I'm getting sunburned 334

Thsee palettes seem t set you up for the whole eye look. Appropriately each shade is embedded for its used so it goes browbone, crease and eyelid so good for guidance. To enhance any eye look. The packaging is a sleek little compact in a flip top see thru lid with the stickers at top & bottom of the lid stating product shade/name also securely sealing the palette closed until you break the seal which is perforated & continues on to the backing where it has the wet n wild labeling incld img a blurb about the palette, ingredients &barcode;. The backing is black plastic inside the palette are 2 brushes a sponge & a fluffy ended brush, which I gave to my daughter for her to play with. The colours I have a quite pretty & seem to have a pearlescent finish. Upon application I soon found out the finish is shimmer & that shimmer is very very bold. (Not my preference) sadly I was disappointed by the shimmer effect however we move on with this. Pigmentation is astounding with big A for pigmented so be careful to only apply a minimal amount to your brush and build up the look you want. Also the shadows are very very good with blending. So though the first use I made the mistake by getting too much product onto my brush I found out how great this stuff blends. I can safely say this is a good brand for its price but unfortunately I don't agree with the finish the whole 3 shades are very shimmery. So I rate it less because of it not being my favourite finish.

Tips: Go in with your brush lightly because this baby is super pigmented. Blend blend blend. Avoid their brushes provided and go with your normal shadow brushes for best application.

Its ok

It is such an affordable makeup brand and is actually underrated! It is so pigmented and only needs a little to make colour pull. The texture is soft and creamy and when worn feels very light. Totally recommend for a beginners kit or someone first starting out!

Tips: Wet brush befor application to get a more intense bold colour

Great pigmentation but too shimmery for me

I have purchased the shades 'walking on eggshells' and 'silent treatment', they are incredibly dense in pigmentation, easy to blend but unfortunately just too sparkly for my tastes. Also the walking on egg-shells has the wrong shade of brown in it in my opinion - it needs to be a bit darker to work well with the two complementary shades. Overall good quality for the price but only a bargain if one of the shades suits you.

Cute little trio

I have the Walking on Eggshells palette. It is probably the most talked about trio in this range of eyeshadows as it's beautiful neutral colours and these colours are all supposed to be Mac dupes. I personally don't own any mac eyeshadows so can't compare the colours or quality to them. I bought this quite a while ago off Beauty Joint. I have no idea how much I paid, maybe around $5? Something really cheap anyway!

The packaging of these isn't fancy. It's just a cheap looking see through plastic case with a black backing. You can easily see what colours are in there though so that would be handy if you owned a lot of these palettes. I'd imagine the casing might crack if you kept this in a bag but the seal does up really securely so I don't think you'd get any eyeshadow mess anywhere.

There are three highly shimmery colours in this. One thing I would change is for there to be one matte shade. These trios are marketed as being a whole look but I feel like having a matte crease shade would be more versatile. In this set there is a cream, warm brown and a pink. They are each marked with browbone, crease or eyelid to help you out with your look. Obviously you don't need to stick to these rules! I find the shadows to be very buttery and creamy. They are quite powdery though so I always tap off the excess product. They are also highly pigmented. In my opinion, wet'n'wild do the best cheap eyeshadow. These have a decent wear time on my lids although I do get some creasing and fading towards the end of the day.

With only three shades, you're not going to get endless looks from this. It is nice to use with other palettes though. I also really like the lightest shade as an inner corner highlight.

I would recommend this palette, they also did bigger sized palettes for more variety and they all have the same nice formula.

Interesting but not spectacular

Bought I'm Getting Sunburned cheap off Trademe. I liked the looks I saw people making on Google images, but that didn't translate well in person. The gold was nice, but the pink was too sheer and frosty, and the dark shade too dark. Not a great palette for a beginner - either needs to be applied lightly or more thickly by an expert.

The shadow itself is nice and soft. I bought a 6 pan palette with better colours for me, and ended up chucking this out. On the right skin tone this would be a good little palette.

Pigmented and compact!

I have this trio in I Dream of Greenie. I am very pleased with the pigmentation of these shadows and they are long lasting as well. I also like that it is imprinted on the shadows what part of the eyelid they should be placed on. The packaging it small and compact so is ideal for taking three decent shadows on the go.

Pretty little palette

I picked my Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio up at a makeup sale, for a few dollars. I have the palette #332: I'm Feeling Retro, which features a shimmery white highlight, a dark teal shade and a plum shade.

These palettes come in a black case with a clear lid, through which you can clearly see the shadows, which have suggested uses ('browbone' for the white, 'crease' for the teal and 'eyelid' for the plum) stamped on them. I tend to ignore this a little and use them how I want, but it's a good place to start.

Each shadow is a decent stripe of colour, making it easy to get a brush into. Ignore the brushes that come with it - they're teeny. Ones a sponge applicator, and the other is actually a brush, but they tend to be a bit blunt and smudgey, and I prefer my usual brushes for precision and blending.

These colours are reasonably subtle but can be built up a bit. They don't have quite the impact of some of my brighter colours in other palettes, but that does make them a little more wearable for work, and they're very pretty. They last a reasonable time during the day - enhanced by a shadow primer - but not outstandingly so. The finish is quite shimmery.

These shadows are very easily removed, although a wee lingering shimmer is sometimes evident. I like the palette, but am a little disappointed with the lack of vibrant pop.

Tips: Putting white eyeliner under the colours can help with the vibrancy

Beautifully Pigmented

I have Spoilt Brat and I’m Getting Sunburnt. They were super affordable at $2.24 on special from Walgreens. I would say these are the best drug store eyeshadows out there so if you are on a budget you should definitely invest in a few trios. They have amazing pigmentation and the colours are beautiful. These shadows are incredibly straight forward and easy to use especially as they have printed on the colours where each of them are meant to go. The packaging is nothing fancy but it is sturdy and very compact so they are easy to take with you on the go.

Shade knock on wood

This is one of my favourite neutral trios. The color combination is perfect for my skin tone and creates dimension in my eyes really well. The feel of the powder is a bit on the dry side and there's a bit of fall out so I make sure to tap my brush each time I pick up color. The pigmentation is awesome and blends in so easily. It stays on well and doesn't collect in creases. There's a fair amount of eyeshadow in each pan and the clear container it comes in is completely see through, which makes it easy to tell which is which. Definitely recommend this for beginners who want to try neutral colors at a cheap price.

Fantastic!

For me I think these are the BEST value for money drugstore eye-shadows currently on the market!

I have Knock on wood, silent treatment and sweet as candy trio palettes.

If your on a budget (and even if your not) these are great staple go to eye shadows, which have never let me down. The color payoff with all of the shades (in every palette I own) is just fantastic. The texture of these is also lovely being buttery and easy to blend. You can get so many looks from these palettes and they contain great complimentary shades. I find the wear time of these shadows is generally great too and with a primer they will not fail you.

The packaging isn't anything amazing but that's to be expected with a low end palette and to be honest I'd rather amazing shadows than a pretty box which gives poor quality results. The packaging is functional and sturdy and closes tightly (even though it looks cheap, I would still be confident to travel with any of these, as the clasp is secure and the plastic thick and strong).

The saying you get what you pay for really does not apply with these. I think everyone should at least try these out once! Highly recommended and a product I will definitely be repurchasing!

Tips: Umm yeah...Buy some NOW! I got mine from beautyjoint, which is where I would recommend you purchase them, The trios are only $3.99 (prices in US dollars)
