Garnier BB Cream All-In-One Perfector Classic SPF 15

I love me a good bb cream, and this one does just what anyone would want it to do. It gives your natural skin a little pick me up without looking like you are wearing any makeup. It isn't full coverage but I don't expect that from a bb cream but you can easily apply more to get more coverage.

It blends your skin and dulls any blemishes without drying out your skin. Having spf in it is also amazing especially if you are like me and sometimes are in a rush to get the kids out the door and forget to apply your own sunscreen.

It applies really nicely and may seem a little darker for your skin tone when you first apply it but it blends in perfectly once you spread it out a bit.

Perfect for those days where you don't want makeup but need a little something, leaves a dewy look so if you aren't into dewy a little powder on top would help that out. Seems to last pretty much all day. And hasn't broken me out which I sometimes find these products can do. Overall this is a product I will be buying again.

I received the medium BB Cream All-In-One Perfector to trial. Before even using the product, the new packaging caught my eye. The cardboard tube is made with 49% less plastic and a 100% recyclable cardboard box. It is so awesome to see Garnier making their BB Cream packaging more environmentally sustainable.

The product itself is similar in texture compared to the previous Garnier BB cream however, I found that this has more coverage. Your skin still looks like skin, but I found that this has better coverage on my acne scars. It is hydrating and makes my skin feel soft. It lasts all day and there is little transfer when I wear my face mask. The formula is super lightweight and it does not feel like you are wearing anything on your skin.

The medium shade matches me perfectly in the summertime however, this would be too dark on me in the winter and the light shade would not match me either. My only downfall with this product is that there are not currently a variety of shades that match all skin tones.

I was super excited to try this BB cream, as I had tried tinted moisturizers in the past but were all too dark for my skin tone. This Garnier BB cream comes out looking pretty dark, but blended well into my skin making it look smooth and flawless. I like the low coverage look so didn't use too much. The smell isn't overbearing, actually quite nice and mellow. And it doesn't feel heavy on my face. Compared to a foundation, this is more smooth and creamy and doesn't leave that dry looking effect. It definitely helps to cover up any red blemishes on the skin too, so I will define continue to use.

I quite like how this cream is light and easy to spread and gives a nice coverage. I am using this as day hydrating cream, after cleansing and my face would glow! I think this is perfect if you are looking for a light coverage, it won't feel dry like other creams. When using this, it lasted all day, didn't rub off and easy to clean at the end of the day. As an avid user of Garnier BB cream, I was concerned the new products may not live up to the classics. Doing away with some of their other BB creams had me nervous, what if I need one of them?! However, to my delight the new formulas are as good, maybe better, than the old. I usually use the anti-aging version and received the classic to review, in medium shade. It claims to be a perfecting all-in-one beauty balm cream, and is applied like a regular moisturiser. It contains hyaluronic acid and mineral pigments, and is spf15. I wish I still had my old tube to compare it with, but this one smelled more like sunscreen to me than the previous, which, I don’t know why, always reminded me of tea! If anything though, this is a good sign. One time while using it I got a smidge in my eye, and you know a product has sunscreen in it by that sting! So, bearing that in mind when you apply it, it goes on smoothly and seems quite thin in consistency, but this is good because you can easily build it to a fuller coverage without any streaking or those pesky linty bits rolling up on your face. I bought a tube of the anti-aging formula in the new tube too, just so I could compare the two. Previously I’d always used the anti-aging formula, but now I may have been convinced to switch to the regular, because it seems to suit my skin much better. I’m not sure if it’s less greasy, or something else, but it goes on smoother and stays on my skin for longer. It claims to even, correct, and illuminate, and I have some very dark patches on my face in a few areas and it does help to blend them in, this evening them out. I have also received so many compliments now saying my skin is glowing! I didn’t think there would be much difference between this and the previous one I was using, but apparently there is! My skin feels great too, I really think the ingredients are beneficial to my skin and it does not cause me breakouts. It also claims to hydrate for 24 hours. I always remove it at bedtime and I wear hyaluronic acid and a moisturiser underneath usually, so I can’t say for sure, but my skin does feel moisturised, and this bb cream definitely is not drying. When I remove it at night there is plenty of bb cream cheese on the cotton pad, showing just how much lasts throughout the day, even on the hot sweaty ones. I just remove it using micellar water. As someone who is not a fan of, and doesn’t have time for a full foundation as a busy working and studying mum, this is perfect to be able to literally wipe on in the morning and feel I have a make up look without makeup. It gives me a fresh, healthy glow without the effort of several products. Not suitable if you want more coverage or a matte look, but works well underneath foundation too. It is reasonably priced at around the $17 mark, but is frequently on special for around $10-12. This is a must have for me.

The new tube packaging has 49% less plastic used which is always great. Even though the tube is sort of cardboardy it is still really solid. The lid is easy to open and clicks closed snugly.

The cream has SPF which is great if you've forgotten the sunscreen. I don't bother using brushes to apply the product, just squeeze some on my fingertips and apply like a moisturiser. The coverage is really good, and definitely evens out the skin tone.

The only drawback I found with this one was I couldn't use my moisturiser beforehand. I normally use a hyaluronic acid and then moisturiser before applying my foundation - when I did that using the BB cream for the first few days I found my skin was really oily and started to break out. I tried without the hyaluronic acid, and it was better but still too rich for my skin, so now I just use the BB cream without any moisturiser and it seems to be the best fit for me.

First off, I’m not a daily foundation, BB cream wearer. The packaging on this cream is made using 49% less plastic than previous versions (woohoo!) and the tube itself is cardboard. But don’t let that fool you, it feels sturdy enough to last the duration of the product. There is a light scent from the product, not overpowering or offensive, just a light sort of floral scent. I found this cream incredibly easy to apply, just apply as you would mosturiser and it just glides on. It was silky smooth and gave a good, light, even coverage. It did not feel at all heavy throughout the day nor did I feel it was ‘slipping’. Light and invisible all day. I also required less product than I had expected, so the tube will last a good while. Another big seller for me was the SPF15, anything with an SPF base is getting extra points from me. I have tried the Combination/Oily skin version of this product and found that around 3pm my skin was starting to feel a bit dry, I did not get that with this Classic version. I did start to get a couple of breakouts after a few days of use, but given my skin is not used to having any sort of coverage, this is not surprising. I will definitely continue to use this product, I was very happy with the amount of coverage it provided without weighing me down.

Thanks BR for the opportunity to try this new formula. I’ve used BB Creams on and off for a while now but I’ve always found they make me look like a shiny mess after an hour or so and for the amount of coverage it’s not really been worth it. This product has much more coverage than I expected I would say more like a light foundation. While it is very hydrating it wears beautifully on my combination skin. I use it over a 50 spf and then powder it down and it lasts at least 5-6 hours without powder touch ups. It’s summer and it’s even staying put on my sweaty face. My favourite thing (and one that’s fairly new to us all) is that is doesn’t transfer onto my masks. I’ve tried it with a basic cotton one and a satin one and they’re completely unmarked when I removed them. I was sent the medium shade and luckily I have a bit of colour at the moment or it would be too dark. I bought my teenage daughter the “light” shade and while she is very pale it was beyond too dark for her. I do wish there were more shades available otherwise it would have been 5 stars all the way. I will be able to use the light one in winter and I’m really excited about having another base (foundation/BB Cream) to add to my collection.

I was really excited to trial this product as I haven't been a regular BB cream wearer since high school. This product is super smooth to apply and spreads well while still maintaining good coverage. It doesn't dry out my skin the way more traditional makeup does and it gives a healthy looking glow - an essential summer product in my books! I have not noticed any creasing and the product seems to last all day. The scent is pleasant and not too overpowering.

I do think the "eco" packaging is a bit deceiving - it's great that it uses less plastic, but by combining plastic with cardboard it means it cannot be recycled, like tubes made only of plastic generally can. And although any SPF is better than none, higher than SPF 15 would be better for the NZ sun.

I would recommend this product to anyone like me who doesn't usually have the time to put makeup on everyday - it evens your skin tone and gives a nice glow in under a minute. It is also an ideal product for a day at the beach - this BB cream actually goes on fine over a layer sunblock. I will definitely buying this product again myself if I run out before the end of summer!

When I opened the box, the first thing I noticed about the new Garnier BB cream was in smaller tube, but don't let this fool you! You only need a small amount and a little goes a long way. I would normally use a heavy foundation every day as I need the coverage for my pigmented skin and BB creams I have used in the past did not achieve this, but this one gave me excellent coverage without the cakiness off the 'normal' foundation. I like the fact it has an spf15, a lovely light fragrance and it lasts all day. My new fave!
