Maybelline Volum' Express the Colossal Review

I've found this mascara just okay. I did make my lashes longer but then it also stuck them together a little bit making them all spidery (don't think thats a word). Then I'd have to comb them out using an eyebrow comb. Then came removing it. Oh my goodness what a mission it just wont budge. Even when I thought I'd gotten it all off I'd stll have panda eyes in the morning. So I probably won't buy this again myself

There was a bucket sale on a months ago and I managed to pick up one of these mascaras to try. What I like about Maybelline is you can find it at almost any store. When I purchase from bucket sales I always look for a mascaras that are completely sealed with packaging because I have purchased other mascaras that ended up being dry. So beware of this .

This mascara comes in a bright yellow container thats easy to open and close. This wand is slightly hooked. The bristles on this brush are short and compacted together nicely. The formula of this mascara is black liquid without any scent.

When I apply this mascara to my lashes it darkens them well without any clumps. My lashes appear to be bold and full with using this. After about four hours of wear I do notice that the bottom lash line seeps out onto my under eye area. I do need to touch up my lashes during this time frame.

I believe this was extremely affordable from a bucket sale and prices can vary from store to store. This mascara can last me up to four months with weekly usage longer if I use it less. I wouldn't buy it again because it did create black under eye circles.

I thought I would give this mascara a go after reading all the reviews and hearing good things about it.I am a regular user of Maybelline mascaras so I was excited to try this one but I felt it wasn't that great for when it came to adding volume and length to my thin lashes.I had to appy about 3 or 4 coats to make this work and then my eyelashes stuck together so then I had to separate them all the while pulling eyelashes out :( I did find the mascara stayed put and didn't run or cause me panda eyes and the black colour did stand out.I think it would depend on how thick or long your eyelashes are on how well this works for you as not everyone has the same type of eyelashes. Overall it is an ok mascara and very affordable,clump free and run free but I just felt it wasn't for me so off I go to find my "holy grail" mascara again.

this mascara wasn't as good as i wished it was for my lashes particularly. I have very straight long lashes and they are quite volumous to begin with i guess so maybe asking for more volume back fired?? because of my straight stubborn lashes the wand wasn't as flexible as i now realise works best for me. Found this a bit clumpy but could be fixed with an eyelash comb if you wanted a more natural look. not for me, but could be for you?!

While I was using this mascara I thought it was fabulous! - However when I went to repurchase I bought Rocket instead and have since realised how clumpy and flaky the colossal mascara was in comparasin. Definitely not a bad mascara! and if I was given a new one I would definitely use it, but for the price there are better mascaras out there!

I really like the effect that this gives. Lashes look AMAZEBALLS - thick and long - but the only bugger is (and this is a big bugger) that it smudges on me - e.g. up by my eyebrows. I've got long lashes (no, not whinging about that) and, even using the waterproof version, it rubs off on my upper eye area and leaves black marks. So I won't be using it again... It's been relegated to the 'emergency stash'...

Kinda clumpy, very thick. Quite voluminous, but can be overdone very very easy. True black. Dries very quickly if you dont screw the top super tight

I am using this Mascara at the moment have have short lashes but love the thick long full lashes so im always on the search for a mascara I really love I still haven't found one! :-/ this is probably one of the best ones that suits my lashes if I apply about 4 layers then I can notice that I do have lashes haha, is alright I supose!

I was so looking forward to this. At first, it was all right- I even preferred this over Maybelline's pink mascara. But after few applications - I began to notice the weird smell it has.- Not to mention the clumpy formula sticking my eye lashes together. I may be wrong but I thought it was creating volume through sticking eye lashes together. Overall, it was just not the right product for me. It may work for people with fewer lashes.

I was so excited to try this Mascara out, I have very fine short lashes and to have more Volume and thickness is an absolute must for my lashes to stand out. For my first application the product was extremely thick and quite clumpy on the lashes, they did look thicker on first application, but not separated and I didn't like the look. But as time wore on and there was less product on the brush, it became easier and my lashes were nicely separated. I definitely liked the look as time wore on but for the price you pay, it doesn't do what it says from the get go and I've tried cheaper Mascara's with better results.
