i've used this for a few years now and have always been pleased with the results, although a few of my friends who are fairer then me have ended up with it looking very orange on them.

Tips: Be careful using if you have fair skin
I love this product, its my must have for a gradual tan. Great size bottles and easy to find in most supermarkets. The consistency of the product is quite nice and thick and sometimes can be a bit harder to get out of the bottle but it goes on your skin nice and even and it has a bit of a scent but its not too overpowering. When i first started using it i put it on before bed and then had a nice colour in the morning but could remove the smell in the shower it didn't take to long to get used to it and i now quite like it. I find it really good to use everyday to build up a bit of colour and then every second to third day just to maintain. Its a good moisturiser and doesn't leave you orange its a nice natural subtle colour. Worth a try especially for the price.
Tips: Wash your hands after applying otherwise you'll end up with stains in between your fingers.
I use to use this before I fake tanned. It gains a quite natural tan that you can build up, although I have a hd a few horrors of streaking at times from over applying the moisturizer if you SLOWLY build it up to the color you want and reapply every couple of days it remains a long lasting natural tan, that fades nicely in my experience :)
This moisture was great at first but after a week of use my legs turned a weird orange colour and had a strange smell which took forever to get off my sheets.
I use this lotion at the beginning of "short season" to stop snowblinding people with my white legs! Its really does only take a couple of days to make a difference and unlike fake tans it is really easy to apply and smells nice!
Tips: Apply body lotion to your knees, elbows and ankles first to stop them from over tanning
I have been using this for a long time and haven't found anything better to deliver a natural, even and gradual tan. It applies easily and sinks in pretty quickly especially if you're out in the sun. As long as you are careful to apply it slowly and evenly with small amounts at a time you should get the desired results. Be careful to purchase the right colour for your skin because i notice when i'm lighter in the winter and apply my medium-dark summer glow it doesn't look as natural as when i use it as a top up in summer. The smell is quite delightful for a fake tan, I would describe it as almost apricot. Also, this might just be a coincidence but when I travelled to Fiji I used this moisturiser every day and I was the only person that didn't get insect bites .Magic insect repellent? Maybe!
Tips: Make sure you do a thorough job of exfoliating before application for best results and don't go too hard applying it twice a day - you will look more natural if you apply it sparingly over the week.
This is one of the best gradual tanners in terms of smell and colour - gives a nice natural looking golden colour without turning orange or smelling like a fake tanner (as is my experience with other gradual tanning lotions). One point lost though due to this product making me all itchy unless I keep it to the leg's area only - not suprising though as usually I don't react well to Dove products. As I am very pale one application of this in the fair shade at bed-time has the same effect as a normal self tanner lotion on me so it is definitely potent stuff!
Tips: If the smell of these types of products annoys you try using right before bed then shower in the morning.
I really like this product because it gives a really nice gradual tan, but its not too dark. It goes on easily and doesn't leave any streaks, which makes it one of the best self tanners I've used.
Tips: Exfoliate before you use it and make sure it is dry to avoid any mistakes.
I am very pale. Very very pale. My legs in particular are so white, they're reflective. So every year I go looking for something to take the glare off, and transform my vampire white skin into something a little more summery. I found Dove's product to be one of the best fake tanning products out there.
You build it over a few days so you don't end up with a streaky look, which is great for people like me who have failed multiple times with stronger tanning products (too impatient, and not enough attention to detail). You have a choice of light to darker brown to go with your existing skin tone. The moisturiser in the product is great and completely does the job.
I am not a fan of the smell - it's not a bad smell, but it is distinctive to tanning products, and I'd rather not smell it the whole day, so I would do what others have suggested here and put it on at night to give it a chance to disperse somewhat.
Great product, easy to use, very reasonable price point - really not a lot to complain about!
Tips: 1. Wash your hands after you've used it. 2. If you are looking for a more immediate effect, and are very pale, then use the darker version straight away. It comes up pretty well (but be more careful in your application to avoid streaks).
I love this product! It's so easy to use and gives me the perfect tan, it goes on so easy. After building the tan I do find it goes a bit patchy especially around my ankles. But it is the best tanning lotion and cheap.
Tips: Exfoliate before first use, then build the tan over 2-3 days. If it goes patchy, just exfoliate and reapply to even it out.
