Lush Honey I Washed The Kids Review

Best-selling honey toffee soap-sation

Honey I Washed the Kids is one of our best-selling soaps because it’s simply irresistible. People who fully intended to walk past a LUSH shop find themselves unable to resist its sweet caramel fragrance. You’ll inhale, drool, pick up a big chunk and immediately want to wash yourself all over with it. It’s so gentle, buttery and scrumptious you’ll have a hard time keeping it to yourself. The honey water and aloe are so softening and moisturizing, you can use our toffee-scented sensation on the whole family.

Creamed honey

I do 90% of my Lush shopping online because we live so far away from a Lush store so when I was scrolling through the pages recently I saw this. It hasn't caught my eye in the past because I typically go for the strong sweet scented soaps but after doing some BR reading I felt like I was missing out on a good thing.

This soap would have to be the best looking lush soap it is a gorgeous caramel colour with a darker coloured honeycomb design on top this looks so effective and sets it apart from the rest.

The scent of this is very tame compared to a lot of Lush soaps. It's a beautiful caramel honey scent and it is so creamy. It has a decent amount of lather with it and once I start using it I can't put it down it just feels so nice on my skin it feels really moisturising.

After a few uses the honey comb piece fell off but I find it great for using on my hands after I have been gardening as it's quite rough it's good at removing dirt.

Overall I really like this soap for when I want something a bit more subtle and the moisturising is great

The kids aren't getting their hands on this stuff!

This is another Lush product that i just had to get my hands on after hearing some amazing things. I'll admit, hearing amazing things did tempt, but not enough to buy the actual product. It wasn't until i went into a lush store are saw this huge soap slab, that i had to buy it.

Firstly, if you see this in a Lush Store.. drool! I beleive this is the prettiest and most detailed soap from the Lush range. The soap itself is a beautiful milky caramel colour, with a thick layer of honeycomb on top. Now of course i don't mean real honey comb. But it is this beautiful dark honey colour waxy product, which is embossed with a honey comb print. It looks stunning. However, i do find this bit of the soap a bit hard against my skin, so i do just peel it off the soap in the end.

This soap smells incredible. Its has the warmth of honey, but a warm and sweet butterscotch undertone. Drool. It seriously smells so good.

As a soap, it functions to perfection. It lathers well, it is is easy to hold, and it cleans skin without stripping it or drying it out at all. Plus it fills the bathroom with the most amazing caramel scent. So really, it is a multi purposeful product, half soap, half room fragrance.

This is one of the more expensive soaps from the Lush range but it is 100% worth it. I don't buy it all the time because it is expensive, but if i am in the Lush area, you can guarantee i'll be picking one of these up!

Soft Honey Caramel

This purchase was from the Lush Honey Gift pack, the piece I received was part of the lower section without the clear toffee coloured top. I love how the whole undivided piece looks like a giant Crème brûlée pudding.

The colour is a creamy caramel colour with no bells or whistles (or sparkle or any such decoration), it smells so beautiful like a soft honey lolly that you just can't get enough of. It lathers really well and leaves my skin feeling moisturised but not oily... just, well... nourished I guess. This soap can last a fair amount of time in your shower if kept high and dry, but yet it makes a great all round family soap (even the boys like to grab for this one).

Tips: Request a sample next time you visit in-store or online

If you get KP you need to start using this

I have horrendously dry skin, I get ingrown hairs easily and I get something called KP as well as dermatitis. This stuff is the S$@#!!!!!! Body-wash schmody-wash, I'm never going back. This is me forever and if Lush stop making it I'm going full at home scientist and figuring out the recipe myself. It softens my skin enough for me to properly exfoliate and does not dry it out and even leaves it feeling lightly moisturised. I regret all the time I ever spent trying to find something else that would work the way this stuff does for me. I have not reacted to it once and that says a lot because as well as having overly dry, dermatitis, KP, sometimes combination skin, it also reacts to some ingredients. I have not once had any issues come about due to using this soap. Yes Lush can be a little pricey, but this is worth every penny you spend and you will not regret it. Guess what all my friends are getting for Xmas?!

Tips: Spend all your money on it!!!

An oldie but a goodie!

In my mind, this is a classic Lush product. It has that classic honey smell that Lush is famous for. Its my everyday go to Lush soap because it really does smell delicious, not too overpowering and sweet. It looks really funky, almost like caramel. It doesn't lather up as well as i would like my soaps too but i still know im getting a good clean. It doesn't dry your skin out, in fact, i felt it left my skin quite moisturised afterwards.

Tips: Keep it somewhere dry and dry it after each use so it will last longer.

Good for everyone

This soap is perfect for the whole family. Scented like sweet creamy honey, it's perfect for sensitive skin. It builds up a thick lather and leaves your skin feeling clean while still super soft. The scent as good for everyone as its not too strong so everyone will love it. It's just a good all round soap guaranteed to be loved by everyone.

An all time Lush fave!

Honey I washed the Kids is one of the first Lush soaps I ever used and I still love it now. My name means honey bee so maybe that's why I'm so drawn to a soap that smells so much like yummy honey! As all Lush soaps it leaves my skin soft, clean and feeling great. As Lush suggest this is a good one for the kids!

Love this scent

This is a really subtle honey scent that isn't too sweet. It froths up really easily and creates a lovely scent in the shower. The bar does build up soap scunge easily in the shower. I do prefer this in shower gel form as I find shower gel easier to use and also travel with than bar soap. But the scent is to die for.

Lush Honey I Washed The Kids Honey Caramel Soap

This seemed to be a really popular soap so it was on my list to try. It has a honey with a hint of caramel like scent and lathers really well. I did enjoy showering with this soap although I can't use it everyday since I have sensitive skin and this soap has sodium lauryl sulfate. Despite that it does have some other good natural ingredients in it like rapeseed oil, coconut oil, glycerine, honey aloe vera extract and gardenia extract. I'm not exactly sure what gives this soap it's scent but it does have perfume so unfortunately this scent isn't just purely from the honey and sweet wild orange oil and bergamot oil. This soap lathers up nicely thanks to the SLS but because of that my skin is a bit dry as a result after I shower. That being said most sulfate loaded soaps dry out my skin but this is one the less drying side of the sulfate loaded bars. I do enjoy using this but I'm not sure if I'll get this again just because of the sulfate.

Tips: If you don't mind sulfates this is a nice choice for a Lush soap but if you do have sensitive skin save it for use every few days.

Yummy goodness in a bar.

I received this soap in a Lush gift box for my birthday last year and I just fell in love. I could smell the yummy toffee/ hunny scent without even using it. The smell wasn't over powering either which I was happy about because there's nothing worse then finding something so delicious but not being able to take full advantage of it because of the headache you get from an overpowering smell. Im a bar of soap kind of girl and hardly use shower gels so when I saw the massive size of it I got excited. I was lucky to get a top piece, the bar is a light creamy buttery color with a thin toffee colored layer.

I used it in the shower and noticed it lathered well and had a nice creamy feel to it. I also found myself worrying how long id be able to keep the bar as it seemed to melt away in my hands. I would store the soap in my cabinet between uses as I would only use this soap once or twice a week between my other soap. Also because if I left it in my shower the next time id go to use it, the edges would be a jelly like texture.

Once out the shower, dried and dressed, I could still smell that yummy caramel smell. Its alot lighter then the smell of the bar itself which I was happy about as I didn't want to end up getting sick of the smell. My skin felt so soft and smooth that I didn't need any moisturizer.

I"m always conscious of the products I use due to skin sensitivity and the Lush Honey I Washed The Kids bar of soap definitely has my tick of approval.
