I love my MAC Lipstick, it is such a perfect colour for my skin and it really helps me make a statement as my skin is so fair. It is often easy for me to look washed out, however when I use my beautifully creamy, bright and easy to apply MAC Lipstick I look more vibrant and alive. I love to wear this out during the day and at night on the town!! The price of this product is quite steep however I see it as a good investment.

Tips: Apply it slowly because it can be easy to smudge.
Unfortunately MAC lipsticks just don't work out on my lips, for some reason! I've tried all the formulas and they end up looking dry and peeling in only minutes after applying. I know this is just bad luck for me though, and as so many other people have no problem with them it's definitely not something wrong with the product!
There are so many different colours and formulas that it's no wonder MAC are so well known for their lipsticks. Colours like Morange and St Germain are iconic for being so bright and unique. MAC do so many gorgeous reds (Ruby Woo, Russian Red, Lady Danger for example) and heaps of great nudes too (Myth, Snob, Pure Zen).
Tips: Try before you buy, just in case!
MAC has an aura of quality and uniqueness. It would be easy to get sucked in by the name and not shop around for products that are equally as good. I have a few MAC lipsticks, but these were chosen for the colours, not the quality. MAC is often the first to release 'new' and unique colours and this has had me rushing out to purchase them in the past. However, in order to avoid the hefty price tag, a bit of research will enable you to find dupes at less than half the price. I have the MAC Saint Germain and LimeCrime Great Pink Planet lipsticks which are both very similar pinks, and I prefer the LimeCrime formula. It is less drying, longer lasting and doesn't peel. It is also cheaper! I don't mind paying for quality, but if I'm investing in a good quality lipstick I would now choose Lancome over MAC.
Tips: Do some research online and you will find cheaper alternatives to the MAC lipstick colours.
I love the assortment of Mac lipsticks, and I purchased Ruby Woo which is the ultimate perfect red lipstick IMO. The only gripe I have with this matte MAC lipstick was that it was very drying.
Tips: Use a moisturising lipbalm before applying matte MAC lipsticks
So I can say I love some cream in my coffee and now I am in love with this lipstick, goes with everything I can wear this day to night and can go without reapplying from 9am which is perfect for me as I don't get time to reapply makeup between jobs.
Tips: Invest in a good makeup remover as they do stay on well.
I love the colour and packaging of this lipstick, it's long lasting on my lips although as with a lot of lipsticks from the Mac range this can become drying after sometime but for me the colour is just too beautiful for me to want to give it up so I make do by adding a thin layer of lip balm over the top.
Tips: Make sure you have exfoliated your lips well.
Now I don't often buy mac - or actually at all. I have 2 shades from Mac and that was before I knew they did animal testing.
I'm trying to sound like a downer but Mac is a company that is completely ignorant to animal cruelty and have and will continue with animal testing despite the protests.
Also the prices for these lipsticks in NZ are crazy high. For $40 I could buy 3-4 lipsticks with the same quality from another brand.
So I think the love for MAC really goes down to your loyalty and preference.
Honestly I can't say that the formula is any different to the lipsticks Ive spent $20 on.
Yes the formula is incredible, with amazing staying power. It lasts on my lips for a full day, and needs only the tiniest touch up after eating and drinking - totally pleased with that staying power. I also love that they are very opaque and non drying. With Mac I don't feel like I need to constantly reapply lip balm so that my lips don't chap.
They are really smooth consistency and even smell really really good too.
I think the main thing that draws me into Max, and that I would consider looking at Mac twice is that wonderful, stylish, chic, durable packaging. Honestly you can't go wrong. It's a classic. Like a Chanel perfume bottle.
Honestly while I do love it, every single time, I've been able to find a dupe of a colour I love in a more affordable - not animal testing brand. So unless a magical thing happens, or they come out with a collection where I would kill for the packaging I would not be buying Mac.
Mac lipstick i find very debatable whether this product is good or not. Mac has a good range of colors for their lipsticks and they are definitely good, however you can buy the same color from somewhere else for half of the costs! not to mention mac lipstick comes off quite easy. the lipstick itself though is very easy to wear and isnt too thick which is good.It is nice on your lips. I just find this product very pricey
I first received a Mac lipstick on Christmas , Ruby Woo was name. Immediately I fell in love , it was hassle free when applying the product to my lips. The colour was long lasting, flawless and the smell is so amazing. Only down side is I heard they test on animals not sure if that's true, but I prefer cruelty free products more so Ruby woo is my last Mac lipstick I'm ever going to have. Mac lipsticks are a good quailty product though, but are extremely costly.
Love the large range of shades that Mac lipstick have to offer. They glide on nice and smoothly and have a nice creamy texture. They are very wearable and long lasting but a bit pricey
