Maybelline Define-a-lash Mascara Review

When I first got this mascara I must say I absolutely loathed it, but after leaving it for a while and going back to it, I got awesome results every time. Doesn't clump too badly, separates lashes nicely, no odour at all. What more could you ask for?

So I'm a big fan of the natural look. I'm a mum and I don't exactly have much of a social life. There's no need to do a full face of make up to go to the supermarket (in my humble opinion, power to you if you have the energy to do so). Consequently I take mascara seriously. It's one of the few products I use daily. Define-a-lash sounded perfect. I envisioned beautiful natural looking non clumpy lashes. Instead what I got was a very full heavy looking undefined look that reminds me of a famous twiggy photo from the 60s. Which would be great if that was the look I was after, but with my lifestyle, I'm not looking for that look. I did however like the silicone brush but it needs a bit of fine tuning to match up to some of the other silicone brushes I've used.

I find this mascara to be a fantastic pairing mascara, i like to use it combined with another mascara to help with the volume but on its own i think it can tend to make my lashes quite spiked and thin, but when using in with very sparse make up it can give a really nice effect.

I found that although it was okay as a mascara. It irritated my sensitive skin and gave me mild dermatitis. Possibly not the greatest product for sensitive skin.

I found that it was a good mascara with no clumping and it did make my lashes stand out more. But I have used other mascaras that have been better and made my lashes look like they were longer, other Maybelline ones too.

i got this mascara as a freebie off a makeup website. i have quite short eyelashes and this definitely made them more defined and longer like it said it would. But didn't give me much volume! Also the consistency is very watery :(

Recently recieved this in a package I brought off i love beauty. Honestly I wouldn't pay for this, ever. unless it was about $8. the wand is good however but incomparable to other brands such as elf.

I have recently started using this mascara and would say that it is good product and it does lengthen the lashes but it doesn't seem to dry fast enough and ends up smudging all over the place but other than that it is a good mascara!

I didn't have high hopes for this mascara when I received it but I have found it is not bad at all. It gives me length and definition and is so easy to apply! While I like crazy thick lashes it's great for everyday and a good lash separator for when I do a dramatic eye.

I came across this Mascara when I got it for free off a website in New Zealand. I didn't expect much, which meant I got a wee surprise when I used it for the first time and found it was pretty awesome. I think that this mascara suits it's name. It's not really for volume, but it definitely DEFINES your lashes and separates them and makes them look super long. The wand in this mascara is quite comb-like which is what I prefer. I find these wands tend to apply product more evenly and less clumpy. Basically, if you are looking for a subtle mascara that defines, separates and lengthens lashes then this is the one for you! It is cheap, lasts a long time, and is efficient at applying mascara. However, I wouldn't use this product at night time because it doesn't give a thick voluminous look which stands out at night time.
