But Peter, how do we get to Neverland?

With this magical product Wendy! I was browsing the Lush website when I saw the words 'Fairy Dust'. Intrigued, I clicked the see more button and as soon as my eyes roamed over the words "the second star to the right and straight on til morning" I put it in my cart. I didn't even care what it was or what it did. Peter Pan is one of my favorite movies of all time, and the fact that this claimed to give me dreams of a Neverland, I had to have it. It seems silly when I think about it, because what if I hated it? Luckily I fell into a deep love.

It arrived and I squealed and danced in place. It comes in a bottle similar to the shower gel bottles and you poof the gorgeous powder out with a gentle squeeze of the bottle, or you can shake it out gently. The powder is fairy floss pink and smells like Snow Fairy (fitting, seeing it's fairy dust) and it smells like sugar and sunshine and what dreams are made of. I was in love.

The dust is laced with glitter, so if you aren't a fan of glitter I don't recommend this as you will get. It. Everywhere. This doesn't bother me at all though, as I am a glitter fiend. I sprinkle a bit into my hands and rub it onto my body, and immediately I am relaxed and the crazy train slows.

As it claims to make you have dreams that take you to Neverland, I sprinkled some on my pillow that night. I tell no lies, but I slept like a log. I woke up with glitter all over my face, but I did not care one iota. I slept like I had never slept before and I had very sweet dreams.

I have never been so in love with something before, and I'm definitely going to repurchase this. It's that sweet pick me up that you get when you don't even realize you needed one.

Glittery Dust

I love this product! I purchased the snow castle gift box and inside was a bottle of this.

Now without knowing what this product actually was and what it was used for, I jumped out of the shower dried off and placed some into my hands. Without looking, rubbed it all over my body, turned around and there I stood in the mirror shining a shiny glittery glow.

I was under the impression it was like a talcum powder but with the most amazing smell you could ever ask for. Which it sort of is, it's just laced with glitter. After covering myself and having a laugh I soon realised I was going too the Inlaws for tea like this.

The product smells AMAZING. Like a sugary Candy Floss. It's very similar too the shower gel Snow Fairy. It also reminded me of their product Pink Fun. All amazingly beautiful scents.

The fairy dust comes in a bottle like the shower gels. Pop the lid off and sprinkle gently or you will wind up with it everywhere. It would be really cool to see this come in a bottle with a lid like they have on top of talcum powders :)

Not only does it smell amazing it's Pink!!! Other than using it as an all over body shimmer for a night out, I've used this as a carpet powder! Sprinkle it over the carpets and my little one walks it in. My house smells great and my toddler loves her sparkly feet lol. After a vaccum the carpets still smell like fairy dust!

This is one of my faves from Lush

Addicted to Fairy Dust

Ok I confess, I own a few bottles of fairy dust... 3 to be precise, and one for my daughter... I know I am pandering to my inner child but I see no rule book and I adore the scent and shimmer that this magical dust brings.

Once I bought my first bottle I knew I needed more and with some words of enabling from a fellow BR babe (Shazatron you gorgeous fairy) I bought another and another... well you get the picture. Every time someone comes to my house I offer up a little fairy magic and have gotten a few more addicted to the pink shimmery snowfairy scented dust.

The bottle is the same as the shower gels (100ml size) and the cap allows you to either shake a little or squeeze (pooof) out a lot... I prefer the shake and rub to get the most out of it. My kids ask for it when they need a wee pick me up after a long week at school or scraping a knee or just for a wee special treat :D It may be a mind over matter thing but this works so well at calming the inner beasts and the sparkly shimmer glimmers away in the sunlight for hours after. It really is magical and ageless

magical fairy sprinkles!

If ever there were a product to make you feel all girly and fairy like, this is that miracle. If you don't like Snow Fairy then don't go anywhere near this - it's basically dehydrated Snow Fairy in a silky, shimmery powder base.

Lush Fairy Dust comes in the same bottle as the Snow Fairy shower gel - personally I'd love to see it in a puff bottle like the Body Shop Shimmer powders, but Lush do have a definite aestethic and the packaging is in line with that. The Electric pink label and pale pink 'dust' leave you in no doubt that this is going to be super sweet, super girly, and super pretty. I adore Snow Fairy and so I wasn't disappointed there!

Usage can be a little messy - you 'puff' the dust on and pat/rub it into your skin. It's not too bad, unless you miss - or squeeze too hard (or it's windy) but once it starts to escape it can end up everywhere very quickly. End result = a room smelling like Snow Fairy = not the end of the world!

It's shimmery but not glittery, and makes a pretty decent perfume for those super girls days. I was a bit worried that it may dry out my skin but it doesn't seem to, which is awesome. It just makes my skin seem silky, smell amazing, and application is a joy - it's like being a little kid again playing with fun products (like bath crayons - man that was fun!)

Long story short, if you're not a Snow Fairy fan, stay clear. If you are, buy buy buy! A little goes a long way though - I ended up with two after Xmas and sent one to a friend because I couldn't see myself getting through both before expiry.

Tips: a fab lil shimmer to dust along your collarbone to define the area while leaving it smelling lovely!

Ground up fairy vomit - far too sweet!!!!!

Not normally a talc powder kind of girl and if this didn't come in the Christmas gift box for Snow Fairy then I wouldn't have brought it.

Filled with a ground up powder of baby pink that is scattered amongst glitters, once applied to your skin it has this almost sticky quality that does wear off after a while to leave a fairy sparkle all over your body, which is cute, who doesn't love a bit of sparkle right.

Fragrance though is the problem with this product, from opening the lid the waft of warm, sweet almost sickening candy floss and pear drops scent assaulted my nostrils. In for a penny, I popped it on my skin nonetheless in the event that the scent mellowed on my skin, but it didn't. There is hints of strawberry but it just smells like those sugar coated strawberry laces and sherbet. If you are into these super sweet candy scents then you are going to love this. There is no way that this dust smells like a powder version of my beloved snow fairy shower gel, that is far more adult and refined in its scents.

Freaking awesome

My mini magic in a bottle is all I could have dreamed and hoped for! I was so over the moon when Trudi sent me a bottle of this! I had been trying to hunt it down and couldn't find it anywhere!

Over christmas I had been going into the body shop and using their sparkle stuff trying to convince myself into buying it. I do still love the applicator bottle and wish this came in it as well!

Anyway it's like a talc that's super fine, smells like snow fairy, adds shimmer and also soaks up sweat! Yesterday for instance it was so blinken hot, I looked like a red berry all wet after trying to clean. I went into the bedroom and puffed some of this into my armpits, over my chest and ran my hand over my forehead with some on my hand. It instantly absorbed up the wet, somehow made my skin loose that red look and made me feel all clean and lovely! It's seriously magic in a bottle!

I can honestly say I'll keep buying this. I'd love to find something like the body shop to apply it with so you don't poof to much by accident. I love how the scent stays all day as well.

It doesn't react with my skin and totally doesn't dry it out either. It's like fairy magic!

Works its wonderful magic <3

I had received one of these in a Lush gift box a while ago, I must say how beautiful the dust looks inside. I wasn't entirely sure how to use this until I flicked the lid and gave it a smell, the whiff of Snow fairy in a powdered form is such a wonderful experience! I had never tried the Lush powders before so I was very excited to use this.

The shimmery powder is very very fine and it has tiny flecks of glitter all through it. You only need a small amount to apply to your skin but it is hard not to use a lot because it looks and smells divine.

My daughter loves this the most. After her bath at night she sprinkles herself with this magical Fairy dust and she says it gives her good fairy dreams, so now it is in her routine to use this before bed.

I like to sprinkle this on my chest to give it an extra shimmer and on my arms. Between my daughter and me, we love this so much.

I will be purchasing this again.

Tips: My daughter likes to use this before she goes to bed, it makes bath times more fun especially afterwards when she sprinkles her self with fairy dust :)

More than a light sparkle!

I'm a Lush newbie and was gifted a Snow Fairy box for Christmas by my hubby.

I used my Fairy Dust for the first time by sprinkling a little onto my fingers, rubbing my hands together and spreading it over my chest and arms but I think I underestimated the amount of glitter in there, as my chest and collarbone had some serious twinkle going on. I looked like I belonged as an extra on one of the "Twilight" movies. Lol!

I came out the bathroom and hubby asked "What's with the stripper glitter?", so I thanked him and told him it was the powder that HE bought me for Christmas and that provided a good chuckle and led to him calling me "Sparkles" all morning. Haha.

So, what's the best way to apply Fairy Dust? Well, the instructions say to apply a little using fingertips (and that didn't work too well for me), others choose to squeeze the plastic flip top bottle to create a Fairy Dust cloud to walk through and then there are those who multi-task with it and use it as a body powder on a powder puff, use it as a facial highlighter or even a room fragrancer (by sprinkling some on the carpet before vacuuming).

Personally, I experimented with with an old powder brush that I'd replaced and used the brush to apply a very light dusting of the pale pink powder to my body. This worked so much better than using my hands. I ended up with the wonderful, sweet scent of Fairy Dust and just a light shimmer on my décolleté, collarbone and shoulders instead of being very glittery and sparkly.

Would I buy another bottle of Fairy Dust? Probably not. Don't get me wrong, I love the smell and I love the fine powder, I'm just not a fan of that much glitter and it seems like the amount of glitter seems to vary from one batch to another. If Lush did a glitter-free version, I'd definitely consider it (but then it would't really be Fairy Dust, would it?).

Tips: Apply extremely sparingly, otherwise the glitter can be overpowering

A Little Sparkle

I got the Fairy Dust with a bottle of Snow Fairy Shower Gel, because how could I not? I was sold at the words Fairy Dust.

Fairy Dust is a light pink shimmery powder with very fine glitter in it. It is a dusting powder to make your body shimmer and I also use it on my cheeks.

I was a bit disappointed, my bottle wasn't that glittery and I had to use a lot to create much of an effect, so as far as shimmery results go not the best.

The smell however is a true powdery version of snow fairy and just like the shower gel it can be a a lovely pick me up.

The packaging can be recycled and the tops recycled at your local Lush.

I might repurchase. I'll decide when I finish the bottle.

Cloud of sweetness

When I was in Lush one of the Lush girls was secretly sprinkling this on her workmate, and the smell hit me. I love all the sweet smells from Lush. Snow Fairy is my favourite, I have to stock up so that I don't have to miss that smell!

Fairy Dust is a beautiful scented, sparkling powder that I think is designed to be used like talc. The packaging is the same as the bottle that the shower gels come in - which is a little awkward for a powder... "It's not coming out...i'ts not coming out...it's EVERYWHERE" was my sons exclamation as he wanted to try it.

It's great for those hot days to just pop down your cleavage, maybe TMI, but nobody likes boob sweat ;) My favourite use though has been in my drawers. I still line my drawers, but this time when I replaced it I sprinkled some fairy dust down first. My clothes come out smelling lovely, its great!

This will be a definite repurchase for me, would love to try the other scents too - but different packaging would make it much easier.

Tips: Squeeze lightly unless you want a shower of shimmer and scent...which isn't really bad at all!
