It's the exact same as the bigger setting powder

Don't waste your money on this size - get the bigger HD Setting Powder by E.L.F because they're basically exactly the same. This tub is TINY and it's hard to get a good amount of product on your brush (and you really need to use a different brush to the one they give you). I'm fairly sure the bigger one is like $1-$3 more so just get that.

I get so annoyed with E.L.F when they put glitter in products - it seriously ruined this. BUT if you use a nice fluffy brush you can pretty much just flick the glitter off your face and the powder stays there. The only thing is getting your nice fluffy brush into the tub without picking up like half the contents of the tub itself. Such silly packaging. They give you one of those covers with the holes so that you can pick up what you need but barely anything comes out when you use that.

The powder itself is amazing. It sets my concealer perfectly. If only they made it bigger and without glitter. I don't think it's really light reflecting because I flick all the glitter off so I really do just use it as a setting powder for my concealer - so basically any old powder would work really.

Now, how big did you say it was?

I decided to purchase this because I had heard such rave reviews about it and E.L.F is usually someone that can deliever! And no one can be disappointed about paying $3.. How ever when it arrived in the mail, I was shocked at how small it was! Waste of time to be honest. It seems to be exactly the same as the E.L.F HD setting powder, except they decided to add glitter (am NOT a fan of that varient) If Glitter isnt your thing, I suggest use a nice, really fluffy brush to remove the glitter, the powder will just stay there.

Did its job okay

This is what I'm using currently as my under eye setting powder. Not because it's my favourite but I go through a lot because I have yet to find one that works really well for me. It does set the concealer under my eyes but it does settle into like, every single line I have under there. I have to touch up quite frequently so I don't think I'll be using this one for very much longer. Still on the hunt!

Average

This was an average undereye setting powder. I liked it when I first tried it because it is quite smooth going on the skin and is finely milled. When I looked closer at my skin, I noticed that it has pieces of glitter in it, which I didn't like. I noticed that in sunlight, the glittery pieces would show up and didn't look very natural at all. Wouldn't recommend unless you like a shimmery undereye.

Expected more

This product is raved about on Youtube and I was disapointed with it after using it for a week.

Didnt notice any camoflaging of fine lines, didnt think it difused the light more than any standard translucent powder,

Also, whats with the tiny brush?? I really dont see how its even relevant to the product, so small and useless.

Over rated :(

My under eye area is a huge problem area for me, and I purchased this product after hearing all the hype. Unfortunately, it did not make all my brightening, non-creasing and setting dreams come true :( Without being too blunt, the packaging is horrible, haha. Mine is all through the lid and invariably spills everywhere. The brush that came with it is hopeless, and even using a bigger brush it is difficult to apply and work with. The powder itself is nice and fine, but quite white, with lots of glittery bits through it. I am pretty much about ready to give up on it at this stage-but at least it wasn't expensive ;/

Fiddly & Underwhelming

This is one of those products that, when I heard all the hype, I just knew was going to end up as one of my HG products. So, in one of my last iherb orders, I picked up one of these, expecting to be wowed at the first use. But... nope.

First off, the packaging is really annoying. It's very chunky considering that the amount of product is actually very small, and the cap is SO hard to twist on and off easily. It looks cute, but that's about all that's going for it, in my opinion.

The actual product is a very fine, slightly champagne tinged sheer powder.... with visible-to-the-eye chunks of glitter running through it. It sparkles in the light. Yep.

The best way to pick up the product is to tap a little bit into the lid, then swirl the brush lightly and tap off the excess

I first tried applying this just with my powder brush, as I didn't have anything smaller. I didn't like how it applied with this brush, as I found it looked a bit cakey, chunky, and actually dulled down my undereye area more than when I just set it lightly with my normal face powder.

However, I was determined to like this, so I bought the RT Setting Brush, as I'd heard that it worked really well with this. I love the brush, but I still don't like this powder. It did apply better, and looked slightly more natural, but to be honest I just prefer how my normal powder looks compared to this one.

I find that this makes my undereye concealer look dull, which attracts attention to the darkness in general, and the glitter particles, although not as obvious as when in the packaging, show up, especially in sunlight. The resulting effect of a dry, sparkly undereye area is not one that I enjoy.

It does prevent creasing, I will give it that, but then so does my Rimmel Stay Matte. It is cheap, yes, but it’s also fiddly and, in my opinion, not that effective, so I’d rather stick with my one face powder . It’s worth giving a shot given the price, but I wouldn’t recommend it, and I definitely won’t be repurchasing.

Tips: Apply with a small fluffy brush, such as the RT Setting Brush, for the best effect.

Okay for the price

I brought this product off iherb after hearing youtubers talk about. I think it cost $3USD so thought I would give it a go. It is great for setting under eye products but I couldn't really tell whether it had actually brightened my under eye area which is what I wanted it for, I have quite pale skin as well so maybe this was the reason it didn't work for me. Its a loose powder it can get quite messy if you forget to tap any excess powder off the brush. I found the brush to be quite harsh to use, the hair on the brush are quite course so I opt for another elf brush I have. I don't really use this product I usually opt for another product that also brightens my eye. But for the price I really can't complain.

Setting my lipstick

I'm still on my first jar that I bought years ago and it's not a favourite of mine but I have found a different use for it. I initially bought this to to set my undereye area since there was quite a lot of hype around this affordable powder.

When I ordered it online from BeautyBliss I knew that it was small but I was still surprised at just how small it was when it arrived. The outer plastic packaging is a similar size to a Colourpop eyeshadow however the powder is actually stored in another container within the outer packaging and it is SMALL. It's a good thing you don't need much so the little jar can last you well over a year (depending on usage).

I love how this powder feels when swatched - it really is a silky powder which leaves the skin feeling like it has been primed. It has light reflecting specks of sparkle; it's very subtle on some people but I'm from the chocolate club and it's not hard to spot - it doesn't bother me though. For a small jar; it can still get relatively messy because there is no stopper to allow you to just pour out a little bit at a time. I've had many episodes of wastage yet I still have plenty left in the jar.

I use any of the following concealers under my eyes - MAC Pro Longwear concealer, Giorgio Armani Master Corrector or Hourglass Concealer; they're not too thick and blend almost seamlessly into the skin. So with that being said I expected the powder to sit nicely on top of the concealers but instead it looked like I had caked on the powder and my fine lines were on show for the world to see.

I apply the powder using a small tapered brush that fits nicely under the eye area. I pick up a bit of product, tap off excess and lightly pressed it into the skin. When I wasn't happy with the results I tried the exact same thing except I swiped it across the skin. My last attempt was to push the powder into the skin but I still had little success in creating a flawless finish when setting my under eye.

After 2 months of playing with it I gave up and decided it to use it to blot my lips to set my lipstick especially if I was after a matte finish. I apply a layer of lipstick, blot with 1 layer of tissue, apply dusting of powder on the layer of tissue and repeat the process until I'm happy with the result. I've had my jar for awhile and I still have a whole lot left but once finished I won't be repurchasing.

Leaves glitter on the skin

I like the finish that this product gives when applied on top of a cream/liquid concealer - provides a pretty and bright appearance to the skin and the skin appears smooth and airbrushed. However, this product does have little specks of glitter in it. Some brushes allow you to flick the glitter away as you apply, but for me i was always left with specks of glitter under my eyes, which i do not prefer.
