After reading all the rave reviews of this pen I decided to give this a try. I'm quite rubbish at applying liquid and pen type eyeliner due to crepey eyelids and not very good eyesight in one eye! First impression of this pen is that it's very wet. This is good and bad - if you're not careful or highly accurate, you can get a great big smudge on, but on the other hand it makes it very easy to get a line without needing to drag over your eyelid. I'm usually more of a smudged or smokey eyeliner girl but at times I want something sharper, however because of my eyesight and apparently bumpy edged eyelids, it takes me quite a while to get a straight and acceptable line. This is not a quick makeup application, more of a planned event where I can set aside enough time to apply it slowly and carefully. This rules it out for my 6am make up application pre-work but ok for special occasions and weekends. I'll keep using this and see if there are some Youtube vids to give me some tips!

This particular product i had issues with, i saw the design and had to try it, unfortunately for me I found it more difficult to get that perfect pin up with the angle style of the pen, however my niece took to it like a fish in water so that quite possibly could be just me. In regards to the eye liner itself, it was long lasting, the black was very consistent leaving no steaks or stains, it wasn't heavy on the eyes and it was easy to get off with make up remover, Easy on the wallet and does the trick.
The Maybelline Curvitude Liner is presented in a cute black and rose package, where you can see the pen and it’s point of difference, the curved angle. I don’t normally have the steadiest hand for applying eyeliner so normally prefer pencils as they are easier to correct than liquid eyeliner. On following the instructions, holding the liner like a pen and swiping along the lash roots, I found the curved angle of the pen allowed me to apply more accurately. However I did make a small error and on trying to correct, did make a bit of a mess as the liquid eyeliner wasn’t so easy to correct/remove. I ended up with a bit of a smoky look, however I think with practice I could come to quite like this liner as the curved tip did make a big difference than applying with a standard straight applicator.
Tips: Have makeup remover on hand, don’t try to correct without.
I started uaing this eye liner recently after a long period of using the Za model which is a very hard act to follow.
It is a standard liquid eye liner but with the exception that it has a curved head. To be fair, it has taken some time to get to grips with it and I'm still not that good with it.
It is small and slim enough to handle easily and the liquid flows beautifully, so there a no issues with any of those hings, but I am struggling to adjust to the curved head. When I can get the product on completely it does look good and is quite nice and even.
Overall it is ok, but I'll need more practice to be good at it. The price seems appropriate at $20.00. Definitely worth trying if you're a liquid eye liner fan.
Tips: I will update later if I can manage any improvement.
In the trial time I managed to use the eyeliner multiple times. I have always had a love hate relationship with liquid eyeliners. Love it on other people, but never been so sure of it on myself due to my inability to get the perfect ‘line and flick’.
The product came in a sophisticated black packaging and text was easy and clear to read. The most obvious and unique feature however was the eyeliner’s bent neck.
This neck is made for easy application of the eyeliner. While I think I will always struggle to get the perfect lines with liquid eyeliners the bent neck made it a lot more simple to have a steady hand and attempt the desired effect. The eyeliner glided on easily and gave a striking line.
The eyeliner was long lasting and did not irritate my eyes.
