L'Oreal Paris Bambi False Lash Mascara Reviews

I received this from the last beauty vault and really was hoping that this would be my holy grail mascara,unfortunately I am still searching.I found the formula was quite wet to apply and once dry,it was hard to build up on my lashes.Where was my doe eyed look? all it did was darken and lengthen my lashes but there was no curl and no volume to them.My lashes are very fair,a bit sparse in areas but they are an average length,I wanted more volume and the curl.It is an ok mascara but it did not give me a false lash look.I don't think I would purchase this as it just doesn't seem to give me the look I am looking for or be value for money.

When I look for my mascaras - I look for certain things: does it smudge after a day at work? will it be too heavy for my eyelashes (I always curl them with the curler)? how easy/well will it apply?

For this mascara, it was everything that I wasn't looking for in a mascara. It was very very very sad and this is why: 1. It smudges underneath the eye even if it's powdered!! This is my number one requirement - no smudging. I always make sure that the area that my eyelashes are likely to touch are powdered and dry so it's avoidable. I already had my regular one that NEVER smudges, this couldn't replace my current one.

2. Even if I curled my eyelashes with a curler, the mascara itself was too heavy for my eyelashes and it kept bringing my eyelashes down from being curled. I even tried fixing it with a warm wooden stick - but it just seems to be too much of work for a mascara that I wanted to use daily.

3. I know the silicone-style brush is meant to be the new thing but it's just really difficult to apply nice and clean initially. I either had too much or too less and I had to be careful. I don't think I want to use this if I am busy getting ready for work

I do not understand this mascara. I'm genuinely confused. I've seen rave reviews here and on YouTube and I thought it would beat my Holy Grain Hourglass Caution mascara. Spoiler alert: It Did Not.

The packaging reminds me of my favourite L'Oreal mascara - Butterfly (BEST drugstore mascara - I've bought it three times now), but that's where the similarity ends (in fact, if you want a long/separated/doe-eyed look - get the Butterfly version), but that's where the similarities end.

The wand is the plastic (silicone?) kind and looks promising in that it's got a goodly amount of size and bristles, but I find the wand and the mascara (I'm thinking mostly the wand) do nothing. My lashes are not lifted or lengthened, and there's no Bambi. I've given it a few goes, left it for a few weeks to see if drying out would help - but no.

It's not the worst mascara ever, but for me it's nowhere near the best.

First off thanks so much BR for giving me the opportunity to be part of this trial. I had just run out of mascara so this was perfect timing for me.

It comes in a gorgeous metallic silver tube. I find it visually appealing. I however don't feel the need for the box it comes in. Just a waste of packaging to me. It came in black which is the only colour I ever use. The tube is quite chunky but it is easy to hold.

The brush has short bristles, it does a great job at coating my lashes and defining them. The formula is more on the dry side, I find one coat is all I can do otherwise it starts to clump, especially on my outer lashes. But one coat is really all I need so I'm ok with that.

My lashes are instantly noticeably longer and lush looking.  They fan out beautifully and are definitely more dramatic than the previous mascara I was using. I really love how they look.

I get no transfer or flaking at all. It stays put all day long until I remove with micellar water. This is a really great mascara for both day and night. A great affordable price also.

L'Oreal Paris Bambi False Lash Mascara promises a "bigger, wider, doe-eyed look" but for me, that didn't eventuate.

The product is a beautiful silver case which stands out (especially in the depths of a handbag) and is a more angular shape than other mascaras. The brush is passable - nothing revolutionary.

The mascara itself isn't black black, but rather more of a muddy grey/black. It seems weird but it does dry to be quite dark. It glides on easily without clumps and the brush does an acceptable job.

But I failed to see the "bambi" eye or the "false lash". My outer corner lashes did curl a smidgen, but that was all. The others were much the same, just with mascara on them. I tried it on one eye for the night (at home!) and honestly, there was no discernible difference in curl or eye-opening effect. When I wore it out in the daytime, nobody mentioned anything about my mascara, so it obviously didn't look overly different. It didn't look like I was wearing false eyelashes either. Sadly, this mascara offered no difference to any other mascara that I currently use. It didn't live up to it's promises sadly.

In saying that, it's still a decent mascara. It wasn't clumpy, it didn't smudge (even in the middle of hayfever season!), but it was also relatively easy to remove. I'll definitely use it all up, but I won't be in a hurry to replace it. There's plenty of mascara that does the same for less.

I had hopes this mascara would mean I could ditch (or at least ease up) on my eyelash curler. While I'm not so naive to think it would replace it, or offer something better, it was disappointing it did nothing of the sort. Just the merest hint of a curl in a corner. Disappointing.

If you are looking fora mascara that gives extreme length and separation this is the mascara for you!!

A beautiful, very black and not too wet formula that made my eyelashes look super long and separated beautifully. The wand is plastic and I was pleasantly surprised it was not too big as had been the trend with mascaras over the last few years. As someone with smaller eyes, this was a bonus.

I personally prefer a mascara that helps thicken my eyelashes and need to do about 3 coats with this to get the effect I am used to. Sadly this resulted in the mascara crumbling throughout the day and I had to brush off the little black flecks off my face a few times.

This is also not the best mascara if you are someone who works in a hot environment or is sweating/ has oily eyelids as it will transfer. As a Dance teacher this something I always have to take into consideration when purchasing mascara.

I passed this onto my 15-year-old stepdaughter and she loves it. She has naturally full lashes and this is perfect for her.

Bambi Eye comes in a cool silver container. The lid is quite large and is rounded apart from one side that is squared off. I loved the squared of side as it made it easy to hold and much easier to do the 'rotation' style application they recommend.

For me there were no panda eyes or clumps ... just thick, long, black, amazing lashes that stayed on all day/night. I had so many compliments on my eyelashes ... most compliments started with 'wow'.

I've enjoyed trialing this mascara and love how it makes my lashes look.

The wand is thick and oval with short bristles. It makes it easy to apply on both bottom and lower lashes. I don't have problems with this mascara clumping or making my lashes stick together. It doesn't flake or smudge throughout the day, but is still easy to remove at the end of the day.

I do have mascaras that make my lashes look thicker and darker, but I love how naturally long and full this makes my lashes look. It curls my lashes nicely, when used with or without an eyelash curler. It gives my lashes lots of length. My favourite thing about this is that when I wear it, I don't feel like it looks like I'm wearing mascara (if that makes sense). I own, and have tried, lots of mascaras that make my lashes look longer and fuller, but don't look natural at all, and mascara that looks natural, but doesn't make my lashes as long or full as I would like. This mascara is one of the only ones I've tried that I feel does both - makes it look like I have naturally, long, pretty lashes. This isn't a mascara I would use when doing full glam makeup, but I've been loving it for everyday use - both for how it makes my lashes look and how easy it is to apply.

I think the price of $30 is fair. I would recommend this if you were looking for a good, everyday mascara.

When I first opened this mascara and saw the shape of the wand, I was dubious as I am used to long thin wands as opposed to this more almond shaped wand. I soon found that I needed have worried at all!

The wand being smaller helps to easier apply the product without smudging onto eyelid or the under eye area. It helps to seperate and elongate lashes, opening up your eye area for a wide eyed beauty look.

The product glides onto lashes easier and makes them look full, long and luscious without being clumpy or thick.

This mascara lasted well throughout the entire day without smudging or panda eye.
