An absolutey great idea if you want to perk up your hair on those inbetween wash days also great to flatten any flyaway you may have. On me I found the dry shampoo left my hair feeling oily and I ended up fiddling with it all day. It made it feel gluggy. I dont think it smelt which was the problem i worry about if I leave it for a day but I didnt like how my hair felt heavy and as I have thick hair it was not a very pleasant experience.

I bought this dry shampoo in the coconut/tropical fragrance and it was my first ever dry shampoo! It does stop your hair from being oily but it also makes your hair overly white! The white powdery substance is just too much for my hair! I always used to think i had brushed it all out but then i would have people point out that i have white in my hair throughout the day! Not good! Because this was my first dry shampoo i thought perhaps all dry shampoos did this but when i purchased a VO5 one i realised that it was sooo much better! Just not overly happy with this product! :(
Tips: Try Vo5 Refresh Dry shampoo, It works well and smells good! Plus no white powder!
I hate to mark a product down unfairly but this product just doesn't seem to work with my hair. I have tried maybe six times to use this, I even still have this product in my desk drawer for emergencies but.. It just seems it either leaves me with white hair, or dirtier feeling hair or looking like I have dandruff. It smells pleasant, and the concept is awesome, who wouldn't want a back up plan for heading out and you have greasy oily lank hair. But I can't honestly say this product works for me, because it doesn't. It seems to make it worse. Sigh. I wish it didn't! Maybe another brand?
Tips: Learn how to use it, or do a tester before you buy. May not work on all hair types?
Good at taking away greasy hair but leaves your hair lighter as is white. Can be quite heavy and sticks to your scalp, seems to make my fringe greaser the next day even if hair is washed. More expensive dry shampoos better
I've used this dry shampoo as a replacement for one I purchased in the UK which is not available in NZ. The original scent is nice, price point excellent, but the shampoo leaves sooo much white residue you have to be really careful how you use it, otherwise as a natural sandy blond I look like I'm going grey! It does soak up some of the oiliness from my hair but I cant use it the way I would like.
They do have a blond version, I think I will try this next time unless I can find an equally affordable invisible shampoo - there is a hole in the market for this in NZ!
Tips: I would go for the blonde toned spray next time. Lift up your hair and spray underneath to hide the white patches if using the original!
It definitely worked to make my hair appear less greasy, and to get me through until I could wash it the following day. However, it did make my scalp burny and itchy - I wouldn’t say I have a sensitive scalp. I think I would prefer not to use it for this reason.
I absolutely loved this product until I found out they use cancer causing chemicals.... Very disappointing.
Tips: Do not recommend
I really was not impressed with Batiste, maybe my hopes were too high!? For a dry shampoo I found it was not very useful and it ran out very quickly! I never let my hair get overly greasy but sometimes it needs a little something to last till the next shower and I think I'll stick to talcum powder. Batiste Tropical smelt nice and gave a bit more body but it did not really make my hair refreshed when it got a little oily.
This product left my hair feeling almost dusty. Although it no longer felt greasy or unclean, the dusty residue it left behind wasnt nice either.
Am I the only one who can't stand dry shampoo? I think it may have something to do with having quite dry hair already but even when I haven't shampooed in a few days this just doesn't work for me!
I bought my first can of Batiste when I went to Rarotonga early last year as I was expecting humidity & didn't really plan on spending a lot of time washing my hair.
First of all - the fragrance, it's awful! To me it smells "off" and I really don't like it (I've tried the tropical scent and the glam gold glitter). It makes my hair feel terrible, really dry and hard & it becomes so difficult to run my comb through.
Overall I've come to think that maybe dry shampoo just isn't for me!
Tips: Stay away from dry shampoo if you have light, dry & processed hair
