Revlon ColorStay Gel Eyeliner

I purchased this a few months back, as I needed eyeliner that stays put. my eyelids crease in a weird place and always comes off soon after I apply it. I found the brush it comes with sooo hard to use, so if you have your own eyeliner brush, use it instead. I found the consistency when I bought it very easy to use, but now that I have had it a while, it has dried out really fast and it is super hard to use. It does last a long time, but i found it still wore off like others did. Easy to wash off at the end of the day.

I am still yet to find a gel liner I like but I know for sure I wouldn't go back to this one. No way is it smudge proof, the colour doesn't last and the brush doesn't make for an easy application. Maybe a primer would help? I've heard some people rave about this so maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I have used it good few times but still can't seem to make it work for me. It would definatley last a long and I like the little pot it comes in. I don't think i would highly recommend it though.

This is such an awesome eyeliner at such a good price. I have used it for years now and would not change to any other brand simply because I know its lasts and you do not have to scrub to get it off!

I received this as a gift and I am so glad I didn't purchase this myself as I found it very disappointing. The brush that comes with the product is useless, I wish they had left the brush out so the product would be less bulky and easy to store. When I used another brush to apply the eyeliner applied smoothly, however I found that it was difficult to get the eyeliner fully opaque. It was not opaque on the first swipe and when I tried to reapply over the first layer it just moved everything around.

Another problem I had with the product was that it didn't last well throughout the day. On a couple of occasions I used this eyeliner to create a small wing and after a few hours I looked in the mirror to discover I no longer had a nice wing but instead a big black blobby on mess on the side of my eyes. Not ideal!

It also did not take long for my eyeliner to dry out and become completely unusable. Normally to help prevent this you cant store your gel eyeliner upside down but this is very difficult to do with this packaging.

I would not recommend this product

Im a big fan of gel eyeliners and I honestly think this is great!! If you are looking for a starter one I would say to pick this up xx

This is the first and only gel eyeliner I have purchased. It comes with its own applicator which is tucked into the lid. I find the applicator okay as a back up, but rather wide for an everyday look. The glass bottle design is quite tricky to use at times as it tapers at the top. The consistency is thick and does not really stick to the brush properly, so therefore does not apply to my eyelids evenly. I have found after a few uses I put it to the back of my makeup cabinet and reached for other liners that are far less finicky to use. I will probably only use it for a fancy dress party and not every day wear. As for me time is of the essence with a toddler around!

I love the colourstay range. I love this eyeliner and the brush you use to apply is good there is a bit of a knack in applying the eyeliner evenly, but practice makes perfect. and it stays in place for ages!!

The brush that comes with this eyeliner is very difficult to use, because it makes it hard to get both eyes even. However once it is on it lasts all day, so its not too bad.

I ended up getting this gel eyeliner as an impulse buy due to wanting to try it out. I obviously purchased it in the shade black because who actually wears brown eyeliner. When I first started to use this product I absolutely hated it due to it being difficult for me to apply. The packaging is quite simple but I don't like the brush it comes with as for me I find that it is fiddly. I have now started to use my real techniques eyeliner brush which for me is the perfect brush to use with this product. I find that this formula is very smooth and smudge proof. It definitely stays on your eyes all day. I have received heaps of compliments while wearing this. I would definitely repurchase as I love this stuff so much.

There are so many gel liners and eye liners that could out perform this. I wear 'cat-eye' liner almost everyday so I have experimented with a lot of different types. I think it would be better if the packaging was different possibly. I prefer something that's a bit easier to apply without having a thick line everytime.
