look, as it doesn't give your lashes much volume.

I brought this product excited about the difference it would make to my eyelashes sadly this was not so, i found the wand would drag on my lashes as i applied the mascara. I found it hard to apply the mascara and found myself putting on about 3 or 4 coats just to get the desired effect. since i have used a different wand in the bottle so not to waste the product. The wand definetly wasn't what i was expecting.

I was really disappointed with this product. I'm always very picky on the brushes in particular and this one met my high standards, however the actual mascara was thick, sticky and clumpy and required A LOT of swiping the wand on top of the mascara tube before it was good enough to apply to my eyelashes. I naturally have thicky, long eyelashes and was hoping this would enhance them, not stick them together!!

I wasn't too impressed with this mascara when I first used it as it didn't give me the look I was after, maybe because I had too much excess mascara on the brush because the next time I used it, I really liked it. It didn't clump, it separated each eyelash and gave them more length, it is a nice dark formula and didn't smudge. It's really easy to apply with the small bristles on the mascara wand.
