CoverGirl LashBlast mascara

I had high hopes for this mascara, but it's your run-of-the-mill every day kind of mascara. It's great at separating your lashes, but I felt that it didn't keep the curl of my lashes, nor was particularly volumising or thickening. I did feel that it lengthened my lashes, but the more product you put on, the more spidery the lashes get (and I seriously hate spidery lashes). Also, when you blink it sometimes gets stuck to your bottom lashes, so that's a big no from me.

Final verdict: there are much better mascaras out there for less. If you want a daily/natural-looking mascara, this is a suitable fit, but I don't recommend this product.

I was given this as a gift from my mum. I love the thickness of this mascara tube, makes it super easy to hold while applying and to find it in your handbag too ;)

I personally find this is a nice mascara for everyday use that gives a nice natural look with some length. It certainly isn't for those who want false lashes look. Love how it never clumps and separates every lash

I don't find it thickens my lashes or provides alot of extra length.

I do have to apply it several times to my lashes also as its quick a dry formula.

I wouldn't go out and buy again or reccomended to a friend as there are other options that provide more length and thickness

I was disappointed at the result from this product to be honest. I had heard that cover girl mascaras were good and judging by the name I expected this mascara to give my lashes lots of volume and make them more bold looking. However, I found this to be a very average mascara and it didn't give my lashes enough volume that I wanted. This mascara is more natural looking, giving your lashes a nice amount of volume and length.

The brush was easy to use, and I found the formula to be very smooth and had a moose like texture. This made is easy to wiggle the wand through my lashes without clumping. The mascara lasted all day without flaking or clumping. It's easy to remove as well, using my normal remover if micellar water.

Overall, I was disappointed with this product as it didn't live up to my expectations of giving my lashes lots of volume and thickness.

I used to use this mascara religiously, but after using Diorshow and MaxFactor mascaras, the flaws in this show up all too much. Though it is an ok, standard mascara it lacks what other mascaras can do so much better.

In calling it average, I did find it perfect when I wanted a "no makeup day" without going makeup free. It coated my lashes with a small amount of product, without really altering their usual appearance apart from evening out the colour. It can be built up but it does take a long time and can start to look a little spidery. The wand just doesn't seem to hold enough product on it and the short rubber bristles potentially need to be a little longer.

EDIT: I've upgraded my rating for this product. After leaving this to sit in my makeup drawer for awhile, I decided to give it another whirl, and must say I'm a bit happier with it second time around (I feel like the formula has become a bit easier to work with). Still not a HG for me, but does the trick. Seems to have less clumping the more I use it making it a bit easier to build up now. I took it to Aus with me, and it held up well in the heat too.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I feel bad writing this after reading so many positive reviews for this mascara, but it honestly didn't do it for me. I generally look for mascaras that add a bit of volume and length without being over the top. This mascara did nothing for me in terms of increasing volume and length - if anything I would say it made my lashes look shorter.

I found it quite hard to build up too, and that my lashes would clump together majorly if I applied more than one or two coats.

It did last well throughout the day though (no smudge marks!), and it's pretty good at separating out your lashes for those who prefer that look.

I think this mascara is fine if you're wanting something for a very natural look. There's been a lot of rave reviews about it, so I could be the odd one out with this one!

I got mine on sale for about $12 from Kmart so if you're on the fence about purchasing it's affordable enough to at least give a shot.

Bought this because I needed a waterproof. I don't usually use waterproof so I didn't want an expensive one, and grabbed this based on reviews. It certainly is waterproof, not a smudge in sight! But it cleanses iff easily so I was happy with that. The brush is nice and thick with heaps of bristles, similar to a Max Factor one I used not long ago, but sadly not as good. Having said that, I am comparinga $44 mascara to a $15 mmascara lol. As for thickening/lengthening etc, my lashes look lovely. There's no clumping and they separated well, no spider eyes! They're very black and thick, but I didn't get the lengthening so much. I'm okay with that because my lashes are really long so I look more for volume, but I'd be annoyed if I was after length and got this, but all in all it's a very good cheap alternative.

A good friend of mine generously bought me this after I had complimented her on her eye lashes. I actually thought she was wearing false lashes or had sneakily gotten extensions and not told me! But she told me that she was wearing this and bought it for me.

My friend has long, but thin eyelashes. Hers aren't densely packed whereas I have long and dense eyelashes.

The packaging of this mascara is really pretty. I love the colour as it makes it stand out in your makeup collection. Plus it's fun and girly.

The brush is pretty standard and easy to use. It grips your lashes well and disperses product evenly.

However, I found that with my eyelashes this made them clump hard core. After experimenting with it I decided that it must be because my lashes are super dense. This really, really does thicken your lashes - which is fantastic for those who have thin eyelashes. Unfortunately on me it made my lashes look like one giant clump :/

What I look for in a mascara is something that is going to curl and lengthen them - I don't need or want volume because my lashes look like they've been coloured in with a thick vivid haha. I don't like it when my eyelashes look like one clump as I prefer something that is going to define them a little more.

However, on my friends lashes - this genuinely looked amazing. Like I said, I thought her lashes weren't hers! I highly, highly recommend this to anyone who wants volume in their mascara.

If you don't want something that is going to make your lashes look thicker then I would skip this. However, if you do want volume then I think this is an incredible mascara and it's really affordable.

Unfortunately this didn't do what I want in a mascara so I won't purchase it.
