Shiseido Full Lash Volume Mascara Review

I've read many conflicting reviews about Shiseido Full Lash mascara and decided to give it a try for myself when I got my hands on a luxury sample.  

The curved mascara wand took a little getting used to but it the arch in the wand definitely makes it easy coat all lashes and the well-spaced bristles ensure that each lash is coated, without any clumping.  I tried "black", which is jet black (it comes in brown too) and the formula is quite wet, so it takes a while to dry and I find I have to be careful not to smudge it before it's dry.  Once dry, it lasts all day with no flaking or smudging.  

Washing it off is really easy too, it simply washes away with my usual foaming cleanser, no make-up remover needed.  The instructions do say to hold a warm wash cloth on the eye area for about 10 seconds and it should simple wipe off, but I don't find that necessary with a foaming cleanser.  

At $50+ per tube, purchasing this mascara every 3 months can start to get really expensive very quickly, so unless you have disposable income to spend on mascara, this may be a special occasion or "wishlist" item.  Would I recommend it?  Yes, even it it's just a once-off purchase (splurge) for the mascara wand!  

The packaging is striking sleek smooth and sort of a twist down the side of the tube and lid like a liquorice twist but with less twist and more shine. This is so comfortable to use and hold, the wand has a bristle brush with a slight curve to it makes it easy to get in close to my lash line.

The mascara itself is black this has a soft creamy texture to it, making it so easy to stick to all my lashes while making them thick and long with no clumps. I get no flaking or crumbling or little black dots of mascara on my face nor do I get any eye irritation just amazing full lashes. Removal is easy as warm water it sort of just melts away leaving my lashes supple no drying or any breaking of my wee lashes with this.

This is for me an awesome mascara I'll definitely repurchase.

I received a trial size of this in a Goodie Box and was super excited! However I found that while the product was ok to apply (a little clumpy, this was fixed by running a clean brush through my lashes), I had a lot of fallout (lots of product falling off my lashes) throughout the day. It did make my lashes look great, however i wouldn't wear it if I had something important to go to (because of it falling off)

I received a deluxe sample of this in the September Goodiebox, I had high hopes... Shiseido usually do products well... This sadly, was an epic fail.

The formula is really thick & I found it just clumped as soon as it hit my lashes. I tried wiping some of the product off the wand to maybe spread out what was on my lashes, it worked a little bit but I feel this process is just far too time consuming really.

I wore it all day & had to keep wiping under my eyes as it kept just kind of melting off...

Washing it off required a little more than warm water too... the instructions said to just hold a warm flannel on the eye for about 10 seconds & it should just wipe off... not the case, I still had to use eye make up remover.

On a positive note; the wand is nice. It has an arch that comes in handy for getting all the lashes & the bristles are spaced well. I've cleaned it off & use it with another mascara.

All in all I'm really gutted about this one... maybe I got a dud.. I don't know. But I definitely will not be purchasing it, especially at $50!

This product is a new release from Shiseido, and only hit the market last month. But ever since i got this mascara, I can not stop using it.

Firstly, I love the packaging of this mascara. It has a smooth top which has a slight flower shape to it, this shape ripples down the side of the mascara cylinder to create smooth waves, which makes it look really unique as well as making it super easy to hold.

This mascara has a bristle brush, which I love. It seems like getting good mascaras that are made from bristle brushes is getting harder and harder. The way this brush is shaped means I can get up close to my lashes and wriggle really close to the roots which give my lashes more volume.

The mascara itself it jet black, and has a creamy, rich consistency and a wet feel to it. I find it wears really well throughout the day, and doesn’t flake at all. However, when it does get to the end of the day and I start rubbing my eyes (yes I know it’s a big no no), well that’s when this mascara starts to get messy, but if you’re not like me, you shouldn’t have a problem.

I am really enjoying this mascara, and think I will be repurchasing it. It seems to work wonders with my lashes and so far.. I am very impressed.
