Australis Intense Liquid Eyeliner Review

I bought this a few months ago because it was an amazing price at farmers, but also it seemed easy to use for a liquid eyeliner. It's taken me a couple of goes to get it right, but as long as you have a steady hand, it's quite easy to get a nice subtle line, or you can go all out and make it thicker. The staying power I think is good. I've worn it all day at work and its lasted absolutely fine.

The only con with it is that with the lid being so long and then the wand inside it also being quite long, it can be a bit awkward to hold and makes it a little harder to use..but practice makes perfect!

I got this free with an Australis purchase at Farmers. I've used it a couple of times. I don't think it's very good - it smudges really easily, so if you don't do it perfectly from the get go, you have to redo it because it will be really watery. It also applies really unevenly. I don't think liquid eyeliner is something that you should buy cheaply- considering it takes a decent amount of skill to apply in the first place, the last thing you need is a cheap product making it harder. In the end it is manageable to get a good line - but I can't use it to do any sort of wing, because it smudges before it dries. Once it's on though it does stay on better than pencil eyeliner, as that is the point of liquid. I wouldn't recommend it though, as it's just harder to get off in the end. It's not worth the hassle.

I got this as a free product as a part of a special Farmers had a while ago. I thought why not, one can not have too many eyeliners.

From the starts I realized this would be a messy one. I swatched on the back of my hand to see how opaque it would be, but I just couldn't get a straight line because of the ridiculous amount of product you get on the wand. It just gets so messy.

I tried it on my eyes aswell as with eye primer but man does it take forever to dry. I just think the formula of the product is just too wet which makes it messy.

I got this in blackest black colouring and it most definitely isn't blackest black - not even close. It's not even grey. It is thin and messy and has an awful awful brush on it. I would not recommend it nor would I use it again. I used it once and have left it in my makeup draw. Spend the money on a better one, don't skimp on this one!

I was always intimidated by liquid eyeliner as it looked so messy and hard to apply. This eyeliner was the first liquid one I had ever purchased, which was quite some time ago. The packaging of mine is pink and black, so they may have changed the formula because I really like mine!

As a liquid eyeliner novice I found this was pretty easy to apply after my first few clumsy attempts. The sponge applicator is long and tapered, I find it easier using only the end of the applicator to apply the product though as I found this gave me more precision and control over the application.

The formula itself is a nice inky black. It does dry very quickly so you have to learn to move fast!

I also found it was very long-lasting without smudging, looking just as good at the end of the night as it did at the beginning. Mine was not waterproof at all though.

I tend to use my Maybelline Studio Gel Eyeliner more often now because it gives a more pigmented and dramatic effect, but I do like to use this still when wanting a cats eye flick as I know it won't budge.

This eyeliner is okay but not great so if you are looking for a great one then I wouldn't bother buying this. I found it easy to apply but I found that the black wasn't very black, bit of a watery colour and didn't last all day - smudged a bit.

Totally in love with this Eyeliner. I never leave the house without it. the brush is amazingly flexible so make for easy application.

I found this liquid liner to be quite disappointing.

The colour is definitely not intense black, and looks quite watery and faded if you're not careful. I also found that it applied quite streakily, and I sometimes had to go over it two or three times before it looked even and black. Even then, intense is not how I would describe the finish. One plus is that it does give, as described, a glossy finish which can be nice.

I find that the applicator is a bit fiddly, although I did eventually get more used to it once I'd used it for a while. The spongey applicator is fine, but it's almost too flexible, which makes it very easy for the product to flick where you don't want it to. I personally prefer the pen-style liquid liners for ease of application, so I didn't feel particularly inclined to have to spend ages being super careful with this applicator.

In terms of lasting power: while this didn't smudge once it had dried (a plus!), I did find that it was a bit prone to flaking after a few hours. This was partly due to the fact that I usually had to apply more than one layer to get an even opacity, I think.

All things added up, even though it's not expensive, I won't be repurchasing. I recently purchased the Maybelline Master Precise liquid liner, which I am loving so far, and I'd totally recommend that one over this - it's only about $5 more than this one.

My friend bought this for me as a birthday present this year due to me wanting to learn how to use a liquid liner and be able to wing it. I was so excited when I received this as a present because it was my first ever liquid eyeliner. I loved the packaging even though it is simple I just found it stands out due to it looking glossy. When I first started playing with this liner it was an amazing black but over the period of a month the formula started to get really thin and wasn't black anymore. I was quite disappointed with that. And lastly the brush tip I found that it was to flexible for me to be able to create a nice, crisp line. I did however apply it using my fine liner brush from real techniques. I wouldn't repurchase this again as it didn't impress me.

I used to use this when I was 16 and in that 'experimenting' stage with my makeup and my ever-changing looks I was forever playing around with the intensity of my eye liners. Yes, the packaging is simple and sweet, but I must say this was very messy liquid. It nearly always bled through, and the brush wasn't very on point so you really had to just pray that when applying it that it wouldn't bleed right then and there into the corners of your eyes.
