L'Oreal Colour Infallable Eyeshadow

Love the pigmentation, love how easy it is to swipe it using my fingers instead of using brush when I'm in a hurry - but good grief, the glitter fallout is crazy!. It's great as a base though and stays put all day, even through workouts. over all i love this and would buy again

L'Oreal Colour Infallable Eye Shadow

I'm glad I waited a bit before posting a review on these because at first I hated them!

I have two, one in "With a Twist" which is an amazing true purple, and the other is "Strawberry Blonde" which is a pink with magenta reflects.

I was applying them with a brush and it was hard to blend, chunky looking and made my eyelids look wrinkly and weird.

I played around with them a bit more and tried applying with my finger instead and what a difference! They are actually an amazing product! I first patted the product onto my eyelids and then blended it out a bit with a brush. This worked so much better than picking the product up on the brush first.

The texture is very weird and different to any other eye shadows I have ever tried. It is difficult to find the words to explain it! They are almost loose and pressed at the same time, and feel almost damp when you pick up the product on your finger. I think they are comparable to a Maybelline Colour Tattoo, in a powder version. They are like a base and an eyeshadow in one.

I wore one all day without touching up as a test for this review and it is still mostly on now after 12 hours. There are small creases, but I have pretty deep set eyes that are prone to creasing.

Overall I would recommend this product and suggest using your fingers to apply, as a brush does not pick up the product correctly.

Will be buying more!!

Tips: Don't apply with a brush :)

Didn't live up to its reputation

I heard this was an amazing eyeshadow, but unfortunately I didn't feel the same. I purchased one of the gold colours from the Kmart makeup sale as it was only $10! When I pick it up it is a lovely light, champagne gold colour, however I do not find the shadow to be as pigmented as I like. I really have to build it up for the colour to look strong. Perhaps a brighter and darker colour would show up better but I am disappointed with this gold one.

I found the same thing. They really are not well pigmented, even with the black one I bought. Odd.

L'Oréal infallible eye shadows

I managed to score three of these for $9 at farmers (score! I love clearance sales) I got a goldy black shimmer, a coral pink and a shimmery purple (which shows up more of a silver). I was looking from these after reading the reviews on here and they are great eyeshadows. I love that they're individual (really easy to throw in the hand bag), and they have a little stopper under the lid which prevents the product from crackling and spreading all over the show when you open it. Good thinking, L'Oréal! As for the colour itself, I expected a really rich pigment but even when used with a wet brush I found the colours (even the black with the gold glitter) really subtle. It's nice, as I don't like a reaaaaally heavy eye but a little bit more of a punch would be good, especially as the coral pink is kind of lost once it's on your skin. It is still a nice shimmer, though. The purple really doesn't look purple, but I prefer silver to purple anyway, but I do wish the black was richer. Having said that, I paid three bucks a piece so I'm pretty happy! They're easy to use wet or dry, and they're very pretty and sparkly (I love sparkly! ) so that's great. They also last an impressivly long time! I used them dry yesterday and even after a wedding (where I cried like a baby!) These didn't crease or smear. Super impressed. I would definitely grab these if I see them on special, but I won't be paying $25 for them.

Tips: Wet or dry, these are a goer if you like a subtle eye.

Infallable Eyeshadow

I have just the one of these but I love it. It's a silvery grey colour and is great for using with other colours.

I usually use it with black for a smokey eye look or with a royal blue colour for something a little more daring.

It lasts most of the night and doesnt crease into my eyelid - my pet hate with eyeshadows!

I havent tried any of the other colours yet but they are next on my purchase list.

A great highlighter

I actually bought this on a last minute whim when I was about to go out but forgot to pack my highlighter. It was Imperial Gold I think, but it was really awesome. It didn't crease or sweat off, which is far more likely in the area's I use highlight, I have since gone out & bought another 2 shades to use as an eyeshadow, & keep it in my handbag as a highlighter again should I need it.

Lovely texture, beautiful colours

I love these eyeshadows! They're extremely soft and are almost like butter to apply. I find that the colour pay-off is excellent and they last all day. The packaging makes them look really high-end, however it can be a little annoying to take the little presser thing off every time (it's necessary though, as the shadow is so soft and buttery). I would definitely continue buying these shadows as they are awesome!

L'Oreal Colour Infallable Eyeshadow

I currently own six of these amazingly pigmented eyeshadows: -892 Amber Rush which I bought from an American makeup site due to Lauren Curtis going on about how great this shade is. It's like a light coppery colour. -033 Tender Caramel a light-medium brown colour. -407 Gold Imperial a classic gold shade. -031 Innocent Turquoise which is a turquoise blue colour. -342 With A Twist a classic medium purple colour. -036 Naughty Strawberry a lovely light pink with golden flecks of shimmer I have purchased most of these from postie plus as they have an amazing selection of shades and are at a great price. I find that these eyeshadows are nicely packaged. These have a beautiful shimmer to them. These are easy to apply and the colour doesn't fade or crease throughout the day.

Collect them all!!

I currently have seven of these in the shades:

- 033 Tender Caramel (a light-to-medium cool frosty brown with a hint of mauve and a lovely shimmer which I find leans towards a taupe shade on my lids)

- 013 Burning Black (a deep burgundy shade with a golden/red leaning shimmer)

- 032 Sassy Marshmallow (A frost light blue shade)

- 037 Metallic Lilac (a frosty silver leaning lilac shade)

- 036 Naughty Strawberry (pink with golden flecks of shimmer)

- 408 Gleaming Bronze (a green toned bronze shade with a gold sheen)

- 407 Imperial Gold (classic shimmering gold shade)

I have purchased most of them from numerous postie plus stores for around $8 I think? Far below there price in Farmers/drugstores and the like.

I find these shadows have a beautiful shimmer and are fantastically pigmented. They are lovely to use, blending on the lid easily and the colour doesn't fade or crease throughout the day. They are a bit odd in terms of texture and the shadow doesn't come out onto the brush well, but in saying that, this is probably a good thing as a little goes a long way. I also don't find they give me grief with any fall out which is great.

I find the packaging of these fantastic and oh so cute (who wouldn't want to collect them :P). The shade can be seen through the top of the pot, so I often gravitate towards the pretty colours when searching for a shadow. underneath. There is also a cover inside on the shadow which presses the shadow down into the pan when the lid is screwed shut which is great since it is a pressed pigment type product.

There small size and sturdy packaging makes them great for travelling and I often take the shade 033 Tender Caramel with me for short stays away as it is a fantastic for single shadow eye looks as it catches the light on the lid (appearing lighter) and doesn't in the crease (so looks darker) and then shears out again slightly above the crease looking lighter.

I love these and they are definitely a product I will continue to repurchase and would recommend to anyone.

Tips: Postie plus sells these cheaper than anywhere else I have found.

Amazing pigment! Amazing quality

I was gifted the all night blue one a year ago, I was very excited to use it, it is very pigmented and glides on the eye like silk, blending is a breeze! The packaging is very stylish, small and convenient to carry, very easy to find in your makeup bag with the shiny silver outlines. I really like how it sticks to the brush and has minimum amount of fallout. When I do a dramatic smoky eye I use a black gel liner and pat the eyeshadow on top, it looks amazing! And it lasts! If i was gifted the eyeshadow i would have brought it anyway, i absolutely love this!
