MAC Lipstick Review

I have a bunch of MAC lipsticks and I'm happy with all of them. The matte shades tend to be a little bit drying but nothing you can't work around. The colour range is great. They're pretty expensive in NZ but they are worth it I think.

I got the shade Snob as a Christmas present from a friend and I have to say I'm in love with it. If I don't want a bright lip, this my second go-to lipstick to make me feel beautiful. The staying power is wonderful, the pigment is insanely intense, they're super creamy and overall just the best lipstick I've ever owned. I definitely will treat myself to more colours (fingers crossed that I can find Brave sometime soon). Oh and they smell like vanilla, who doesn't love the smell of vanilla?

Update: I have Brave, a nude from the Cinderella collection, Viva Glam Miley AND Dew. Safe to say they're all incredible.

I have recently come to love this brand of lipstick! I love how the lipstick is extremely creamy and almost butter like to put on. It is very pigmented and lasts a great amount of time. MAC has a great variety of colour and finishes. My favourite would have to be the Satin or Cremesheen finish so smooth and hydrating on the lips. Would 100 times over recommend this product to all my family and friends! Can't wait to complete my collection!

these are some of my favourite lipsticks. They have a great range of finishes and colours, my favourite are definitely the satins, retro mattes and mattes. I have quite a few of these and my top three would be all fired up, twig and kinda sexy. The matte formula is slightly drying but it makes up for it in longevity. These lipsticks are definitely iconic.

These are iconic for a reason! I love MAC lippies. They last forever on my lips and the colours are gorgeous. I feel luxurious when I wear them. I only have 2 and that is down to price and price alone. I have to choose very carefully because that is a lot to pay for one lippie. I own Impassioned which is a pretty neon watermelon and Sushi Kiss which is a bright peachy coral. I grab for Sushi Kiss more often and I love it. I also love the smell of MAC lipsticks, that slight vanilla type scent. Can't go wrong with a MAC lipstick!!

I have two MAC lipsticks at the moment - Vegas Volt (amplified creme), a 'full powered coral' and Rebel, (satin), a 'midtonal cream plum'. I have these two as I love coral/orange lips on me (I have olive skin), and I wanted something more dramatic and Rebel seems to look gorgeous on everyone.

Application is easy, I apply straight from the bullet. I don't usually line my lips, but layering Rebel with a darker lipliner really amps up and darkens the colour.

Vegas Volt lasts well on me, though not as well as Rebel, which lasts all night without a touch up if necessary, providing it is blotted first. It can be a little drying though. I would reapplying after eating however.

In short, the shade range is unbeatable, with great varied finishes and I intend to add to my collection very soon.

MAC lipsticks. Come to mama!!!! I have a very small collection at the moment, mainly made up of very bright colours but I hope to expand in the near future. Jesus they're so pigmented and last aaaages on my lips. Even when I'm eating, while the top layer will come off there is still some colour on my lips. It fades very gracefully too which I'm always thankful for since I'm lazy and I can never be bothered to touch up. The different finishes are great and the varieties of colour offered by MAC is unbelievable. No actually it is believable because it's MAC. My favourite finishes are Amplified and Cremesheen

Little bit pricey, but the fact that you can get a free one when returning six empty MAC containers? Quite reasonable if you use other MAC products as well. The lipsticks that you can claim on the return of your empty containers are great staples for your collection so it's well worth it.

In terms of staying power/pigmentation and range of colours MAC is by far my favourite, I currently own; Girl Next Door, Ruby Woo, Rihanna 2, Up the Amp, Fanfare, Creme Cup, Royal Ball, and Cyber.

MAC definitely has the best colour range, however their matte collection, while it lasts fantastically, it is incredibly drying on the lips! i had dry lips for a few days afterwards...not worth it! Unfortunately their 'cult' colours, the really amazing shades like ruby woo, lady danger etc only come in matte, and not in their other collections!
