24/7 is my go-to liner everyday, yes, everyday. I own this set and also several Pervasions as my biggest fear is running out of my Urban Decay pencils. I would review all the pros and cons of this set on combi/oily skin.
All good things first:
- The package is quite simple and light, containing six beautiful pigmented pencils (see jessicakanz's great review below for more information of the shades).
- The texture of each pencils and the whole 24/7 in general is very smooth. Forget about the hard pencil you know, this is not just a pencil. it's more like gel/cream texture and it glides on just so well. I never use the pencil directly, a brush is this pencil's best friend, it can save much of the product (u dont have to sharpen the pen everytime) and it helps to create the best liners.
- The shades are pretty easy to use, they are of the darker side so it's not too hard to pull on Apathy or Ink.
However, there's just one thing this liner can't work for me. the lower lash line! It's smudge and water proof for my upper water line but every time I use the 24/7 with my lower line it doesn't stay more than 2-3 hours. my lower line might be too oily. I often fix this by using an oil free eye primer.
In general, although it doesn't work quite well with my lower lash, I still highly recommend this set and other products of this line. The price might be higher than other brands but its effects really pay off.
These are luxury in a pencil. I had been searching high and low for eye pencils that wouldn't irritate my eyes, that were super pigmented and that lasted all day. These tick every box.
This comes in a set of six - so you have six options as to what colour you would like. They are travel sized, so are smaller than a full size UD pencil. They don't come with a sharpener and aren't retractable.
Each pencil is AMAZINGLY pigmented and soft. These glide on your eyes effortlessly and without tugging or pulling. I am going to do a short review on each colour, as they are all unique.
(From the order of the set);
- West. West is a warm brown - almost copper pencil with tiny gold micro shimmers. It has a satin finish.
- Desperation. This is one of my favourites as it is so unique. It is a grey pencil with slight purple undertones. It is a matte finish
- Black Market. As the name suggests, this is a deep, deep black. It's so black Batman would wear it :D It has a super, super subtle emerald sheen to it and is a satin finish.
- Riot. This is another favourite. This is a beautiful deep purple that has purple and silver micro shimmers. It is a satin finish also.
- Apathy. An amazing, stunning green with gold micro shimmers. The finish on this is metallic.
- Ink. A super vibrant blue that has a pearl finish. This looks great under the bottom lash line.
I have had no issues with any of the pencils. All wear extremely well, cause no irritation whatsoever in my eyes and they look incredible. These have truly made me a convert to UD eyeliners, and I will absolutely purchase these again.
One last thing - these would make an incredible gift for the makeup lover in your life (or for yourself...). Because there are so many different colours, I think that anyone that likes eyeliner would be happy with these.
Tips: If you want to see swatches, google is super helpful. I highly recommend Temptalia's swatches - these helped me out when I was deciding whether to purchase these or not :)
