Maybelline Cool Effect Cooling Shadow/Liner

I bough this (in white) as I though it would be good for both an inner corner highlight, and as a white liner for my waterline.

It is semi effective as an 'eyeshadow' - you do have to press uncomfortably hard on your eyelid though. However, no matter how many times I run it on my waterline, there is NO colour pay off.

I wouldn't recommend this product.

I have owned many of these since I started wearing makeup. I used to have a good range of colours, suitable for any occasion. They are quite creamy so they stayed in place very well. I was not bothered about the cooling effect, though for someone who gets sensitive eyes, I could see how they would like the cool feel. I didn't see much creasing, though there was a little bit nearer the end of the day. I really enjoyed these, though I am not traditionally a stick eyeshadow girl. Its only downfall is that it is very hard to find a sharpener large enough to sharpen it.

This is a really handy piece of makeup to have. The colour goes onto the skin pretty much the exact same colour that the stick looks like (some makeup doesn't), it glides on nice and smoothly and i use it to brighten up underneath my eyes. I didn't find any funny smell with this and it was long lasting. I did use it a few times as an eyeshadow and found that it did crease so i stopped using it for that. This pencil is quite difficult to sharpen but alot of these are so cant put it down too much for that. It has a shimmer to it so i wouldnt suggest to an more mature woman to wear it but each to their own. It is blendable which is good also. It can be quite thick so practice makes perfect when using this as it a jumbo pencil. Overall I do really like this as a liner not a eyeshadow and would happily recommend it to friends.

I really like this product! I have been using it for a long time. I only use it as a liner, not a shadow, so I can't speak for the other option as to whether it stays on long/creases. I had to find a sharpener with a larger whole since the pencil is bulkier than most eyeliners. Works great!

These were one of the first "makeup" products I had ever purchased, I cant even remember how much I brought them for, I brought the Ice princess and Cool blues, they glide on so easy and smoothly, I used to use this as an overall eyeshadow over the eyelids, the pigmentation is ok, you can layer it easily but I noticed that if you applied to much it would crease above the eyelids so just be cautious of that. I need to have another go of these, they remind me of hot summer teenage days!

I owned a couple of these to use as a bit of a highlight pencil/shadow.

These are incredibly creamy and easy to apply which is lovely as that means there is no unpleasant pulling around the delicate eye area.. However.. They are not very pigmented, they appear like a light shimmer on the skin.. And to actually get any sort of color pay off you require many applications and a bit of pressure which isn't so comfortable on the eye area.

This was one of the first cream eye shadows I owned and it didn't exactly set the bar!

Stayability is okay however the lack of color pay off is very disappointing!

I love this Liner and currently have it in four colours! I love that it has a lovely thick pencil that it has an easy to draw line, it is also easy to sharpen and the colours are nice and vibrant. It comes in a great colour range and they are reasonably priced.

I have this in the colour cool as a cucumber , I picked it up at one of those big bucket deal make up sales for around $4. It was so cheap that i thought id give it ago . I like to use this colour on the inner corner. I find it applies quite smooth and is easy to blend . I did try to use it as a liner but for some reason my eyes didn't like it and it made them sore , so didn't try that again! There are a lot of different colours in this range ,so you should be able to find what your looking for :) I didn't realize they were $25 dollars , i wouldn't pay more than $8 but over all it's a good shadow/liner .

love it! i use this as a eye shadow and it stays on all day, is such a pretty delicate colour also. one of my must haves. i love using this cause with normal eye shadow it crumbles and falls down under my eyes and looks hideous but this doesnt do that. god send x
