I purchased the e.l.f Brow Kit from Kmart after reading rave reviews for quite some time. I had heard that this was the 'go-to' kit for affordability and great product.
I have been somewhat impressed, however I think reading hundreds of positive reviews and hearing that this kit was 'holy grail' may have been the trigger that left me a little underwhelmed.
The brow kit is housed in a plastic container with a wax on one side and a powder on the other. It also includes a little brush with a slanted edge and a small bristle brush on the other. I found the brush to be really handy, small, but useful! The powder is fairly average and I have used it only occasionally. The wax however is really good and matched my eyebrows so well. The wax filled in my eyebrows well and made them look very natural!
I have found that I prefer to use an eyebrow pencil and wiz - this may be a personal preference, but I find that this makes my brows look better and is easier to use than brow kits.
Overall I think the e.l.f kit is a great kit for its price but the application of it is not really my preference. For $10 what have you got to loose. If you can manage to see it on the shelf at Kmart give it a go!
Well..... I brought the Medium , I have light to medium brown brows with blonde tips and was using my Jordana Brow Powder in Brown which was really warming for my face. A beautiful light Chocolate colour. I'm a porcelain in foundations.
But this Medium Elf Brow Kit seems to dark... and I feel like it makes my brows stand out waaaay more than I am used too...
It's appliication is awesome , I cannot fault this , it glides on and easy to apply.
Really easy to build up and make an extra tail or add extra to bring your brows closer together.
I just feel like the colour was too flat for me... Do ELF make an auburn?
It lasted really well! I was quite shocked at how well this DID last. TWO DAYS! And I thought I had washed it off properly!!
I will purchase again , I might try the light?
Tips: Use a really good angle brush :)
