Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Toning Shampoo Review

I bought this shampoo based off the reviews below and friend recommendations. I checked out reviews for Lee Statford and John Frieda's purple shampoo's too as well as a few brands not on this site. Out of every review I looked at (and there were lots) this shampoo was the only one that had no negative reviews.

As a shampoo it doesn't tangle like other shampoo's are known to do and it does take out yellow tones, but it only lasts a day or two then I have to do it all over again.

Two things that a lot of people talk about is it turning your hair purple and the smell.

I think the smell is ok, but not amazing.

The purple hair however I have experimented with. I was very careful to only have the shampoo in for about 5 minutes when I first got the shampoo, but the effect didn't last long. So I have experimented with having the shampoo in for up to 4 hours. At 4 hours the whitest blond hairs get a very light lavender tinge, otherwise it stays blonde.

Because the cheapest I could find this shampoo for was $23, I think next time I would consider trying a cheaper shampoo in comparision, but this one does do the job.

I use this product once a week and have been using it for the past year or so it works very we'll as I like toning my hair to a light gray colour but sometimes I seem to leave it in for to long and by the time I go to the hair dresses I Have a very purple band on the back of my head! I am in love with this product, it is perfect for toning unwanted yellow and brassy tones. It also smells amazing and I feel like it makes my hair nice and soft, whereas when I have used other purple shampoos they have left my hair very tangled and dry. The only possible downside to this product as it can stain you hair purple slightly, but I like that. Some people may not like it but I think the hint of purple is really nice and it washes out fast anyway. Really good value for money and lasts forever!

I am no longer blonde, but when i was this was the only toning shampoo that showed results almost instantly. i reccomend this product to everyone wanting to tone their hair. Be careful not to leave it in too long though, because you will have a bright purple scalp

This product makes my unwanted yellow highlights turn a nice ash blonde. I have tried other purple shampoos and nothing seems to work/stick to my hair apart from Fudge Clean Blonde. It also has a nice clean smell and lathers really well, so you get an even application. The product lasts a long time because I only use it once or twice a week.I paid $22 this time, which I think is a bit pricey, next time I will shop around for a sale. Another negative would be it leaves my hands and cuticles a tinge of purple so need to make sure I scrub my hands red raw before getting out. (Any tips would be appreciated)

This is my favourite shampoo to maintain my blonde. I change my hair colour often and my hair throws a lot of yellow so when I am blonde I need something that works well to keep it grey/ashy. This definitely works well and I always recommend to friends!

I'm a poor student with naturally dirty blonde hair, but this is wow amazing! I can only afford to get my hair done every 4-6 months, and this shampoo keeps my hair looking fresh and natural for as long as possible! It also helps give my regrowth a natural look, so it doesn't look too trashy when I can't afford to get it touched up! I highly recommend this shampoo! It far surpasses any other toning shampoo I have used!

This product is really strong and works well!! the best out i think. smells amazing and makes my hair so soft! definatly dont stress about it dying your hands purple, that will be gone by the time you are out the shower and dried!

I have used this product for well over 2 years, once a week. It's fantastic! The purple is dark and tones out those yellow colours after one wash.

I don't find that it is overly drying but i do use a treatment conditioner afterwards. I figure 5 minutes of the purple shampoo followed by a 5 minute treatment for brilliant hair is a small price to pay!

So as you can see I absolutely love this product. As someone who fluctuates between light and dark hair. I often have to deal with brassy tones when i go back to blonde. This shampoo has completely eliminated the yellow tones leaving my blondes as 'white' as I like them. As a bonus It smells amazing and leaves my hair feeling soft and easy to manage.
