Works but the smell

My skin drank this up happily. It left my dry skin feeling much more hydrated and was completely non greasy. Honestly one of the best moisturizers I have tried (and I feel like I have tried them all)

The downside was the smell. The rose smell is over powering and I could still smell it for almost an hour after application, sadly I am not a fan or rose scent normally so this makes me unlikely to buy again.

First time Trilogy user

I wouldn't normally purchase Trilogy products because they are out of my price range, but I was lucky enough to get this in my Beauty Box! I have used it a few times now, and while I do like it and think it's a pretty good moisturiser, I'm not overly sold about using it on my face. The smell is nice, but so overpowering. Personally, I prefer using less fragrant products on my face, and would prefer this one as for use on my hands.

I liked the consistency though, as it was nice and light, and not too greasy.

Tips: Maybe don't go for this one if you are like me and don't like using strong smelling products on your face. Use it on your hands before bed though for nice soft hands!

Trilogy Vital

Trilogy is well known for their excellence in Rosehip oil and skincare products. When I saw that it was in our Beauty Box I was excited and overwhelmed with excitement to use a Trilogy product.

This Trilogy moisturising cream comes in a 50 ml Tube that sits on itself. It has a silver lid to screw on and off. This white, red and silver being their main branding colours. To get product out , simply squeeze this bottle gently disperse cream.

The consistency of this cream is a normal cream thickness. On this bottle it says the cream has Rosapene marula and Orange flower. The scent of this cream is like roses and oranges. It smells quite strong but nice. This cream feels like my dry skin is soaking this cream up well.

My results from using this cream is hydrated smooth skin. With daily use I still have product remaining in my bottle. I love that its made in New Zealand. I'd love to try more products from Trilogy. I'vd enjoyed using this product.

Beautiful

We all need a good facial moisturiser containing lovely natural ingredients and that is what this is, although I would say that it's somewhat of a luxury product considering the price. The packaging also has a luxury, quality & sophisticated look and feel to it, the tube stands on it's aluminium screw-top and the product dispenses steadily with ease.

The consistency of the cream is ideal, works into the skin very smoothly, absorbs quickly, and is very hydrating. It feels light-weight on the skin and leaves it looking and feeling dewy- smooth. The scent however, I'm not a fan of. It's a very strong fragrant rose scent which I find is similar to some of the Essano products.

As much as i'm enjoying this product I can't justify the price. It's a beautiful product to use despite my personal disliking of the scent, but it just seems like too much money for me for not a lot of product.

Better than expected

Cards on the table, I'm not the biggest fan of Trilogy products. I find them too rich and heavy for my combination skin. Having said that, I was pleasantly surprised by this. It applied lighter than other Trilogy moisturisers I've tried (although I was only using this as a night cream) and it didn't make me break out. It was easy to rub in and didn't leave me feeling greasy or dehydrated. I love the fact Trilogy uses rosehip oil as a base to their products and they are an NZ brand.

My verdict? Still a little heavy for my skin, but a great product for those who need plenty of hydration.

Tips: Trilogy does some cute travel sets so you can try a small size before you commit to the hefty price tag of a full-sized product.

I agree Kirsty. Maybe when I'm a little older I will need it, but currently I'm still battling combination skin!

I have been using this as a night cream as well! I agree you would have to have super dry skin to use this as a day cream :)

Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream

Smells beautiful. This product felt silky smooth when applied to my skin, absorbed really quickly and gave a velvety feel. Have not really noticed a reduction of fine lines yet, but will keep using. For the price I would say it is a good deal

Tips: Probably needs a serum to go with it to really help with hydration

Trilogy

I was thrilled to receive this in the March beauty box - because I seriously do NOT have $50 to spend on a face cream!! That is the only reason why I would not buy it, that's far too expensive.

In saying that, I do like this cream but dont love it. I love the smell - I'm a huge fan of natural products. It also feels really nice on my skin. The cream isn't too thick or heavy, it's in the middle so it's not too light either. I found it absorbs REALLY fast, it almost feels like I need to add more but my skin doesn't feel like it needs more.

Who knows if it helps protects the signs of ageing? I guess I would need to use this product for a long time to actually prove that claim, but for now I haven't noticed any difference.

Good, but a bit pricey

I did like this product. It is rich and nourishing, yet easily absorbed, just as advertised. I'm not so sure about the smoothing of wrinkles though..? I received this in a beauty box which is why I am using it. I do like the product, but feel there are other similar products on the market for cheaper.

Tips: A little does go a fairly long way.

It's all coming up roses!

The thing I love most about the BRBB is the fact that skincare is a big yes, and I was more than delighted to see this in the box. I wouldn't spend $50 on a moisturizer, I barely spend that much on clothes. So 'delighted' doesn't even begin to cover my happiness.

The tube is gorgeous. Bigger than I expected a Trilogy item to be. The lid is gorgeous - it looks like cool metal, and feels a bit like it too. It's a gorgeous silver and a twist top. The product itself is a gorgeous creamy white, and as with a lot of Trilogy products it has a strong scent of roses.

I don't mind the rose smell, but it is a little overpowering sometimes. I squeeze a pea sized amount out and rub it all over my face. It's so gorgeous and creamy! I rub it in over rose hip oil, as well. I find though that I need to use more or a different moisturizer on top, as this one sinks in, but it sinks in too much that my skin feels dry again. Maybe it's a mindset thing, but I personally don't like having to use more product when this one states it provides hydration, and for the price you would think it would do as it says.

I haven't seen any improvement in my skin, but I haven't broken out in rashes either, so that's a big fat plus. It also absorbs really well, which I thought was good as I could get on with my makeup quicker. I have since passed it on to my mum as I have far too many, but it really was a nice moisturizer. If it weren't $50 I would repurchase gladly, just for the smell alone!

I actually gave mine away - but I got it in March and was using nearly every day and I had only used maybe 1/4 of the tube, maybe less. It lasted a long time!

I've been thinking about getting this but it's just the price that puts me off. How long did a tube last you?

A decent natural moisturiser

I am a die hard Trilogy fan so it was only natural I buy this moisturiser. It comes in a plastic tube which is great as it’s hygenic to use and easy to pop in any bag. It has the typical earthy smell that all the Trilogy products have which I like but it can be overwhelming if you’re not used to it. It’s a nice consistency and easy absorbed into the skin but there was nothing stand out for me. I’ve tried other natural brands at 1/3 of the price of this product ($54) that I’ve felt worked better than this. It does moisturise the skin but leaves my face very shiny and seems to enhance my pores. I won’t buy this again for myself but it may suit others skin tone more than mine.

Tips: There is a trial size pack with 4 mini products available for around $35 which is a great way to try before committing to a full size of the cream
