Not Impressed

I was really exited to receive this product and even more exited with the price point for E.L.F, but unfortunately I was very disappointed with the quality and overall performance of the setting powder. The product didn't keep my concealer in place like expected and left my face cakey and flaking. I wouldn't use this product again or recommend it.

Dud

It was crap, made the skin under my eyes look caked. it didn't help my concealer conceal if anything it make my eyes look puffier. I guess you can't expect much for $5, i haven't had much luck with any of the ELF range except the setting powder.

Waste of money

I tried this product based on some positive reviews I had read. I hoped it would brighten my under eye area and have a bit of an illuminating subtle sparkle. I tried it three times. Firstly with the brush. This was a disaster as it caked into one place and didn't spread well. I then tried my finger and patted it on. Again, not much better. I thought it aged me if anything. Not worth it.

ELF Undereye Setting Powder

I've heard good reviews on this and I was excited to find a good under-eye setting powder for this cheap. I didn't have high expectations considering the price, but was highly disappointed - this product did not work for me at all.

The product didn't apply smoothly into my skin at all, it felt super heavy and I felt like it made the fine lines under my eyes stand out a lot more than normal. I tried using it a few different times, using a brush, sponge and the brush it comes with. I appreciate the addition of a brush, but this one was very hard to use and didn't work well, caking on the product and turning my under eye makeup into a crumbly mess. I didn't have much better results when using a different brush or sponge. I didn't feel like it set my concealer very well and, when using this, my concealer didn't last anywhere near as long as when using other powders. It also made my skin look and feel very dry.

I stopped using this product after trying to make it work a few times, I didn't like the way it made my skin look or feel.

Dark circles!

I really loved the idea of this product and was really excited to give it a try. I have dark circles and wrinkles under my eyes and it did do pretty good at cover the darkness but It still creased where my wrinkles were and was a bit too sparkly for under my eyes.

What's all the hype about?

Well I'm pleased to say I was ahead of the trend with this one! Spotted it before Shaaanxo started raving about it! However, I didn't get the big deal. I did not enjoy this product! Though the powder was fine, it is loose so can be difficult to work with. It also contains fine pieces of glitter. There were mixed reviews on whether this was noticeable or not, however I found that it was. This glitter made me look like I had eyeshadow fallout unfortunately. The brush that it came with was also not suitable for applying the product. I promptly got rid of this after an unsuccessful week of usage,

Basically paying for something you already have

I bought this hoping it might set my undereyes better than a standard setting powder and honestly it gave the same results setting wise but made my undereyes look white like I had caked in some white eyeshadow under them. Did not like at all

Tips: Don't wast your money. Invest in a good quality setting powder and just use a smaller brush to do your under eyes

Wish it worked!

I had high hopes for this product when I bought it, but sadly it doesn't work for me at all! I love elf products so I was a bit disapointed. It doesn't look bad, it just doesn't look like anything at all. Not brightening for me, a lot of glitter and the packaging makes it hard to use. I am getting a tapered powder brush in the mail shortly so I will be interested if this makes a difference!

Over Hyped.

I purchased this a while back as it is such a raved about product and I figured all that hype couldn't be wrong...right? Wrong! Well for me anyhow. I purchased mine off iherb for practically nothing so I'm not too disappointed it didn't work for me.

The packaging of this product is a bit ridiculous. The brush that comes with it is sooo tiny...I'm not exactly sure how that small of brush is meant to evenly apply product and to me its pretty useless. The size of the pottle makes it very difficult to get an appropriate amount of product out and is quite difficult to use I find. The lid never seems to screw on right, which for a cheap product I would accept but when the packaging sucks and the product isn't fantastic either there is no redemption.

The powder is relatively finely milled like you would expect for a setting powder but I really dislike the look of the glitter specks that I guess are meant to help highlight the area. I just find they look like eye shadow fallout (which i try my hardest to avoid) and just bring attention to my puffy under-eyes. A lot of people seem to find this helps prevent there eye shadow from creasing but I haven't found that in my experience either.

Don't get me wrong it still sets my concealer but I just dislike the result and personally find my Natio pressed powder (which I often use to set my concealer) looks far more natural than this.

I was hoping this would be my Holy Grail setting powder like it seems to be for so many others. I will not be repurchasing this again as I have given it a good go and it has just not lived up to the hype.

Tips: I like to apply this with my Real techniques setting brush. I tap the pottle into the lid to get a small amount of product out and then swirl my brush in the lid to get the powder evenly dispersed on the brush, tap of the excess then apply to the under eye area.

Yeah! I'm sure with some products that are this hyped people just go with the general consensus that its fantastic?

I totally agree with your review! I have only had mine for a couple of weeks, so I haven't reviewed it yet, but so far I'm not impressed, which is sad since it seems to work so well for so many people!

E.L.F HD powder

This is an OK product, but like many of the e.l.f products it's over rated. I don't hate it but I doubt I would purchase this again even though it's so cheap on iHerb.

Biggest problem with this powder is it is very white and needs to brushed on and blended properly else it looks silly. The glitter isn't too noticeable and I actually like that as it makes my undereye area look much fresher and brighter than without using it. BUT the effect doesn't last all day, which is something I've found with most e.l.f stuff I have purchased.

Make sure your concealer is completely dry before putting this (or probably any setting powder) on as I didn't and had these funny streaky marks under my eyes. Looked crazy!

I think it's a good product for beginners, and if like me you wanted to try something new without dropping huge money on something.

I'm glad I tried it but will look for a different brand when I've finished this pot. Which, of course, will be forever away as you only need a very small amount of product and I can see this lasting a long time.

Tips: The packaging and brush are complete poo. Throw the brush away and put it into another container if you do purchase this.
