Beautiful combination of colours

One of the first things I purchased from Colorpop was a few of their quads (value for money) and this Kathleen Light version has been my favourite by far.

The creamy shadows, in their little round white pots, are very easy to apply with your finger and then blend out with a brush, you can apply with a brush but it must be a tightly packed synthetic or it is just not going to pick up and place the colour properly.

However, you have to be really careful in how you store these and that you fully re-cap them to prevent the drying out prematurely. I also keep mine in an acrylic storage system which adds another layer of protection and keeps out of direct sunlight. Have owned these for 2 years now and are still as creamy as the day I purchased them.

The only downside with Colourpop is that although their products are cheap their worldwide shipping is and it makes it unjustifiable to purchase just a couple of pieces, it is far better to go in with a couple of friends and spread the cost.

Beautiful

i can't get over how gorgeous these are, you can tell that Kathleen put alot of thought into naming and creating these shades they are so her and very stunning! they look beautiful on and are super easy to blend and apply, although if you have oily lids like mine the colors will not last more than a couple of hours without a primer.

beautiful pigmentation

This set was my first foray into the color pop world. I'd seen them all over YouTube and then when i saw Kathleen talking about this set, i really wanted it.

These are marketed as cheap eyeshadow, I'm sure they are in the states but the shipping is horrendous and it cost me $45 all up just to get this little set.

This set comes nicely packaged in a cardboard box with the 4 shadows in their separate containers. Each shadow has to be packed in an separate screw top container because the shadow is a special cream formula that would otherwise dry out in a normal palette. The containers are quite large compared to the small amount of shadow you get. If you had a lot of them, it would take up a lot of Room!

In this set, the four colors you get are quite a nice selection. There are two matte shades. Glow which is a creamy white color and cornelious which is a warm mid brown. Kathleen lights is a gorgeous bronzey orange. This shade is what they call pearlized and blaze which is a brown gold with glitters. This is a metallic shade.

The colors are beautiful, they swatch really creamy and do look intense on the eye. I don't really like them because they don't really apply well with a brush ( I'm not the biggest fan of using my finger for eyeshadow). Also they are not too easy to blend and they just don't last too great on me, I get creasing after a few hours even with a eye base on.

While I think these are a unique product, the texture really is lovely and soft, they just don't perform like I would like them too. Some other cons are, they are very easy to hit pan on, the bottom of these shadows is quite deceptive considering how big the pots are and also the life span is only supposed to be around a year as they will dry out and be unusable. I really can't recommend these, I'd rather spend $45 on a mini urban decay palette than these.

A MAZE ING!

Im just going to start off by saying if you have never tried colourpop eyeshadows - go and order some now! These are the most amazing eyeshadows i have ever tried, so highly pigmented its crazy, and the texture is like something i have never seen before.

I may be biased to this quad as i am a massive Kathleenlights fan, but the colour selection is soooo pretty and can worn so many different ways. I love this quad and reach for it daily.

Tips: Apply with fingers for amazing intensity

Need 6 lips - I'm a fan and I'm impressed!

I'm a Kathleen light fan in the first place, couple that with my love of Colourpop products and I knew even before I saw the quad that this was going to be a product I would fall in love with, and I have...hard!

Wrapped in a gorgeous (my favourite of the moment!) rose gold sleeve, etched with golden accents. Inside the 4 single shadows sit happily together, each one as pretty as the other. I keep my collaboration quads in their original packaging as I found them as equally as important and pretty as the shadows inside, plus it keeps them altogether. Once out of the quad, the individual shadows are the same in design to all the other Colourpop shadows. A soft, creamy, bouncy effect shadow that has the scale effect printed on top, enclosed in a white round small acrylic pot that has a screw on lid, that is essential to be kept shut tightly to ensure the shadow doesn't dry out. In the centre of the lid is a clear see through acrylic circle so you can see the shadow inside. And finally the Colourpop logo in it's holographic font.

The 4 shadows that form the quad are:

Kathleen Light - Copper gold tone which has a soft sheen effect to it Glow - Soft creamy shade that offers the perfect contrast to the bronze colours Blaze - Darker brown copper shade, perfect as a crease shade Cornelious - Caramel shade in a softer finish

You can use these shades altogether for the perfect copper/bronze smokey effect, or individually. Either way you can control how dramatic, as the colours are buildable from a soft to a more bolder look. The only problem I am facing is that I love Kathleen lights the most in this quad and will hit pan rather quickly as I pop it onto my lids when I do other looks and on its own for a quick day look, the problem is that at the moment these are not available to be purchased on their own so if I do hit pan I either go without or will have to repurchase the whole quad set.

I Paid $42 For This Quad..

... and I regret NOTHING. It's so freaking beautiful I can't even stand it. 2 matte shades, one pearlized and one metallic, all beautiful, warm shades that make my blue eyes stand out like crazy. Colourpop shadows are my all time favourites by far. The texture is really unique, half way between a cream and a powder so that they don't crease but it also means NO FALL OUT. The first shade is a matte, slightly off white shade that makes a beautiful browbone and inner corner highlight. It's definitely the shade I reach for even when I'm using a completely different set of eyeshadows to do an eye look. The next is a warm, matte, mid-toned brown called Cornelious (named after one of her dogs, how cute is that?) which makes the perfect transition shade to any eye look. You do have to use a synthetic brush to get it to blend nicely because of the texture of these shadows. But it is stunning. Kathleenlights is a pearlized bronzy gold that was created to be a more metallic version of MAC Amber Lights. It is definitely my favourite shade of the bunch and screams Kathleen. I'm surprised that it's only a pearlized finish, it looks like liquid metal. Absolutely stunning. The last is Blaze, a greeny gold with a metallic finish. Another super pretty shade, this is the only one with a little bit of fall out. I think this foursome is amazingly thought out and if you're into super warm, bronzey eye looks you NEED it in your life. NEED. Colourpop is one of the best drugstore priced brands ever and I feel like no one could regret buying any products from them.

Tips: Use a synthetic brush when trying to blend out matte shades.
