Smooooooth skin

This product surprised me as I'm not usually into face washes/masks that I really have to rub into my skin.

The packaging is nice but nothing special. I do like the glass jar but it makes it quite heavy so it's not too great for travelling.

I find it hard to describe the smell. It honestly reminds me of the smell of hairdressers when they put the moisturizing product in your hair at the end..... but in the best way!

I find I only need a small amount as it says and it is enough for my whole face. You put the product on to dry skin which I did find weird at first but it works. Once it is rubbed all over you add warm water and then rub in circular motions until all of the sugar is disolved. I. Love. This. Bit. I find it so relaxing and calming. It probably takes about a minute for it all to dissolve and it then feels like a light moisturiser. It washes off easily with a splash of water or two.

And man oh man the after feeling is seriously so nice. Like they say, it really does leave my skin feel baby soft! I haven't noticed any radical changes over the week but I love what it does at the time.

I have very dry sensitive skin and have had no reactions either which is awesome.

I love this product and probably will repurchase. I think it will last me a long time too!

Miracle Product for Dry Skin

It's been a long couple of months. I've been in 30 degree Australian heat, 3 degree NZ winter cold, air conditioning, allergy inducing enviornment's and generally put my skin through it's paces. When I finally got a chance to stop and evaluate the situation, it wasn't good. The skin under my eyes was flaking, around my mouth was dry, I had texture forming in the cheek area and the overall appearance was one of dehydration. Time to try the Loreal Paris Sugar Nourishing Face Scrub! The smell and look reminded me of the dairy food chocolate yoghurts I had as a child. What could be more delicious than anything smelling like chocolate! Texture of the product was grainy but not harsh. My first application was pure success. A small amount rubbed in circular motions all over the face. A little water, continued gentle motions until dissolved, pat dry and oh my god! My skin was soft, flakes were gone, no tightness and a pleasant residue of smoothness left on the skin. I continued every couple of days. Fabulous. However, allergies kicked in again and created more flakieness around my eyes and mouth. I thought to myself "can this product spot treat?". Proof is in the pudding, so I tried a very small amount, very gently around the under eye and lip areas. A perfect result, removing excess dry skin in the morning prior to putting my makeup on. It turns out this product is a must have for me providing moisture, nourishment, exfoliant and brightness to skin that is not at it's best right now. I would definitely repurchase the product.

Scrumptious sugar scrub

So like most cocoa butter products this smells Devine, almost good enough to eat... but please don't it really does not taste nice. The sugar scrub comes in a nice gold box which is about twice the size of the product within, a dark glass jar with gold lid is nicely presented. To use rub a small amount on clean dry skin then massage in with warm water until disloved then rinse well. When going on dry it is quite scratchy but feels great once wet, if you don't rinse well it will leave your face feeling sticky from the sugars. I found after using this scrub 6 times my skin looks much brighter and feels smoother over all, I have been using every second day (and once two days in a row which I don't recommend as it was still tender from the day before), I then rinse off in the shower and apply a light moisturizer after use. I like doing my lips most as it reminds me of doing baby oil and blistex treatments when I was very young and gets rid of any crusty dry skin from your lips to make them look nice again. I also used on my chest neck area as I have dry skin from summer and this made it a lot clearer. Good value for money and if used a directed a jar would last around a month to 6 weeks so not too pricey. I will be adding this to my weekly beauty routine.

Tips: Wash off lips thoroughly after use .. this product does not taste nice if you get it in your mouth, also it is quite abrasive so avoid frequent use, no more than 3 times a week

Sugar, Sugar

I was really excited to try the L'Oréal Paris Sugar Scrubs Nourishing Face Scrub that promises baby soft skin with the help of three sugars and cocoa butter. I really like the packaging, the squarish shape of the container, and the packaging size. The product itself is quite thick in texture and initially I was unsure how much to use. For application, it recommends to mix with water, but I found it easier to apply to my face first with slightly wet hand, and then add a small amount of water when spreading it, which works quote well in shower. The sugar resolves relatively fast (depending on how much water you use), and the smell is very pleasant. I found it reasonably hard to remove after application. Even you wash it off, it still feels like there is some left on your skin. It definitely has a smoothing, softening effect, and skin looks more even and radiant after a few applications. I think using it every second day is maybe a bit of an overkill, I would consider usage twice a week.

Tips: Use while in the shower.

a nice gentle scrub

Firstly thank you so much Beauty review for selecting me for this trial, I love a good scrub and exfoliator so I was excited to try this.

The packing is a nice big sturdy glass jar with a screw top lid. The brown glass looks clean and crisp with minimal writing on the jar.

The product itself is a caramel colour and is a thick consistency, it reminds me of coconut oil. I can definitely smell the cocoa butter in it as the scent hits you as soon as you open the jar.

I scoop out about a teaspoon amount and spread it around my face and rubbing the sugars in. This is a very fine scrub and very nonabrasive. I do prefer the really abrasive ones for my dry skin but this is still nice. It does feel slightly greasy and oily on the skin.

Once I pat my skin dry my skin feels soft and moisturised from the cocoa butter. I did have break outs the first time I used it but it wasn’t too bad.

Overall it is a nice scrub and I would buy it again. i have been using this every second day and I think for my dry skin I am lucky to be able to get away with it.

Lovely smooth face using this!

I was on the hunt for a new scrub and found this.. it's a bit more expensive for a small jar, however I've loved both the scent and the quality exfoliation it gives me. The sugars are very fine, which is better for your skin, some scrubs leave me looking like I have used sandpaper but not this one.

The only improvement I would love would be a squeeze container rather than jar with lid as I do like to use scrubs in the shower and it's a bit fiddly.

Tips: Great to get rid of flaky skin or lipstick remains using a babywipe

Soft to the touch

I happened to get a sample of this product and decided to put it to the test today, because its only a sample size its only got enough for two uses so keep this in mind as i review it. On opening the packet im hit with a really lovely cocoa butter scent which im a fan of anyway so i have no problems smoothing this all over my face. The packet says to add water to soften the sugars but clearly my house is warm enough as the sugars are already melting on and into my skin. It feels quite greasy but not overly and a bit of exfoliation is going on as the sugars feel quite fine. Like a castor sugar feel. The first lot i put on you can hardly see that i have a scrub on so i put a bit more on and the chocolate colour comes through onto my face a bit more. Enough to make the husband compare me to trump lol. I give it a good rub in the problem spots and leave it on approx 15 minutes before i wash it off. It doesn't say this in the instructions but i figured it couldn't hurt. It comes off easily and my face feel so soft and like ive had a oil treatment. Not greasy but enough to make me wonder if i need to bother putting anything else on my face. To be honest its pretty close to babys skin soft. Im quite impressed and i love the smell its so nice. For the rest of the day im quite amazed at how soft my face feels and im really happy. Definitely off to buy the big size now as i can see it would be really beneficial for lips and im actually keen to try it on my hands to soften them up. I definitely recommend it :)

Smells beautiful

When I scooped this scrub out of the container it started melting on my fingers. I rubbed it onto my face and fell in love with the fragrance. It smelt good enough to eat! The texture was very fine and felt gentle to rub on. This is unlike other scrubs that have felt harsh on my face. I had to work on my dry areas a little longer because it is very gentle and left them dry after the first use. After using this sugar scrub for 2 weeks I found my skin became soft and subtle.

Tips: Even though it says to use it on your lips be very careful. If you get it in your mouth it tastes yucky.

Cocoa butter over your face

I didn’t buy it but 2 sample sachets were given to me. It is quite thick but melts easily with the heat of your fingers. This was gentle and made my skin very soft and you could see the difference satright away. It smells amazing and feels like you keep scrubbing every time. My skin was glowing without the need of the moisturiser but it is very important that we use a good moisturiser. I have been using it twice a week for 2 weeks those 2 sachets and will surely recommend buying it. The only thing I found it difficult was to take it out of the sachet because it was too thick and felt like the oil essential has made it difficult to come out in winters. I am not sure if it will be easy if bought the container. I have normal skin and this worked well on my skin, soft and glowing but not sure if this will work well on oily skin. My skin became a bit oily at places like nose, upper lip and chin. Overall it was good and I will use it again.

Tips: Twice a week of use is good and more frequent use will make the skin oily.

Sugar scrub

My friend recommended I try this scrub. It reminds me of a exfoliator scrub but less rough. It smells quite nice and feels like it removed the dried up skin on my face. Bit expensive but I was lucky enough to be able to use my friends.
