Clean skin - Must have

I received the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water as part of a trial and was super excited to try it.

It is a big 400ml clear plastic bottle with pink lid and label. It is attractive and with a price of $13 affordable and long lasting. The bottle states that you get an average of 200 uses out of one bottle. Cant complain here!

The cleansing water has no particular smell. As stated on the bottle I put a little bit of the cleasning water on a cotton pad and gently wiped my whole face. I was very impressed how gentle it was and how effective it took all my make up off. Even waterproof mascara came off without problems. The skin feels amazingly fresh afterwords without feeling dry.

I especially liked that you dont need a lot of the product so it goes a long way. I will definitly recommend this to my friends and it will be one of my new bathroom must have!

Wonder Water

Wonderful product. Have mostly used this for taking makeup off before cleansing and it does the job. I have also used it for eye makeup smudge fixes and to quickly clean makeup brushes. It's a versatile product. Doesn't irritate my skin either and makes it feel cool and tingly.

Just what I've been looking for!

I was really excited when I heard about this product, and even more excited when I was selected to trial it! Like all new 'revolutionary' products I had high expectations but also geared myself up for the possibility that it just may not live up to claims. Because the bottle is clear and the product itself looks just like water it gives the impression of being very clean and natural. I really like the use of the pinks used on the lid and for the writing on the bottle, it makes it feel very girly and feminine. Because the product is such a watery consistency I worried that too much would pour out when I overturned the bottle, but the lid made it really easy to control the amount that came out and one gentle squeeze dispensed the right amount I needed. When using a cotton pad to clean my face with the product, it felt literally like water, even when cleaning around my eyes the product was so gentle and did not sting at all. I was really impressed with how easily all my make up wiped off my face, even my waterproof mascara came straight off without smudging or leaving anything behind. Afterwards my face felt very clean and fresh, my skin didn't feel as soft as it does after my usual cleanser because there is no moisturiser in it, but removed my make up so much better. I also had to use such a small amount of product that the bottle will last a long time.

Tips: Use at the end of the day to remove make up and cleanse your face then apply a night cream for mouisturisation.

The Best I've Tried

I've tried a number of different makeup removers and found this one to work best for me. I have sensitive, acne prone skin and always find using new products tends to make my skin breakout. This wasn't the case when trying the micellar cleansing water. To be honest, after watching/reading heaps of reviews raving about this product, I was quite eager to give it a go. I wasn't let down either, it really is great at removing all my eye makeup and lipstick which I usually have the hardest time with when using other products. I also like that the scent is mild and that when removing my lip products, it doesn't taste like I've swallowed a bar of soap! It's really easy and gentle on your skin, I highly recommend you try it.

It's great for touching up any mistakes you make when doing winged eyeliner lol. The lid is the perfect size for wetting a cotton bud when you need to wipe off a little bit of stray eyeliner.

Definitely a good price point for the amount you get too, nice to know you don't have to spend an arm and a leg for things to be of good, decent quality!

Best Make Up Remover... In The Wooorld (orld orld)

Generally, I use a separate make up remover to remove my eye make up. But over the weekend, while I was travelling, this was put to the test. And it passed.

I used to take off my eye make up, use a make up wipe for my face, cleanse my face with Cetaphil and then while I was toning, my cotton ball would come away with make up on it. I didn't care at the time, because hey, at least the toner was taking my make up off.

Now it's a whole new story. I use these big cotton rounds from KMart for both my eye make up remover and this Micellar Water (or just the water). One side of the pad for each eye, then both sides of the pad to do my whole face. Once I get to toning time, THERE IS NO MAKE UP ON MY FACE. NONE. At all. Once my Neutrogena eye make up remover runs out I think I'll just be using this for everything, because with that I'd sometimes still have panda eyes the next day, with this, I didn't. I love this stuff, at first I thought it was expensive, but I think this bottle will last me a really really long time. I love it! I really do.

Tips: Pour some into a container when you're travelling, this huge bottle takes up a TON of space!

Actually good

This product finally after years took me away from my trusted jonsons make up remover wipes. I used this on a cotton pad. I deff recommend to cleanse with a gently cleanser after but this is great for removing even water proof eye makeup and 48 hour foundation. I really need to use this again as it saves $$ on wipes

Greasy

I really enjoyed how well the micellar water took my make up off especially eye makeup. However I did find that if I didn't wash my face afterwards I would break out as it left a greasy residue. I still use it to remove eye make up and stubborn lipstick but wash away the residue once done

Works wonderfully

At the moment I'm going through treatment for acne and sensitive skin but I'm not ready to give up wearing make up during the weekend. I love Neutrogena night calming make up removal pads; a few weeks ago I desperately needed some but they ran out at the supermarket. I purchased Garnier Micellar water instead. I love it. It does what it says and doesn't irritate my skin. I now use both products on different days. It's very difficult to find a suitable make up removing product but this one seems to be very good so far.

Don't believe the hype!

It seems the BR world is divided into people who love this and people who don't. I really wanted to love this but....I just.....can't. I bought this at the height of its hype and was really excited to get the last bottle hidden away on the bottom supermarket shelf. I find the clear bottle with its pink lid attractive and the amount you get represents good value for money. It contains a clear, almost odourless liquid that does bubble up if you give it a shake.

Ok, so before we get started, let me make this clear. I am devoted to hot cloth cleansing with a thick, oily cleanser. So micellar was probably never going to be a good fit for me but I tried to go in with an open mind. What I found was that I had to soak a lot of cotton wool with a lot of the micellar to get all my makeup off. It took at least five before they came away clean. I didn't rinse if off the first few times I used it and after a few minutes I got the weirdest sensation on my skin. Not burning or tingling but bubbling. Weird (and I wouldn't describe my skin as sensitive) One time I didn't apply moisturiser straight away and my skin went very red. After that, I rinsed after use and my skin did feel clean and soft. However, this is when I decided micellar was not for me. It just seemed like a lot more time and faff involved than my usual HCC and with not great results. Really, it's no better than the dreaded face wipe (don't get me started on those!)

As this only has a six month shelf life, I don't want to waste it so I use it when I'm away. I've decanted it into a smaller bottle with no spillage disasters. Sadly, it won't remove my latest mascara so I'm back to finding another use for it. A few on the forum say it makes a good brush cleaner so I'm going to give that a go next.

Disappointing but I know many swear by it, it's just not for me.

Tips: What I do find this good for is removing long lasting or very pigmented lipstick. Soak a cotton pad with it and hold to you lips for a few seconds and it's all gone!

It was such a weird sensation on my skin, which is not sensitive. I would be very wary of it with sensitive skin. See if you can somehow try some before you buy it. I'm glad you found the review helpful!

Sound like one of those products that you want to love but just cant. I enjoyed reading this review. I have sensitive skin so I wonder how this would feel on mine.

Best one so far!

I first started using Miceller waters many many years ago, I was using a french brands one, very expensive, did an amazing job but stung my eyes. Then FINALLY the drugstore brands starting bringing these out! hallelujah! Of all the ones I've tried, the garnier one is by far the best, genuinely. It does such a good job at getting every bit of makeup off, it's SO good for those lazy nights when you're too exhausted to cleanse your face properly at the sink, as this is a rinseless cleanser. It doesn't leave your skin feeling oily or dry after either, just feels like skin again. It's gentle on the eyes but still gets even long wear makeup off. I also like using it in the morning as a refresher. It's gentle enough for sensitive skin but strong enough to do the job. Fantastic packaging, affordable price, and now comes in a mini size too, I noticed. I honestly cannot speak highly enough of this product, it's quickly become one of my favourite skincare products of all time. Truly.
