Was so excited to trial this product, have been looking at the Bad to Bronze but its always out of stock. Comes in a wee little twist off pot. Lovely and creamy feeling, I swiped on my hand and noticed the glistening gold specks, cute. I first applied with my finger all over eyelid (wasn't going out that day) to see how long it lasts without creasing and it did for about 4 hours then I noticed yes indeed it had started to crease. Next day I applied a primer first then the Bold Gold, much better didn't crease for about 8 hours, didn't disappear at all. I then wanted to play with other eye shadows, which I used natural browns and used the Bold Gold all over my eyelid with a brush and the other shadows on top except in the corners of my eyes, love this look really made my eyes pop. Felt it helped keep my eye shadow on longer and no creasing all day, fabulous. Will be looking for more colors that will suit me.

I love the concept of these colour tattoos and already own one of the matte limited addition ones. I think the creamy consistency along side the glittery specks is a perfect combination for a more wearable glitter look - and isn't seen much on the market. So I like the colour, like the texture, like the idea. But it didn't quite last a whole day, let alone 24 hours. The gold had kind of flaked away by the end of my work day. I would still use it again definitely though, and may build up my collection of these products.
Tips: It is super easy to apply with an eyeshadow brush, and although I didn't try, i'm sure it would slide on with your fingers really well too. Makes a great base for the many gold-ish shades in Naked 1 and 2
I know this is a cult favourite but i don't get it, i bought two of these in the hopes of buying even more. But I'm quite disappointed. They were a bit dried up even though they were brand new, it was hard to get them into a brush or my finger. The shimmery ones are just SHIMMER, it was too much and their was no balance, they creased real bad on me too. I must be doing something wrong but i apply them the way youtube gurus do. Such a shame because i wanted them to work for me.
This is one of those products I've heard a lot about recently, and have been very tempted to try. However, the testers at Farmers have continually put me off- they all felt drier and it was hard to get some of the product onto your finger to test. However, this arrived and I couldn't be happier. It's smooth and very easy to get onto your finger, and goes onto your lid very easily. You don't need a lot of this product to cover your lid. I wore it for a few hours - on its own on one lid and as a base on the other with light gold / black eye shadow to make a smokey eye, and for both eyes, it did not budge. I have quite oily lids and put it on without a primer, so I was quite impressed. It also helped intensify the colour of my eye shadow. My eyes looked the same as when they went on. And it's so easy to remove- a swipe of a cleansing wipe/make up remover wipe and it's gone. It's perfect for an everyday all over colour, or blended with eye shadow to dress it up. I know want to head out and pick up every colour I can!
Tips: Apply with your finger not a brush to get a consistent all over colour. If you're planning a dressed up gold smokey eye, this will be perfect for running through your lower lash line.
I have these in Tough as Taupe, Pomegranate Punk and Seashore Frosts - they're all SO gorgeous. My favourite is Tough as Taupe, it's the perfect matte base that looks good with any darker taupe or brown shadow over top, it also looks great on the lower lash line and STAYS all day (I have the biggest problem with my lower lash line eyeliner creeping into creases and bleeding. I highly recommend these, I have oily lids and these stay put, don't crease and work on their own or under a powder shadow. Plus they come in a huge range of shades, there's literally something for everyone.
Wore this to town one night, doing my makeup at 7, getting home at 3 and it had not budged, at all, whatsoever, in the slightest. THe colour is absolutely to die for. One of the most beautiful golds I've ever come across, and the price of them is absolutely amazing. I'm starting to collect them all.
When these came out I really didn't think that they would compare to MAC Paint Pots, come on - they're like a quarter of the price! Man was I wrong!!!! I can only talk about the Bad to the Bronze shade as this is the only one that I have but this applies like a dream. I apply all over the lid with my finger & either put a matte dark brown in the crease or just leave it as is if I'm time poor that morning. I love it. It stays put all day & it looks as if you've made an effort. I don't find it patchy or drying. I'm quite keen to get & try the Bold Gold now. Nice work Maybelline!
Amazing base and base builder! Cheap, fast, easy, brilliant for the -Im-running-late mornings and for a handbag keep. Keep cap on as much as poss though !
Tips: If it dries out, dab a drop of water on it. Works a charm
Although i dont wear my makeup for 24hours, i would say it stays put all day (using eye primer) and is very pigmented and has barely any fallout. It use it on the lid with browns in my crease and its a beautiful gold.
Tips: Apply eye lip primer which will help prevent fallout creasing and increase the stay power
This eye shadow is amazing. Cute little pot, amazing color and very easy to apply. It doesn't settle in your crease like other eye shadows. It lasts for a long time. Bold gold I'd the perfect color for me as I have bright blue eyes. I was so impressed with this product I brought two more colors almost instantly. * inked in pink And * pomegranate punk
Tips: Use your pinky fingers to apply =)
